Part 8 : The Ring

"It looks lovely." I picked up the ring. It is a silver ring that had a small stone in the middle which I couldn't still figure out the color of.

I cleaned it a little with the end of my shirt and blew off the sand off it and because I like shiny things, I tried it on. The moonlight reflected off of it turned to the sea.

"Amazing" I said in amazement and looked at it in awe.

Then Bruno started barking.

I snapped out of it when Bruno started running towards the ocean.

"Bruno! Nonononono Bruno! Come back!"

I quickly went and scooped Bruno up before going into the deep water.

I sighed. "Good thing I'm wearing sandals."

I hear water splashing and I looked up to see a tail.

My eyes widen "Damn that's a large fish" I raised my shoulders. "Come on, Bruno. I need to bathe you again." It's a good thing it's summer too.

I woke up at the sound of the alarm and Bruno started to whine at the sound.

"Sorry Bruno. Good morning."

In my routine, I added some new changes which are all about Bruno.

I feed him first, then brush his fur, wipe his face and then do my routine.

Today, I only get to go to Briana's house since I didn't meet her yesterday for the project.

I just carried Bruno as I went to Briana's house which is a fifteen-minute walk away.

I am now at the front of her gate and she's already in their terrace.

"Caroline-YOU GOT A PUPPY?!" She hurriedly came to the gate and opened it.

We sat in her terrace and I set down Bruno and Skip showed up and they played as me and Briana do the project.

A couple of hours went by and me and Briana were halfway done with the project.

"Wanna go to the mall? I have to get something. We can leave the dogs here for a bit."

I nodded.

We were on our way to the mall and I remember the boy I just met. We entered the mall after logging in and then went to the second floor.

"Briana, actually the other day I met-"

"Caroline, look! That's a cute boy that I've been bumping into for the past few days.

What? Briana too?

Briana smirked. "Just follow me and pretend that you're gonna buy something."

"uhm...okay." I just know from that brown hair that it is Levi. Oh shoot I still don't know how what he looks like.

We went to aisle where Levi was and he was picking out dog collars and name tags.

I went closer and picked one that is a silver paw with a blank space in the middle. I need that.

I picked the name tag. "Nice" I said as I examined it. "This will look nice on Bruno."

Briana tapped me on my shoulder which made me turn around. We were now facing Levi's back.

Briana tapped on his back and he turned around.

Levi tilted his head. "Oh, its you again. We happen to be bumping at each other very often." He turned to me and his eyes widened then partially closed. "Coraline! Glad to see you again."

"You know Caroline?" Briana asked in shock.

Levi nodded. "Yep. We just met the other day, right Caroline?" Levi looked at me and I panicked.

"yeah uh...this is my best friend Briana." I pointed at Briana. "I'm gonna go look for some chew toys" I lied as an excuse.

"I'll come with you. I'm looking for some as well."

Darn it!

I turned around the aisle and saw a tall boy with platinum blonde hair. That's miss Olivia's son, Kosair!

I turned back around and I felt my heart racing a million miles per minute and there's something happening in my stomach.

Am I having diarrhea?

"Oh it's you" A low and comforting voice said behind me.

I looked up.
