Leave her alone
The taxi can only drop her at the hillside at the villa gate since the compound is luxurious, and no commercial vehicle is allowed unless informed; she did not have a choice but to walk up to the villa. It was acceptable the other day, but some neighbor has complained about seeing a yellow taxi driven by the gated community-complaint it as an eye sore.
She saw there was a blood-stained on her blue shirt, and she needed to cover it before she arrived, or the wicked witches of the west will throw a thousand questions.
Arianna saw Remi walking inside the compound and couldn't refrain from being nosy to ask her why Roman Knights wanted her to work for him.
"Not now, Arianna!!" Remy shoves her aside since she is not in the mood to quarrel after almost being kidnapped and potential murder by a hooligan.
Walking passed by everyone, she saw Luke, that was pacing back and forth near the staircase with a phone in his hand.
He was startled when he saw Remi and quickly calmed himself to talk to her.
"Are you okay?" he asked her.
"Why wouldn't I? Is there anything that happened that makes me shouldn't be okay?" she retorts while pressing the small nick on her waist—gauging for an answer.
Luke caught her movement and realized he had asked her the wrong questions.
"Arianna mentioned Roman Knights' assistant was here looking for you; I was worried."
He hesitated for a bit before continuing
"stay away from them, Clarissa."
"Too late; I will be working for him now" She excused herself to go. She knew he knew more than she had predicted. She needed to find a way to have him talk. As of now, working with the Knights probably is safer for her.
Everyone will notice if she has gone missing, and Roman will be involved, she knows well, criminal or not; no one dared to cross the Knights.
She rushed to her room and saw Ilya had fallen asleep next to Cocoa butter; waking the boy up, she ushered him to go back to his quarters.
"Thank you Ilya."
Shutting every curtain in her room and making sure no one was snooping, she turned the hot water and showered to clean the blood-stained off her. The hot water touching the wound made her wince, and her tears poured like a waterfall. Just because she is used to the pain, it doesn't mean it is painful any less. The knife poked her flesh deeper than she thought it was.
With just an alcohol rub and a bandage, she is hoping the wound is not going to get infected. That's all she is praying for now.
Paranoia hits her as she is about to call Baldie. Changing her mind, she will keep communications light before moving to her new place. She needed to move as soon as Conrad and Felicia returned. Luke is too suspicious, and she cannot be in the same place as someone who intends to harm her.

"That was a stupid move on your part!" Luke was furious with the other person on the line.
"Since when the girl knew how to protect herself? Are you sure she is not taking amnesia??. "
"I am sure if she had faked it, she wouldn't be able to keep calm when she saw me." Luke defends himself.
"For your sake, it better be true. "
"She will be working with the Knights heir Roman soon, don't do anything foolish; I know how to deal with it." Luke insists on it.
"Hmmmph! You said before she would be taken care of, but she will constantly be crossing paths with him!"
"I know what to do." He then hung up the phone, not wanting to be reminded of his failure.
A soft knock was heard outside of his door; he walked to open it and saw his mom had returned with his father.
"You have been busy lately even to come and visit your mother," uninvited, she walked inside his room and observed her surroundings. Her son has grown and prefers to keep it to himself. Unlike Arianna, that wanted to be doted on constantly.
"A lot of things happen in the company, and I wanted to make sure everything is fine before coming here and seeing dad." he placed the cell phone he used earlier in a drawer and locked it safe, keeping the secret that has become a burden for him every minute of the day.
He thought he dared to do what he was supposed to do, but that day when he heard Clarissa beg him, his heart went soft, and her attack was unplanned. He felt that the incident was his wake-up call from committing a crime so significant he knew where he would be.
"What do you want, mom?" He is exhausted even entertaining his mother right now.
"Do you notice that wretched girl change? And so does your father? he bought her a condominium last week and wanted her to move out."
"Move out?" Luke's face was ashen as soon as he heard it.
"See even you are surprised, I cant believe that old man. He has grown soft on that jinx!! Just like his mother! Useless!!" She release her frustrations in front of Luke.
"Mom, just stop harassing her already, just leave her alone".
"You sound like your father now!!" frustrated with Luke answer, Felicia left the room not wanting deal with her son.
