Please, don't leave me." She felt helpless. "Was I just a doll that you carry around? Was I a toy that you groomed and played with?" She gritted her teeth. "Was I just your little doll?" Part 6 : Pitbull Baby

ngThat's CJ Alvarez, alright. He looks more mature and I heard about his coming out. CJ is alright

CJ was the very first major crush that I had and he knew, he also had a crush on me but it wasn't really serious.

It was summer vacation and I signed up for badminton camp. He was one of the strongest players. It was all just crushing and no one was making a move. Our teammates in the camp were the ones making the moves for us like teasing, message relaying, things like that.

Looking back, it was all cute. Just two kids crushing on each other. Just that.

We drove past him while he was just sitting on their front porch, looking at his phone maybe scrolling through his feed.

"We're here." Aunt Fran said moments after we drove.

I looked out the window and it was a simple yet cute animal shelter.

"Paws and Whiskers Animal Shelter..." I said as we got out of the car. The exterior was white with browns and kind of aesthetic or antique atmosphere.

Aunt Lindsey went through the door first, then I followed, and Aunt Fran last.

I was amazed to see an animal shelter like this.

The lobby was cosy and there were cute plants that decorated the place.

A person came out from the door and we all saw who looked like the owner of the shelter.

"Oh Hello everyone. I'm Olivia, owner of this shelter." Knew it.

"Hello. Our niece is interested in adopting a dog,"

Aunt Fran pointed at me. The owner looked at me with a smile and I smiled too.

"Oh? We have puppies, senior military dogs, and special pups. This way." She held the door for us and we went into a very large room full of spacious but friendly cages full of cats, dogs, and birds.

"I think my heart's gonna melt." I look at one of the cages and saw a little border collie wagging its tail.

I think my heart melted.

The owner chuckled as she looked at me. "What do you want to find in a dog or puppy?" She asked.

I looked around and at her. This was the first time I actually looked at the owner and she isn't wearing her mask. She has a light blonde bob, green eyes, and dimples.

Damn she's gorgeous . I wish I could be pretty like her:-:

"I just need a calm one, like a companion and someone I can find comfort with."

The owner, Olivia, gave me a big smile. "I have the perfect pup for you. Follow me."

I'm excited. We actually followed her outside the shelter and into a big play pen. The outside looked like we transported into another country. The play pen was filled with healthy green grass, sspacious but I see no puppies or dogs around. What amazed me more is the gigantic and extravanagnt house behind the shelter which I assume is the owner's house.

My assumptions were true when she led us inside their house.

"Come in. Come in. Don't be shy." She led us inside their house and I was lying if this weren't a palace.

"You have a very nice home." I complemented her. "Oh...you have a beautiful painting. You painted this, ma'am?" The owner grinned .

"That's my son's painting." The painting was 16x20 canvas. A semi complete painting of the underwater ocean filled with corals and fish. At the not yet painted sign, I could make out a figure of a siren.

"Here is the puppy. He's the clamest, the most quite, and the most shy pup in the litter." Olivia was holding a pitbull puppy in her arms that has a grey and white coat with black stripe like patterns. His eyes were blue and he was looking at me shyly.

My heart immediately fell in love and unconsciously, I walked closer to her and pet the pitbull's head. "Can I take her home?" I asked the owner as politely as I can. I needed him.

"After signing some papers. Come on."

We headed back to the office of the shelter with the pitbull in my arms. Miss Olivia said that he was three months old and just began to eat wet food.

I signed some papers and Aunt Fran signed some as a guardian.

As they were busy talking about something, I went to the couch and set the puppy next to me.

"I'll call you Bruno." I said as I pet his head. I smiled as I see his tail wag.

"Mom, have you seen Pluto?" A panicked voice said as the doors open.

I looked up and see a boy staring at me.
