-DADA's Classroom-

"Well, can anyone tell me what the Unforgivable Curses are?" Moody asked us, walking to the front of his desk as his quill tapped the floor, a sound that was quickly becoming recognizable to everyone.

And showing an animation to participate in the lesson and earn some praise from Moody almost all students raised their hand, with most of them being Slytherins.

My housemates knew about the Unforgivable Curses because they studied about them, especially after hearing about the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff lesson.

And Slytherins knew about curses for a very obvious reason, and even I, who didn't consider all Slytherins to be Dark wizards, knew that they had a certain familiarity with that branch of magic.

And if even someone as sweet and cute as Lily who had her hand raised knew about curses as dark and vicious as this, it was no surprise to see Malfoy and his gang's hands up high.

"Well, you boy, tell me what you know about the Unforgivable Curses" Moody said pointing at Blaise Zabini, one of the only Slytherins besides Theo who wasn't a despicable blood purist.

Or at least he was smart enough not to show it clearly.

"The Unforgivable Curses are 3 of the worst and most powerful spells ever created, being considered so cruel and sinister to the point of being ordained in a group, where the witch or wizard would be punished rigidly by law with the greatest penalties for their use" Zabini replied , earning a satisfied nod from Moody.

"Right, you seem to know the basics about them," he said, before turning back to look at all the students, "Just like he said, the Unforgivable Curses are three spells that belong to the branch of the dark arts, and they are so inhuman and vile which are considered by many to be the worst curses in existence"

"The three curses are the Killing Curse, the Cruciatus Curse, and the Imperius Curse, and each of them can destroy lives as easily as a wild dragon unleashed on a city"

"But even if these three curses are considered the worst of all, don't think that there aren't others that could be equal or as bad as them" Moody then stopped, looking at us seriously.

"As many of you have raised your hands I can assume that you know at least the bare minimum about Unforgivables, but did you know that 50 years ago there was debate about adding a fourth curse to this group of dark spells?" he asked us, and many of the students looked at him in surprise or confusion.

"Do any of you know what that fourth curse was?" and hearing this question, the students began to look around, not knowing the answer to this question.

And while waiting for someone to raise their hand to respond, Moody leaned back against his desk as he picked up his hip flask and took a sip from it.

After a few seconds realizing that no one was going to answer Moody started to open his mouth, but before he could say anything he saw a hand go up.

"Oh, Night, right?" he asked me, who was the one with the raised hand.

"Yes," I replied, lowering my hand.

"Well then tell us Night, what was that fourth curse?"

"The fourth curse that was considered dark, vile, and dangerous enough to be debated whether it would be added to the Unforgivables was the Fiendfyre Curse," I replied, pausing to see if I should continue talking.

Seeing that Moody was still looking at me I took that as an indication that I should continue with my answer.

"The Fiendfyre is a dark spell that creates a powerful, almost sentient flame that is capable of destroying anything it touches, and only stops burning when there is nothing else in its path" I started to say, noticing that the attention of all my classmates were into me and my explanation.

"Fiendfyre's flames are not only extremely hot, they also grow and expand to an abnormally large size, and if the caster puts enough power into it, it can even take the form of gigantic creatures, which go out looking for any form of life to consume."

"There is no way to suppress this curse, either with normal or magical water, and it is extremely difficult to control, and in most cases where the curse was cast the witch or wizard who cast it ended up losing control of it and it was consumed by the curse itself"

And finishing my explanation I stopped, catching my breath, before I realized that no one was saying anything, not even Moody, and looking around I saw all my colleagues with surprised or scared looks, not entirely directed at me, but the explanation about the Fiendfyre.

'Damn it, how is this curse not considered an Unforgivable?!' Terry exclaimed in his mind, terrified just imagining a wave of gigantic flames in the shape of a creature coming towards him.

And it wasn't just him who had this question in mind, as other of my colleagues were also wondering why a spell as destructive and dangerous as this one wasn't considered an Unforgivable.

And in this tense silence that remained in the classroom, a sound of laughter ended up waking up and startling the students.

"Hah! Looks like someone here has a lot of knowledge about the dark arts" Moody said, smiling wildly at me, and I couldn't tell if it was 'Moody' or Barty Junior's smile.

'With him talking like that it even sounds like I'm studying to be the next dark lord' I thought with a frown, ignoring the look some of my classmates were giving me.

But unaware of my thoughts Moody continued, "I'm excited to see what else you know in our next class," he said to me, and I nodded, suppressing a grimace.

'Damn, I didn't want to draw his attention so soon' I thought.

Looking at me one last time Moody then turned to the class, "Night's answer is correct! The Fiendfyre Curse was the spell the ministry considered adding to the Unforgivables as the fourth curse."

"But professor, if the Fiendfyre is as dangerous as Ethan said, why isn't it an Unforgivable?" Morag asked, with a few others nodding their heads at her question.

"Yes! If even the Imperius Curse that only serves to control someone's mind is an Unforgivable, why isn't Fiendfyre, who is much more dangerous than him, one?" Davis asked, and some of the Slytherins looked at her as if she'd asked a stupid question, and Greengrass beside her shook her head as she sighed at her friend's innocence.

"Oh, so you think the Imperius Curse isn't that dangerous?" Moody asked Davis, both of his eyes impressively focusing on her.

And noticing Moody's look and hearing his tone of voice Davis realized that maybe she'd said something stupid.

"N-no...that's not what I-I meant..." Davis said, cringing in her seat at Moody's glare.

And instead of saying anything to Davis, Moody just turned around and picked up one of the jar containing a spider that was on his desk.

He then opened the jar, and without any hesitation took the large black spider inside and placed it on top of his desk, stepping back a little to give the whole class a good view of the arachnid.

The spider, as soon as it saw that it was free, quickly tried to flee, but Moody didn't give it a chance.

"{Imperio}" he said, and in front of everyone the spider suddenly stiffened before coming to a standstill.

And no one could see what happened, but with my Magic Vision that I had activated beforehand I could see a beam of magic come out of Moody's wand and hit the spider, and now I could see that Moody's magic was suppressing and controlling the spider.

I could see his magic tying itself to the spider, like strings on a puppet, and any feeling, thought, or sensation coming from the spider was obscured, and that made me a little uncomfortable.

But what bothered me the most and made my senses fully alert was the magic that came from the Imperius Curse.

Barty Junior's magic was dark and despicable, but I, who have been in the presence and even touched Voldemort's Horcruxes, did not feel the slightest discomfort with it, having already witnessed more vile magic.

However, when a witch or wizard casts a spell, their magic is potentiated, acquiring some magical characteristics of the spell itself, since the spells themselves have their own magic.

And I had just felt Barty Junior's dark magic 10 times more potent and cruel because of Unforgivable, which is already dark and dangerous in itself.

And adding it all up I couldn't help but feel a bad feeling going through me.

And right now I was feeling overwhelmed by that feeling, and I felt even worse remembering that there were two other Unforgivables worse and darker than the Imperius.

'Sigh... This is going to be a long class'

End.
