-Ministry of Magic – Atrium-

After the delivery of today's Daily Prophet the ministry atrium was a mess, with owls, letters and Howlers flying everywhere, with angry, worried or confused wizards appearing through the Floo, wanting answers to what they just read in the paper.

And in the middle of the atrium, being surrounded by various people and journalists was the Minister himself, Cornelius Fudge, who desperately wanted to find a way to escape from all these people to get back to his office, where he could think of a solution to this problem.

At this time he would normally already be in his office, but today he arrived late at the ministry because his Floo wasn't working, and he really wasn't one of the best when it came to using the Apparition, and so he had to walk to the ministry.

But as soon as he arrived at the ministry he noticed that everyone was looking at him, mumbling and whispering, yet there were some people who actually came to him to ask if what was written in the Daily Prophet was true.

He was confused at first, realizing belatedly that he strangely hadn't received his edition of the Daily Prophet for today. But deciding to put that aside he picked up a copy of the newspaper that was on the reception desk and found out why everyone looked at him like that.

And before he could go to his office the confusion started, with the journalists appearing first, followed quickly by the owls with letters and howlers.

'Damn it, where is Dolores?' he asked himself, knowing that if there was anyone who could remedy the situation it would be his undersecretary.

"Minister, is it true that Sirius Black never had a trial?" one of the journalists asked, with a quill and parchment in hand.

"Mr. Minister, how do you feel knowing that a possibly innocent man spent years in Azkaban?" another journalist asked.

"Should Sirius Black's illegal arrest have other people worried, as we don't know if the same could happen to us?" and this question was asked by a bespectacled blonde woman wearing green leather clothes, who looked friendly at the minister while holding a notepad and a strange quill.

And this woman was obviously Britain's most dishonest and venomous journalist, Rita Skeeter.

Realizing who he was dealing with, the Minister broke into a sweat, wishing Umbridge or Lucius, his loyal supporter, were there to help him.

If anyone had looked at the Fountain of Magical Brethren that stood in the middle of the atrium, they would have noticed two people, a man and a woman, who were sitting relaxed on the edge of the fountain while watching everything, enjoying the confusion that was going on around them.

Those two people were Nick and Penny, who were happy that everything was going according to their plan.

It was relatively easy for Nick and Penny to get Duperré, the French minister, to send a letter to Fudge.

In fact, the Minister was more than willing to write the letter because it was Nicolas Flamel himself who made this request to him, and he knew that if he pleased Nick, maybe he would have the support of the two super influential immortals in the next elections.

But well, the reason they asked him to send that letter was because it would put pressure on Fudge to act faster, wanting to quickly resolve the whole situation, and the more desperate he was to get it over with, the easier and more likely it would be for him to simply accept a trial.

Besides, it was all too easy for the two of them to take Lucius and Umbridge out of the picture. And sabotaging Fudge's Floo and mail was child's play for two experienced 600-year-old wizards.

"It's almost time" Nick said to Penny, who looked at her watch and nodded.

"Yes" she said, and hearing the sound of footsteps she looked back, seeing some Aurors and a familiar person walking towards the Minister, "Look, the Amelia part is about to start" Penny said excitedly, nudging her husband who rolled his eyes fun, but he still paid attention to the scene.

"Oh, thank Merlin you're here Amelia, I need you to help me sort out this whole mess" Fudge said, managing to break free of the journalists to approach Amelia.

The Journalists and the curious wizards thought of approaching them to question them, but the serious and threatening looks they were getting from the surrounding Aurors made them rethink that.

Hearing Fudge's request, Amelia had to resist the urge to smirk.

"Well, I think I can help you minister," she said, and Fudge looked at her hopefully.

"Really? This is great!" he said, and Amelia nodded.

"Yes, as we managed to capture the traitor of the Potters" Amelia said, shocking everyone in the atrium who heard her.

"What?!" Fudge exclaimed, "Did you catch him?! Where is he?!" he asked.

