--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Holding Luna's hand, I took her to the free area in the middle of the Great Hall that would serve as the dance floor for this night, and shortly after the other champions and their dates joined us.

And now that the eight of us were on the dance floor, the Headmaster waved his wand again, blowing out some candles and making the Great Hall dimly lit, and the only light in the place was focused mainly on us.

Then I turned to Luna and we prepared for the dance, with me holding one of her hands while placing the other hand on her waist, and Luna rested her free hand on my shoulder.

"Just like in dance classes" I said to Luna with a small smile.

"Yes, just with a bigger audience" she smiled back, not at all nervous about having so many eyes on us.

"That's true" I nodded, "But it just means there will be more people to watch and enjoy our incredible dance."

And upon hearing this, an excited sparkle appeared in Luna's eyes, making me snort in amusement.

And in the time of our short interaction, the eight members of the band Weird Sisters, who ironically were all men despite their name, finished organizing themselves, and as soon as everything was ready they began their performance.

They were playing a light, modern waltz, and following the rhythm of this song I began to guide Luna around the dance floor, dancing gently with her.

The other champions and their dates were also dancing, but I wasn't paying much attention to them as I was focused on my date, having fun while spinning her around.

"You know, for some reason I feel like you're enjoying this dance" I joked, looking at Luna's big happy smile.

"Really?" She tilted her head, not understanding the irony in my sentence.

"Sigh, never change Luna. Never change" I said with an affectionate look.

And while we played and danced, the other students and teachers watched us, but there was a certain teacher who was more emotional than the others as she watched us.

'They look so beautiful' Professor McGonagall thought, wiping away a tear that threatened to fall from her eye as she looked at Luna and me.

"Minerva, are you crying?" Professor Sprout asked her friend in surprise.

"No" Professor McGonagall quickly denied, looking away, "I'm just picking a speck out of my eye" she said.

And upon hearing this answer, Professor Sprout nodded, believing her, mainly because she couldn't imagine her long-time friend, who was always stern and serious, crying because of a dance.

However, Professor Flitwick who was by her side just looked at the Transfiguration teacher with narrowed eyes, easily seeing through her lie.

But without knowing the thoughts of the little Charms teacher, Professor McGonagall looked back at her favorite student's dance.

And she felt pride fill her chest when she saw that among all four boys I was the one who danced best.

And in fact the only people who were dancing better than me were Luna and Fleur, which was no surprise since they were taught to dance since they were children.

And looking at me, Professor McGonagall smiled softly, before looking at Penny who was standing in front of the main table looking at me with a huge smile on her face.

And feeling a look on her Penny turned to Professor McGonagall, and they could see the same proud and affectionate look on each other's faces.

And then the two ladies who were masters of their craft nodded to each other, showing a kind of mutual respect without saying a single word.

'What is happening?' Nick who saw this interaction wondered, sweating slightly.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After the champions opening dance ended all the other students and even some teachers joined us on the dance floor to enjoy the ball and the Weird Sisters concert.

Luna and I continued to dance for a while, but after a few minutes we decided to rest for a bit.

The two of us then went to the table where our friends were sitting chatting excitedly.

And as I approached them I raised an eyebrow while looking strangely at Lisa, who was without her shoes, rubbing her feet with a pained expression.

And as soon as she saw me approaching she looked at me with hopeful eyes.

"Ethan, please tell me you have any healing potions with you" Lisa said, almost begging, and I blinked in confusion.

"Huh? Why do you want a healing potion?" I asked.

"Because my feet are killing me with pain. I can't even walk," she replied, making a face.

"Oh, you're exaggerating" Anthony, who was Lisa's date, snorted, crossing his arms.

"I am?!" She looked at him indignantly, "You stepped on my feet at least 20 times, and that was just in the first song!" she said, glaring at Anthony fiercely.

And the blonde boy flinched under her gaze, "Err... it... it wasn't that bad" he tried to defend himself.

