[POV: Gabriel Gray]

"Carlisle, why does it even bother you?": I asked, annoyed.

For the past 15 minutes or so, the dumbass has been glaring at me non-stop, like some lunatic that has fallen in love.

"You are feasting on your fellow humans like a parasite! It is just wrong!": Carlisle replied, equally annoyed.

Oh Brother, we have had this argument like a zillion times, each time I eat he tries to appeal to my humanity and to convert me into what can be summarized as a human friendly Vampire.

This same discussion has been an ongoing theme for a long time between us.

"First, allow me to give notice to you that your assumption is utter and complete rubbish! My relation with humankind cannot be described as 'parasitism'!": I declared in mock hurt.

"Oh, do enlighten me about the true nature of your relationship with humanity!": he says in an equally mocking tone.

"Mine and humanities relationship might be best described as the interaction between two different organisms living in close physical association, to the advantage of either party.": I explained scientifically in a way to maximize his annoyance.

He cannot deny science because he loves it, and if my argument is supported by it, he is at an impasse, and needs to rectify his ridiculous beliefs.

"So your point is that your relationship with humanity is symbiotic? How so? All you ever do is take from them!": he asked, actually sounding curious but also a bit too direct.

"Well, I am a doctor, a landowner, work provider, food provider, and finally, did I mention that I am a damn doctor?! I literally stop them from dying out! I give them food, work, livelihood, and a direction, and all I take is a bit of their blood.": I explained.

*Sound of Facepalming*

"Are you serious right now?!": he asked.

'No, I am Gabriel! Sirius has not been written yet.': I wanted to say, but I stopped myself, and instead replied: "Did I say anything that is wrong or not a fact? Or are you implying that I may lie to myself?".

"No, everything you said makes absolute perfect sense, but it nonetheless pisses me off! You're just treating them like cattle!": Carlisle pointed out.

"My dear brother, they are cattle! You have lived for a much longer time compared to my measly one century! Let me ask you this, do they learn or are they cursed to repeat the same pattern over and over?": I asked him, seriously curious how he justifies his inaction.

I mean, let us set our positions in perspective, humans are like 'children', and we are the 'Adults', some of us have been around for millennia, and still all they do is just watch.

They all have time to research, help bring humanity to newer and greater heights but no instead they repeat the same pattern of fighting idiotic wars for supremacy and territory like some beasts.

Tobe honest, I am truly disappointed with them, not because of their nature but because of the hypocrisy of their nature, they assume themselves to be standing way above humanity.

But in the end they succumb to the same dastardly behaviour patterns as humans, instead of being productive leaders they behave like animals, sometimes even worse than animals.

"Not all of them are the same! They're ingenious, creative, colourful, and each one of them owns beauty.": Carlisle explained excitedly, and seriously I share this opinion of his.

Humans as individuals are amazing, each one is a living wonder, a story in the making. No one knowing if it is a drama, a comedy, a horror story, if there will be a happy end or a despair!

But humanity as a whole more often than not is like an illness, it is a monstrosity that feasts on life, energy, and the individual's aspirations to grow. Its only purpose being to lead the short-lived and short-sighted humans into an endless cycle of grief, stagnation, and moral ambiguity.

If humans are not cattle, then what exactly are they?

"Carlisle, you know that I am one hundred percent of the same opinion, but it is also undeniable that humanity as a whole is flawed. The individual's beauty is often overshadowed by their self-destructiveness as a whole! Their short life's makes them unable to see beyond their own singular/subjective existence, experiences and needs.": I tried reasoning, but it is pointless because unlike me Carlisle has not yet seen the future, he also is a devoted religious man.

The man is like a few centuries old, and he had less sex than I had so far, this alone shows the kind of guy he is.
