CH 40 ~ Mystery

Noah's Pov~

Weird… everything is messed up.

My inner voice told me as I thought about the situation before me.

The dark blue haired boy must be one of the princes of Arndell because I can sense a high amount of holy powers in him.

But why is he in this state?

Then the weird behavior of this Crown prince before me.

In the first timeline, I roughly heard about his tyranny after he executed the empress and then the whole timeline was destroyed because of their stupid move to turn back the time.

After that, the curse of the imperial family broke… I don't know how but it happened.

And now we are back in the time again, I am sure this has something to do with this crown prince.

To ensure that this crown prince doesn't bring back the curse again, I decided to keep an eye on him and this is how I ended up being here.

But one thing is clear; this crown prince remembers both timeline and he is probably from the first timeline.

If he was the crown prince of the second timeline, he wouldn't react so hostilely towards this blonde girl.

The way he acts and behaves is far superior then that second timeline's crown prince.

Because that crown prince was loved… he ruled over his people with love with his beloved empress.

But the man before me has suffered from harshness, deprived from love and was known as the tyrant emperor because of his endless power.

His soul is broken… his eye says it all.

The way he looks at her with fear, regret, affection and eagerness to be loved… he is an obsessed man full of cruelty.

Someone, who knows how to seize his power and make people submit to him,

His aura is powerful but lonely.

So he can't be the crown prince of the second timeline which timeline continued till the modern life.

We are in the first timeline, before this timeline was destroyed.

And this girl in front us… is Duke Raven's lost daughter who was the queen in the first timeline.

Or can be said just a queen in name as the emperor never married her.

The day when she was about to be crowned as the queen, she suddenly felt unconscious before signing the marriage papers and then it was declared that she lost the child because of poisoning.

The first suspect was the empress and she was executed for harming the heir of the throne, which was all just a plan by Duke Raven.

I can vaguely sense what really happened now.

As she has dark powers, she probably did something to the emperor with this in the first timeline which made him to execute the empress and then she helped the crown prince in the second timeline to redeem for her mistakes.

But that had nothing to do with this crown prince before me because he was not in the second timeline and the person whom she helped was also not him.

This is why he is furious by seeing her… controlling his urge to not kill her.

His hatred is clear and strong, a vengeful soul. Just like 'him'.

I sighed as I shook my head.

Why is this situation so messed up?

His story is more messed up then the other emperor's.

As I thought about the other emperor's I suddenly started to feel gloomy again.

Anyone would be thinking if I knew everything, then why I didn't tried to stop this curse; right?

But what was the use?

I watched emperor's after emperor's to suffer from the same heartbreak as the first emperor, whose soul had turned vengeful and became the curse of the imperial family.

No matter how much I tried, I couldn't stop those tragedies.

I tried and tried and then I finally gave up.

Yeah, their tragedies made me numb towards feelings.

The repeat of my life again and again made me hate the new people and relationships around me.

They all will die one day, but I will still remember them in my next life and this will continue.

The 3rd empress died young by illness, the 4th empress died by assassination, the 5th empress died while giving birth to the prince, the 6th empress died by drowning… and the list grew years after years and the only common thing was the emperor's suffered because of their dead.

All of them were like the first emperor, unable to express their feelings and then suffered the most because of the other person's dead.

And what was I doing?

I couldn't do anything.

I couldn't prevent their deaths and at a time I just became numb.

No matter what I do, I can't stop this curse which started because of me.

If I didn't gave 'him' hope that there was a way to turn back the time or a way to bring 'her' back; he wouldn't have tried it upon himself and suffer the backlash of magical powers.

As the caster of the magic, I lived as long as this curse existed.

I had to see how they suffered because of my mistake.

Only if I had made him realize the reality, forced him to accept her death and live his life, none of this would happen.

This was why, no matter what happened in the past, I ignored it and shut myself in the magic tower.

Even after this timeline was destroyed and I saw 'him' again, I ignored everything when the new timeline started.

Because I thought that the same thing will happen again, but unexpectedly the curse got broken and I was reborn in the modern timeline with no memories of my past lives until I was back in this first timeline again.

No matter what, the crown prince before me isn't that much capable to do this all alone.

The curse got broken, the second timeline continued normally, even the soul of those two should have probably vanished to get reborn.

So the mystery here is why are we back in the time again when everything went well?

Especially, why in this destroyed timeline and…

Who turned back the time?
