#3: Ang Mga Puting Mata
A pair of eyes unseal themselves, and the owner arises from the ground. He moves his eyes everywhere. "Anong… nangyari? Ang naalala ko'y inatake kami ni-!"
He turns at a certain direction and witnesses another young man laying on the ground, therefore he goes towards him and kneels beside him.
"Hindi naman siya patay," he is holding the young man's wrist, "ngunit may hinawakan siyang crystal! Ang crystal na 'yon!"
"Aba! Patay na ba 'yang mokong na 'yan?!" Kaifer shouted.
Estefro turns around and sees Kaifer marching towards him. "Ikalma mo ang nag-iinit mong dugo, Kaifer!"
Kaifer swings his hand and a force of wind strikes Estefro; pushing him away from the unconscious young man. Kaifer stops in front of the unconscious Azer, he bends his forelegs and his eyes analyzes Azer's mug.
He holds Azer's collar and begins to lift him towards his face. "Aba, magaling ka pa lang magpanggap na tulog! BAKA NAIS MONG IBATO KITA SA MAINIT NA PUTIK!"
"Tama na!" Estefro raises his hand and points it at Kaifer, "pambihira ang kanyang ipinamalas sa atin. Oo, inatake niya tayong dalawa ngunit tingin ko'y nawalan lamang siya ng kontrol sa kanyang sarili."
"Pag ba pinatay kita at sinabi kong hindi sadya, may maniniwala ba?!" Kaifer tossed Azer.
Estefro moves his eyes to Azer and looks once again to Kaifer. Estefro scowls at his comrade while walking calmly towards him then Estefro halts in front of Kaifer's eyes.
Estefro looks straight into Kaifer's eyes. "Marami na akong itinuro sa'yo ngunit ni-isa mula sa mga itinuro ko ay wala kang pinaringgan at ginawa. Sabihin mo sa akin, nais mo ba'y kapayapaan para sa ating munting nayon?"
"Oo." Kaifer narrowed his eyes at Estefro.
"Ang estranghero na ibinato mo ay maaaring maging tulay natin upang manalo sa mga digmaan, kung tuturuan natin siya ng tama," Estefro raises his hand and settle it on Kaifer's shoulder, "maari natin siyang maging kakampi at hapilya para sa ikatatagumpay ng ating nayon."
"Kapag naging masama siya," Kaifer slaps Estefro's hand from his shoulder, "kakalimutan kong naging pinsan kita."
Afterwards, Kaifer and Estefro are ambling on a moist soil pathway, a floating wind sphere is floating above Kaifer's head. Hence they reach an open large dark gate, two men steps out from it and stares at both Kaifer and Estefro.
Kaifer and Estefro halts in front of the two men. Kaifer snaps his fingers, and the wind sphere above his head descends on the ground in-between him and the older man.
"Mahuhuli na kayo sa pagppulong, mga ginoo." he bowed his head.
"Salamat sa mapait na pagpapaalala," Kaifer inhales deeply, "may dala kaming estranghero na nais naming sanayin. Buo ang aking tiwala na ang estranghero na ito ay higit pang mas makapangyarihan sa aming dalawa."
The man in front of Kaifer moves his eyes to Estefro, and Estefro nods at him. The older man bows down once again in front of Kaifer.
"Kung 'yan po ang iyong nais ay wala akong maaring iganting pagkontra, pinuno," the older man told Kaifer.
"Mabuti, pupugutan kita kung ika'y kokontra." Kaifer stepped across the older man.
The wind sphere on the ground flies once again, and it hovers on Kaifer's head whilst Estefro follows his pal.
Estefro walks faster to the side of Kaifer. "Kaya marami ang nagsasalita nang mga masasamang bagay kapag nakatalikod ka, daig mo pa yung mga matatanda rito sa nayon kung ika'y magsungit."
"Hahayaan ko lang sila sa nais nila, ngunit kapag may nilabag sila sa palatuntunan ng ating nayon maiging maghanda silang kausapin ang talim ng aking espada," Kaifer told Estefro.