And hearing his question Amelia just turned and waved at two Aurors who were behind the group, who charged forward, with the other Aurors moving out of their way.

And as they reached Amelia's side, everyone could see that they were carrying a short, pudgy, rat-faced man who was missing a finger of his hand.

"Here is the real traitor, minister. Peter Pettigrew, alive and well... I mean, not exactly," Amelia said, gesturing to Pettigrew.

And when she finished speaking, everyone, including the journalists and Fudge, stopped what they were doing and looked at Pettigrew in shock.

"WHAT THE FUCK?!"

-Hogwarts – Outside, near the Forbidden Forest-

After the breakfast mess the Headmaster allowed the students to skip the first class of the morning, but I was sure he only did that for Harry's sake, not that it wasn't a good thing.

But after things calmed down, classes started again, and now it was time for the second class in the morning.

And right now all the students who chose the Care of Magical Creatures elective were waiting for Hagrid in the magical creatures enclosure that the Headmaster, Professor Lupin, and Hagrid had built over Christmas for his classes.

"And just when I thought this school couldn't get any worse in quality, they go and let that giant ball of beard be a teacher" Malfoy complained to his Slytherin friends, who laughed in amusement at the offensive nickname.

Well, Parkinson, Goyle and Crabbe laughed, of the other Slytherins present only Millicent showed any amusement with a slight snort.

But well, you might be wondering why Malfoy is present at this class, and not stuck somewhere or in the hospital wing thanks to an unfortunate 'accident'.

In fact after our last interaction where I realized that Malfoy feared me I felt very guilty, and decided I wasn't going to pull any more pranks on him unless he did something to deserve it.

And then there was the fact that now that I knew he feared me, I would only need to remind him of my presence so he wouldn't cause trouble in Hagrid's class.

And while all the students were talking, wondering which creature Hagrid would introduce us to, the kind and cheerful half-giant arrived, carrying a large wooden box.

"Well, here they are!" Hagrid said, opening the box and showing that inside were several sealed glass jars, "In this class you will learn about Splingslugs!"

He then took the jars and started giving one to each student, and while he finished distributing them I looked amused at the small, slimy creature inside my jar.

"What kind of creature is this?" Terry asked with a disgusted face as he looked at the splingslug inside his jar, and if I didn't like animals I'd be making the same face as him too.

"Oh, I'm glad you asked" Hagrid said happily after distributing all the jars.

He then came to Terry's front, taking the jar from his hand and opening it, "Splingslugs are a type of magical slug that has a healing slime, which is often used in potions to treat burns."

Hagrid then took the splingslug that was inside the jar, showing it to everyone before placing it in Terry's hand, who looked between the creature and Hagrid with a mortified look of disgust.

Nodding in satisfaction, Hagrid walked back to where the box was, not noticing Terry's gaze, who started to shake his hand to get rid of the splingslug as soon as Hagrid turned away, only to realize that the creature had stuck to his palm.

"And today I'm going to teach you all about the best ways to collect the slime from this cute little creature" Hagrid said to all of us, smiling friendly.

''''''Cute?!'''''' was the bewildered thought of almost every student.

-Some time later – End of Class-

Finishing helping Hagrid put the last few splingslugs back in the jar, I started to make my way to the castle.

I was walking calmly, but halfway there I heard the sound of wings approaching me, and turning and looking up I saw Hermes, who was carrying a letter in his claws.

I stopped, waiting for Hermes to arrive, and when he was close to me I held out my arm for him to land.

As soon as he landed on my arm I gave him a little petting under his wing, which is where he liked to be petted, before picking up the letter.

Hermes then jumped onto my shoulder, allowing me to open and read the letter.

The letter was sent by my mom and was short, but after reading its contents I couldn't help but get excited.

"Hmm, I think I'm going to have to pay a little visit to my family today," I mumbled, smiling slightly after I finished reading the letter.

In the letter my mother had let me know that Amelia wanted a meeting with all of us today, and I already had an idea of what she wanted to talk to us about.

End.
