Cathain's Pov~

"S-She is!!MMPHH!!"

Noah was about to blurt out the truth but I covered his mouth with my palm.

"Shut up, you damn kid!"

I spoke with an irritating look on my face as it would be hard to explain this all if Elee starts to ask questions.

She only knows that we were going to help someone and this damn kid appeared out of nowhere.

In the end, I had no choice but to pick him up with us.

As the master of the magic tower, Noah De Kieran Hertz can easily feel the amount of mana powers one has in their body and that too what kind of magical attribute that person possess.

In my past life and in the second timeline, he never interacted with any people outside of the magic tower and her possessing the twin magical powers were never revealed in public.

Because everyone loathes the people born with Dark powers.

Back in the past, I just didn't care about anything else after I regained my sanity because of Eleanora passing her holy powers to me right before her execution.

Where in the second timeline, she had good friendship with that 'Cathain' and thus he helped her to keep this a secret.

Thus Noah never knew that she has dark attribute powers, which is enough to destroy this world and that's why I need to keep her beside us no matter how much I hate it.

It's better to keep your enemy beside you then letting them stay out of your side. I can't let Duke Raven get a hold of her and harm my empress again.

But my heart skipped a beat after I heard her voice.

The way she called Prince Dominic her brother and the look in her eyes… it was just like her past self.

She was innocent but evil at the same time.

None of her war tactic ever failed and the reason why our empire grew so stronger in my last life was all because of her schemes.

But still she couldn't help but fell into someone else's scheme just because she loved me and… paid the price with her life.

With all this thought roaming in my eye, I felt disgusted as I glared at the blonde girl before me.

The only person in this world who have Dark attribute powers, the trump card of Duke Raven.

If it was possible, I want to strangle her to death and then torture her father so bad that he wouldn't even dare to reborn again.

She might have changed after getting a second chance but still the fact that my life was all messed up because of her couldn't be changed.

There might be different endings but that doesn't mean you can erase the starting as you want.

Like how the fact that I executed my empress can't be changed.

I became a sinner because of them.

Just by seeing her again was making me lose my control, my hands were urging me to draw the sword and sent her neck to flying in the same way she made me to do it to my empress.

She made me hate her, snatched my peace, ruined me; made me the killer of my child and the woman I loved so much.

No matters what reasons she had or how much remorse or regretful she was and how she fixed her mistakes in another timeline can't make me not the executioner of my empress.

'But I can't do that now… I need her alive, only she can do that…'

I clenched my fist tightly as I needed to control my emotions.

The blonde girl before me was trembling because of the superior aura I was imitating.

My mind kept telling me as Elle was around me.

How she was brushed aside as this girl stood beside me.

How she rushed out from there with tear filled eyes and how I had slapped her under the influence of dark magic just because of this girl before me!!

And just then I felt a soft touch on my upper arm and immediately felt calm.

I find her holding my arms as she stared at the trembling girl before us.

"Are you alright?"

Elle asks while staring at Liana with a curious yet confused expression and she unconsciously held my arms just like she used to do in the modern world.

Or, maybe she also used to do in this world but I never got the chance to experience it.

'Because you haven't spent any leisure time with her… take her anywhere she wanted to go.'

'You trapped her into your cage, in the imperial place where the only time she would go out meant there was emergency for the empress to finally come out from the palace to handle it.'

'Do you even know anything about her except your creepy obsession with her in the name of love?'

My inner voice mocked me as I felt another painful pain in my heart.

Her jewel blue eyes were fixed on Liana as she also looked at Elle with the same curious gaze.

I protectively put my hands over hers as my gaze sharpens on the girl before me.

I had intended to keep her away from Elle but didn't expected that even after trying to save Dominic and her a few days earlier would ended up as the same as the past.

The same Dark ally, the same incident but this time we saved Dominic and now facing her.

In the past it was Jennifer who had saved him both times.

And another fear rises in my heart as I thought about how I couldn't change the past even after trying this much.

I found Dominic but in the end he escaped and got caught by those people.

I sent someone to watch over this girl but she also ended up at this same street.

If we were any second late, she would have saved Dominic just like in the past.

With all those thoughts, my eye becomes soft as I turn my gaze on the girl beside me with mixed feelings.

'What if I can't change the past?'

'Will I end up harming my empress again?'