Meanwhile, inside the wind sphere, Azer's eyes remain closed. Inside a dark place, his eyes open and sees a humanoid wearing white clothing; his height is tremendous and he is faceless while staring down at Azer.
"Sino ka?" Azer's eyes widens, "ikaw ba ang sinasabi nilang kamatayan?"
The colossal humanoid kneels down whilst Azer steps backward. The colossal humanoid stretches out his long, gigantic hand towards Azer, and with his index finger: he touches the young man's forehead.
During the intervening time, Kaifer moves his head backwards a bit as a hand is attempting to touch his forehead. A young woman is scowling at Kaifer while standing in front of him.
She asks, "Sino ba 'yang dinala ninyo ha, Kaifer?!"
Kaifer slaps her fingers away from his forehead. "Pakielam mo ba? Maari mo ba muna kaming iwan?"
"Tsaka, pagod kami ni Estefro mula sa paglalakbay," Kaifer walks past her, "mamaya na lamang natin ito pag-usapan kapag nagsimula na ang pagpupulong."
"Ginoo at binibini, alam naman ninyo kung paano magalit si Alkalde," Estefro chuckles, "baka mamaya niyan ay umabot na kayo sa kasalan… ayaw ko naman maging ninong ng maaga."
"SABI NANG-" Lifia, the young woman turned around.
Her eyes widened upon the large dark filthy air occuring on a large, tall structure. Hence, the structure bursts to pieces by an eruption of flames. Lifia begins to sprint onwards to the explosion while Kaifer and Estefro remain standing in their position.
The wind sphere explodes, and Azer emerges from it hence he flies upwards.
Estefro stares at Azer. "Anong gagawin niya?"
"Hindi ko alam, ngunit baka may masama siyang gawin!" Kaifer bounced from the ground.
From the location of the destructive shattering of a structure, three man wearing dark clothing are sprinting while one of them is carrying an unconscious woman on his shoulders.
"Nako! Baka mahuli tayo ng mga tagapagbantay!" one of them spoke.
"Hindi 'yan!" another one spoke.
A wind sphere hits the ground in front of them and so all of them step backward. The one carrying the unconscious girl turns around, his eyes stares upon the floating young man whose glowing white eyes are staring down at them.
"Bitawan mo ang babaeng iyan," Azer, the floating young man pointed his finger at the unconscious young woman.
"Mukhang may ibubuga ka yata," one of the the three men took a step forward.
Force of strong wind gathers around the three men; swirling so fast. Azer smiles slyly and he snaps his fingers, thence the gigantic twirling wind disappears.
The one who summoned the force of wind, raises his hand towards his mask and so he pulls it away from his face.
"Pinuno!" the other one cries out, "delikado kung makikipaglaban ka ngayon!"
"Tahimik, Veran!" the one who broke his mask told Veran, the one who cried out.
"P-Pinunong Lejil," Veran spoke.
Force of wind gathers around Lejil's figure, hence he jumped toward Azer.
Azer points his hand at the incoming foe.
Meanwhile, in front of a wrecked burned structure, Lifia halts beside a taller middle-aged man.
Lifia speaks, "Alkalde Jaral, ano po ang naganap dito?"
"Pangalawang kapitan ng dibisyon O, anong ginagawa mo rito?" Jaral stared right into her eyes.
Lifia opens her mouth yet an armored young man halts beside them.
He looks downward. "Alkalde Jaral! Ako'y humihingi ng tawad sapagka't natakot lamang po ako kaya ako ay lumisan mula sa kanyang tabi!"
He moves his eyes upwards but his face got hit by a fist, he falls down onto the ground then he coughs repeatedly.
"sayang ang pagsasanay mo sa loob ng dalawampu't limang taon," Jaral tells him, "at hindi ba sinanay kayo kahit umulan man o umaraw?
"Ang batnayan na itinanim sa inyong kaisipan ay dapat handa kayo palagi sa mga gawain na katulad nito, at 'yon ay ang isugal ang inyong buhay para sa kapayapaan?"
The young man stands up, he begins to close his hands, then he turns around and run away.