"Anthony" Sue called him slowly, and turning around he saw her looking at him with a blank expression, "You managed to step on MY feet while still dancing with Lisa... twice"

And at this moment our naive friend lowered his head, a little embarrassed.

"Hmm, I thought as a pureblood you would know how to dance," I said, looking at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, my grandmother already tried to teach me how to dance when I was a child, since according to her I should be prepared when I went to a ball or meeting with other wizarding families" Anthony said, but then he let out a sad sigh, "But unfortunately my grandmother had an accident and hurt her feet, so she couldn't teach me anymore."

He then looked up thoughtfully, "And the accident must have been really bad, since no potion or healer could heal her feet."

"For some reason I feel like I know the accident that hurt your grandmother's feet," Terry said dryly as he looked at Anthony.

"Oh really?" Anthony asked in surprise, but the only thing he received in response was a blank stare.

"You know, I still maintain my opinion that Sorting Hat put Anthony in the wrong house" Michael said.

"What do you mean by that?" Anthony turned to him with a frown.

"I meant that if you are an example of what a Ravenclaw should be, then the house of ravens is lost." Michael replied, before letting a mocking smile appear on his face, "You badger"

And upon hearing this, Anthony gasped indignantly.

"I agree" Terry said.

"Me too" Padma and Sue nodded.

"Yes, he would make an excellent badger," Megan, who was a Hufflepuff, said, making his indignation increase.

"Heh, 'Anthony, the badger boy' doesn't sound that bad," Stephen said, scratching his chin with a playful smile.

"Hmm, I think yellow would suit him better" Luna commented.

And seeing that even Luna was against him made Anthony despair.

'With friends like these, who needs enemies?' I thought, looking at Anthony who had a defeated look.

However, I could feel that Anthony wasn't really offended by these mockeries, and in fact he, like the others, was having fun with this exchange.

And seeing all my friends having fun made me smile.

-With the Golden Trio-

Harry and Hermione also got tired of dancing, and together with Ron and Parvati, who was his date, they decided to rest while sitting around one of the many tables in the Great Hall.

"Is he still looking at me?" Harry asked, and Ron lifted his head to look over Harry's shoulder.

And he saw Krum sitting at a table with his date looking at the back of his friend's head with an irritated frown on his face.

"Hmm, yes" Ron replied, making Harry groan in exasperation.

"Dude, what's his problem with me?" he asked aloud.

"Maybe he's annoyed because you got a higher score than him on the first task," Hermione suggested.

"But then why isn't he staring at Ethan too? He was the one who got the highest score among all of us" Harry said, with a grimace.

"Well..." Hermione started to say, before looking at Ron for help, but the red-haired boy just shrugged.

She also thought about asking Parvati for her opinion, but the Indian girl was too busy looking at everyone in the Great Hall with twinkling eyes, and Hermione knew that she was looking for some interesting scene to fertilize her gossipy mind, something her best friend, Lavender, was also doing on the other side of the Great Hall.

And with a sigh the brains of the golden trio looked back at her boyfriend, "I don't know why he's staring at you" she said.

And Harry already expected an answer like that, so he just sighed.

'It's not enough that I became a champion against my will, now it seems that one of my rivals in this stupid competition has a grudge against me' he thought, starting to feel irritated.

And seeing this, Hermione moved her chair closer to Harry's, letting their shoulders touch while holding his hand in an attempt to calm him down.

"Don't think about it too much" she said, looking at Harry, "Tonight is a special night for us to have fun and relax, so let's enjoy the ball without worrying about those annoying little details."

"Sigh, you're right" Harry said, before looking at Hermione with a small smile, "Let's just enjoy the ball" and then he looked at Ron, "The three of us"

And hearing this Ron and Hermione looked at each other with smiles on their faces.

And Parvati who had stopped staring at the others turned to the three friends, only to find them looking at each other while smiling happily.

"Huh? What did I miss?" she asked.

End.
