Yeah! Here's the new chapter!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I wanted to know who did this" Andromeda said, still shocked as she looked at the lake.

"Seriously? You still have doubts about who did this?" Sirius asked, looking at his cousin with a look that said 'Really?'.

And Andromeda realized that it really was stupid to question who did this, since she only knew one person who was in that lake who could do something like that.

And looking away she cleared her throat.

"Well, in that case I wanted to know what made him do something like that" she rephrased her sentence, gesturing to the corpses of the Grindylows floating in the lake.

"I wanted to know too," Remus muttered, rubbing his chin, 'I'm not surprised he was attacked by some Grindylows since he was in their house, but there were a lot of them in that whirlpool... It was almost as if all the Grindylows in the lake were there.'

And it wasn't just Remus and Andromeda who were curious to know what was happening inside the lake, and what I was doing.

In fact, everyone in the group and the other people in the stands were theorizing what was happening at the bottom of the lake.

"Well, if you had created a spell or some magical item to show us the inside of the lake we would know what is going on down there" my mom commented, causing the wizards and witches who accompanied her to look at her with blank expressions.

''''Really? This again?'''' they thought.

However, my mom was no longer paying attention to them, as she returned to staring at the black lake.

And just like everyone else, she was curious about what was happening there, but there was also a worried and nervous look on her face.

'What's happening to my son in that lake?' she asked.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

-Back to the lake-

Even after finishing my spell I continued to hold Fleur tightly against me, with her also holding me, as the waters around us were still a little turbulent.

And as I waited for the lake to calm down I used my senses to sense my surroundings, noticing that there were no longer any Grindylows around, as most of them were wiped out by the maelstrom while the rest managed to escape.

'The spell worked' I thought with satisfaction.

And after a few seconds the waters calmed down, allowing us to see the environment around us.

And seeing the result of my spell that could only be described as destructive even I was surprised.

"Fuck" I muttered, with Fleur who started to slowly release me nodding in shock.

Everything around us within a radius of at least 30 meters was completely destroyed, leaving the place almost unrecognizable.

Algae, plants and roots were pulled from the ground. Sand, dirt and stones were scattered all over the place. And of course, I couldn't forget to mention the dead bodies of the Grindylows, who were either buried beneath it all or were slowly sinking around us.

And to make the scene even more terrifying, the water was still stained with the dark, viscous blood of these creatures.

...

...

...

...

"Well, I guess the Grindylows won't come back to bother us again" I said with a small playful smile, breaking the silence.

"Yes" Fleur nodded, without taking her eyes off the scene in front of us, 'One person alone did all this...' she thought, not knowing whether to feel amazed or scared.

She then looked at me, seeing that I looked completely calm, as if I hadn't just caused a calamity that nearly wiped out an entire race of creatures living in the lake.

'Sigh... This must be the most unfair Tri-Wizard tournament that has ever existed' Fleur thought, but she wasn't discouraged at all.

She then realized that she was losing focus, remembering that we still had something to do, and shaking her head she snapped out of her thoughts.

"Time is running out, we need to go rescue our hostages quickly" she said.

"You're right" I nodded, feeling that Harry had already reached the hostages with Krum approaching as well.

"Well then where should we go?" Fleur asked me, looking around without knowing the right direction.

"Just follow me" I said to her, and she nodded.

And with that we both started swimming towards the Merpeople village, using magic to propel us forward to get there faster.

And with our swimming speed it wasn't long before we saw a large rock with a painting of a group of Merpeople with spears, and beyond that rock was the village where the colony of Black Lake Merpeople lived.

And knowing that we reached our goal we continued swimming, entering the village.

Looking around, the village looked like an ancient Greek city, with pillars and houses made of stone and marble, decorated with seaweed, shells and pearls.

And this village was not empty, as swimming around the place or standing in the gardens of their houses were several Selkies, the Scottish race of Merpeople who lived in the lake, who looked at me and Fleur with curiosity and interest while whispering among themselves.

"Aren't they a little different from normal humans?" one of them asked his companions, who nodded.

"Hey, look at their hands and feet, they look like ours!" a female Selkie exclaimed in a low voice, quite surprised.

"Don't you feel a strange feeling coming from them? Especially the one that looks like a male?" a Selkie who looked quite old asked, and this made all the Merpeople who were near him focus their gazes on me.

"Hmm... true" one of them agreed.

"Now that you mention it, he gives me a feeling of familiarity" another said.

And I listened to everything they said, and I wasn't surprised that they felt something strange about Fleur and me.

Fleur, as she had already told me, had a bit of a feud with aquatic creatures, so the Merpeople must have sensed her Veela heritage, and fortunately, unlike the Grindylows, they did not show hostility.

And as for me, it was obvious that what they felt was my Beast Power, and even though I was tempted to stop and talk to them or try to create a connection I knew I had a task to finish.

And while the aquatic beings continued talking about Fleur and I, the two of us finally arrived at the center of the village, where there was a square with a large statue of a Merperson.

And in front of this statue, tied by the feet with thick ropes, were the four hostages in a deep sleep.

And next to the hostages looking at us was a Selkie with a spear and Harry, who seemed to be waiting for us.

"You're finally here" he said with relief.

And I smiled at him, because I knew he was waiting all this time because he was worried about us and our hostages, even though I knew that the Gillyweed he ate had a time limit before the transformation ended.

"Well, we ran into some annoying obstacles, which is why it took us so long." I said.

"Annoying obstacles?" Harry looked at me with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes, but it wasn't a big deal and we already dealt with them" I shrugged nonchalantly.

And I ignored the look Fleur was giving me.

'You almost destroyed part of the black lake and still say it wasn't a big deal?' she thought, and the worst part was that she didn't know if I was joking or not.

"But well, enough talking, we have a task to complete" I said, breaking the Veela out of her thoughts.

"True," Harry nodded, before turning to the hostages.

He then began to approach Hermione, and just as he was about to release her from the ropes that held her a man with a shark head swam past him quickly.

This shark-man who was Krum then went towards one of the hostages, who was a girl in a Durmstrang school uniform, before tearing the ropes with his sharp teeth.

And without even looking at us, Krum turned around and continued swimming, dragging his hostage with him as he returned to the lakeshore to complete the task.

"Well, I guess it's a race now" I said, smiling at my two champion friends.

And without waiting for them to say anything, I cast a cutting spell on the rope that held Luna, going to her and holding her before she sank.

And with Luna in my arms I nodded to Harry and Fleur, before turning around and starting to swim quickly towards the dock.

And when they saw me swimming away from them quickly, the French Veela and the Boy-Who-Lived blinked, before looking at each other, and as if a switch had been turned on, the two quickly turned around and also began to free their hostages.

And I, who continued swimming towards the shore of the black lake, didn't even need to look back to know that the two were following me.

And with my senses I could feel that Krum was just a few meters in front of me.

'Unfortunately for all of you now that the task has become a race you don't stand a chance against me'

And then I focused my magic on my feet and held Luna tightly against me, before shooting forward like a torpedo.

It didn't take long for me to catch up with Krum, and before he could even understand what was happening I once again used magic to propel myself forward, which caused a small shock wave that threw the Bulgarian champion back.

'Oops' I thought, smiling mischievously.

And this could be considered my way of helping Harry and Fleur and making the race fairer.

And Krum, who was still a little dizzy, could only stare at my back as I swam away from him, with an expression of surprise, indignation and anger on his face.

However, I didn't know that I had just angered the school champion of Durmstrang, and even if I had known I wouldn't have cared.

'It's time to finish this task' I thought, feeling that the lakeshore was getting closer and closer.

End.