The running young man catches the attention of a tall, bulky man whose eyes are staring at him.
Jaral smiles slyly. "Aba, tingnan mo nga naman, andito ka na rin pala Jonas Isintimo, pangalawang kanang kamay ng kapitan ng dibisyon O."
"Kapitan Lifia," Jonas folds his upper body and raises it quickly, "kanina pa ako paligoy-ligoy sa bawat daanan ng nayon upang ikaw ay aking masilayan."
He tells her. "Patawad po kung ako ay nahuli."
Lifia rolls her eyes while staring at Jonas. "At palagi ka namang nahuhuli, kaya ako'y sanay na sa kaugalian mong 'yan."
Jonas' eyes widen and he jumps toward Lifia, he raises his hand and swings it toward Lifia but Lifia jumps backward.
Lifia and Jonas stare at each other's eyes not until a large group of materials strikes Jonas; he is carried by the large group of materials away from Lifia and Jaral.
"Jonas!" Lifia turns aside, "nako!"
In front of her eyes, multiple large and small wood and stones are going towards her. In a blink of an eye, a huge wall of blue flame appears in front of her; burning all the incoming materials.
Anjuwan moves his hand beside his thigh, and he smirks. "Hindi ako makapaniwala sa aking nasilayan, ngunit hanapin mo ang pinagmulan ng napakalakas na pwersa ng hangin na ating naramdaman."
Lifia bows down in front of him, and a burst of smoke emerges from her body and then she disappears along with the smoke.
Then from the sky, Veril crushes on a structure's roof. He opens his eyes and rolls aside from the crater, and Azer landed on where he stood.
"Lintek ka!" Veril arose.
Azer shifts his eyes at him and a huge force of pink flame hits his chest. The pink flames burst tremendously, and Azer emerges from it, hence he falls from the roof.
Veril turns around and witnesses Kaifer going closer to his eyes. Kaifer swings his sword and it hits Veril's chest.
Veril points his hand at Kaifer's eyes, then Kaifer swings his sword once again; cutting Veril's hand.
"Anong!" Veril jumped backward.
Kaifer lands on the roof, then he sprints onward to Veril. Behind Veril, above him, Azer can be seen floating thence he flies away from the battlefield.
Two of Veril's comrades are carrying the unconscious woman, and they are running on the streets of the village.
"Masasayang lamang ang misyon natin kapag nahuli nila tayo!" one of them cried out.
"Ai, huwag kang maingay riyan!" the other one tells Ai, "wala na tayong magagawa pa, hindi na tayo maari pang bumalik para kay pinuno!"
A wind sphere hits the ground in front of their eyes, all of them stumble on their back as the unconscious young woman is awakened.
"Anong nangyari?" she mumbled.
Azer descends right in front of their eyes. His glowing white eyes never leave them.
"Sumuko na kayo," he told them.
"Ai!" the man in front of Azer yelled.
Ai turns around and sprint towards the awakened young woman. Every beings stop moving as the falling leaves, and evolution of species has also ceased.
Azer begins to move forward to the young woman. He halts in front of her and carries her in his arms, therefore he turns around and witnesses the two men's last movement.
He turns around once again and flies toward the sky. Azer lands beside the wrecked structure, wherein, he slowly puts the young woman on the ground.
Everything begins to move once again. The young woman blinks her eyes and the presence of Azer beside her greets her eyes.
Azer then falls to his knees, and his whole body collapses on the ground as his eyes are slowly closing by themselves.
"Teka!" she told Azer.
The young woman looks everywhere while yelling at the top of her lungs. "TULUNGAN NIYO KAMI! PAKIUSAP! MAY SUGATAN DITO!"
"Anna!" Estefro looks at Anna and then to Azer, "anong nangyari sa kanya?"
"Estefro, mahabang kwento kung ating pag-uusapan dito," Anna tells Estefro, "mas maigi kung siya'y ating dadalhin muna sa bahay pagamutan, doon ko na ipapaliwanag ang lahat ng naganap sa akin."
Estefro nods at her. "Mabuti po ang iyong naiisip."
