Savage: The Night Wizard - (A Harry Potter Fanfic)

I was an ordinary boy with a simple life... That is, until the day I died... and now I don't even know what is common in my life anymore! But in reality... I prefer it like this. Who would like to be normal if you could be a wizard? Especially if you're the greatest wizard ever! Well... I don't. ****************************************** Also help me in Patrë-on /Se7enX, there are advanced chapters for you and it motivates me to write even more. Hey! Here's the new chapter!

________________________________________________________________________________________

Today is another weekend, and I was ready to explore the last remaining spots on the school grounds.

One of the places I haven't been to was the Quidditch pitch, which wasn't very important or anything interesting, as it was just an extensive pitch with many stands. The pitch had three hoops at each end, and I think it's obvious what they're for.

Another place was the Wooden Bridge, which was also known as Covered Bridge. It was a suspension bridge that spanned a ravine, and one end was at the base of the Clock Tower courtyard and ended in a stone courtyard with several benches; the stones in the courtyard formed a sundial.

The other place I haven't explored yet... well, I haven't explored much yet, was Black Lake, or Great Lake for some. The reason I count the lake as an unexplored place, even though I spend most mornings in it, is that I've only explored the surface of it, and since it's a lake, it obviously has a lot more underwater to explore.

I could go deeper into the lake using the {Bubble-Head Charm}, but it's a very fragile spell and I prefer a more varied and safer option, like the Gillyweed Harry used in the second trial of the Tri-Wizard Tournament.

The lake, as well as the Forbidden Forest, are the two least explored places on the grounds outside the castle, and also the ones I most want to look at, as they have a lot of magical creatures.

Although much of my desire to explore these places also comes from my adventurous personality, who wants to see these dangerous places that are in nature.

And with that, I see how my powers have changed my personality, since in my other life I would prefer to be quiet at home watching a movie or playing games.

'Well... Still, I can't deny it's fun' I thought with a smile on my face.

In the center of the Black Lake is a small island, which happens to be the same one where Dumbledore's white tomb was placed after his death... Well... Obviously a tomb is made for someone only after his death... .

Moving on... And this was also where Voldemort got the Elder Wand.

One of the last places I plan to go is Hagrid's Hut, which isn't so much for exploring, and more so for me to be able to talk to Hagrid himself. He may be gigantic, scary and naive, but let's not forget that he is one of the most connoisseurs of magical creatures in the castle, even if the creatures he likes are a bit...dangerous and...weird.

But that aside, that's why I'm here now, knocking on his cabin door...

*Knock! Knock!*

"Woof!" a loud bark came from inside.

"Quiet Fang, you big furball and cowardly drool," said Hagrid in his booming voice.

I then heard the lock on the door move, and after a few seconds the door opened and I could see Hagrid's hairy face.

"Hmm...Hi?" he said, confused to see a Ravenclaw first year knocking on his door.

"Hi!" I replied happily, which only confused him further, "I'm Ethan. Are you by any chance Rubeus Hagrid, the Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts?" I asked even though I already knew the answer.

"Yes…" Hagrid answered me, looking around to see if this wasn't another prank by the twins.

Not caring about your wary look I continued to speak, "I heard you understand magical animals... Could you show me some?" I asked with eyes gleaming with anticipation.

As soon as I spoke of magical creatures, Hagrid stopped looking at me warily and his face broke into a smile, his eyes gleaming excitedly with excitement.

"Oh, so you're curious about magical creatures? Why didn't you tell me before? Come on in!" he said, opening the door wider to allow me entry.

The interior of Hagrid's cabin was small, containing only one room. Leaning near the window were some dead animals and dried meat hanging. The cabin also had a fireplace, which was now heating a copper kettle with water. In one corner of the cabin was a large bed with a patchwork quilt, and on the bed was a huge coat made from the fur of some furry animal.

In front of the fireplace, basking in the heat came from the fire, was a huge Great Dane; and as soon as i saw him i ran straight to him.

Kneeling next to the dog, I began stroking the back of his ear and his stomach, not a lick of fear.

Fang, who was being petted, leaned further into my touch, tongue out and tail wagging in satisfaction.

"Who's the big, nice, fluffy dog? That's right... You are!" I cooed as I laid my head on Fang's body.

"Hah, apparently you've met Fang. A big dog, but still a softie" Hagrid chuckled loudly, looking at me happily, "And he looks like he likes you."

"Heh, I usually get along with animals," I said, giving Fang one last pat on the head and lifting myself off the ground.

"I've already introduced myself...But I think I should give a more formal introduction," I said, stopping in front of the half-giant, "I'm Ethan Night, but I prefer my friends to call me Ethan. I'm from Ravenclaw, a first year and a muggleborn, and I came here because I'd like you to introduce me to some magical creatures" I ended my introduction by extending my hand to Hagrid.

Looking at my outstretched hand, Hagrid was a little surprised. But he quickly recovered, and then he let a smile break across his face and took my hand in his, which was almost five times size of mine.

"And I am Rubeus Hagrid, as you already knew. Gamekeeper of Hogwarts and also a great connoisseur of magical creatures," he then introduced himself, giving my hand a slight shake.

"Sooo... What about magical creatures?" I said, not hiding my anticipation at all.

"Hahah... If you want to know about magical creatures, then you've come to the right place!" Hagrid exclaimed happily. He then grabbed his coat from his bed, pulled a crossbow from the top of a closet, and put a belt with some tools around his waist.

"Come on Fang! Get up" he said to the big dog. Hagrid then turned to me and said, "We're going to Professor Kettlerburn's enclosure, he teaches Care of Magical Creatures, a third year elective class"

He then brought us out of the hut and began to lead us to what I believe to be the enclosure.

"This enclosure contains many kinds of magical creatures...but most of them aren't that fun or cool," he said sadly, but knowing his taste for dangerous creatures, I could only guess that what wasn't cool for him, yet could be deadly to me.

"What kinds of animals are there?" I asked curious.

"Hah, you'll see..." he answered me cryptically, and I could feel my right eye twitching.

'Damn it! Now I know how boys feel when I do this'

End.

(End AN: For those who didn't like the castle's internal exploration, don't worry, as the exploration of the lands will be shorter and with less information dump.

And here we also see our dear Ethan interacting with everyone's favorite half giant.

What will be the first magical creature that Ethan will encounter in the forbidden forest? Perhaps a green fire-breathing three-legged platypus? Or maybe Perry the Platypus?

I hope you like this chapter!)
