Part 60: Did you wrong

Harvey carefully treats Caroline's wounds. He takes out a small vile from his pocket and made her drink it.

"I will never let this happen to you ever again...when I find that human, I-" Harvey's voice was about to raise with anger when the doorbell rang repeatedly.

Harvey quickly went to the door and saw Kosair's twin, Kole. His face was horrified.

Harvey opened the door and cursed at himself since there was still visible blood on the doorframe.

"What the heck happened here?!" Kole started to get angry as his knuckles were white from clenching his fists. "Where the heck is Caroline?! Did you beat her up?!?! You little shi-"

"Your mother did this." Harvey casually answered Kole.

"What?" Kole answered in surprise. His anger turned into disbelief in a flash second.

"I'm Destiny. I destined this to happen...but I didn't expect that human to hit her unconscious." Destiny felt disappointed by himself. He can only destined lives of sirens but not humans. This was also why he needs Caroline to change into a siren after they fled to another country.

"I'm gonna find that bitch and kill her in front of her family." Kole said with gritted teeth.

Harvey nods with his idea but changed the subject. "So...I assume you have something to talk about?"

Kole then tried to calm down himself for a good minute before speaking. He looked at Harvey. "The sholters are days away from attacking. After the end of the week, there will be war with them and the seven seas. We've already been spied on and we need your help to win."

Kole sounded desperate buy it was worth when saving the kingdom.

Harvey sighed and looked at him with a pained smile. "How can I help you when you look like him?"

"What? My brother? We're twins if that's not clear to you." Kole said in a bored voice.

"Helping you is helping Kosair. I don't want him to take Caroline from me. Both of you look like your father when he was your age. Your whole family did me wrong. Therefore, I will not help you."

Caroline grumbled. She starts to wake up and the medicine he gave her worked.

Caroline woke up and rubbed her eyes. After a moment, she panicked. "H-Harvey, I got knocked out. I felt something carve my skin." She touched her head and felt the bump on her head. "I guess it was real."

Harvey was happy that she woke up. He gave her a kiss on the forehead and held her hand. "Now...tell me who hit you."

Caroline started to panic again not knowing how to respond. "If I tell you who it is, what are you gonna do?" She knows that Harvey would do something cruel. She thought maybe it's best to lie to him.

Harvey's eyes started to glow purple and his hair was slowly turning white. "Oh, nothing. Maybe I'll just go and have a chat with them."

Harvey's hair is now completely white and his eyes were mow purple. Caroline has never seen him this passively angry before. She hugs him pats his back. "Harvey...please don't do anything bad."

Caroline's POV

Harvey sighs and his chest vibrated as he grumbled. "Alright...I won't."

I smile against his chest and closed my eyes. "Harvey. Why do I feel like you're hiding something else from me?"
