Everyone Else - Iniation Part 1.5

(POV - Luna)

Soaring through the air, Luna scanned the area infront of her and sighed. She glanced backwards and saw her sister, Argo, stalling in mid-air as flames roared out from her hands and feet.

"Using your semblance like that is just unfair, big sis…" Pouted Luna.

As she slowly dropped lower and lower, Luna sighed once more before flaring her aura.

Just as she was about to get intimately acquainted with a rather large tree, Luna twirled before slashing outwards while activating her semblance.

Suddenly, a large block of curved ice covered the tree. Then, Luna stylishly grinded along the curve, angling herself to a safer position.

She continued to summon curved ice block after curved ice block, until she landed safely on the ground, skidding a few meters as the ground beneath her feet became covered in ice.

Once she stopped sliding, Luna broke out into a dead sprint towards a nearby tree and climbed to the top in a matter of seconds.

She looked over the trees surrounding her and sniffed the air for a few seconds before looking off into the distance as she muttered, "Emerald's the only one nearby… Best get a move on."

For wolf faunus like Argo and Luna, you could truly say that they felt right at home in the forest.

Their sense of smell and sight allowed them to not only track people easier but it also allowed them to avoid the likes of grimm.

This, when combined with their tempered bodies, gave them an overwhelming advantage over the average student.

Luna, now having her goal in sight, dropped to the forest floor, her aura breaking her fall, as she broke out into a quick yet cautious sprint.

The forest around her practically became a blur as she traversed the land with ease, avoiding grimm and other students.

After a few minutes of running, Luna slowed to a jog, not even sweating, as she cautiously walked towards a small clearing.

"Hey Luna," Said a familiar voice from above Luna, "Fancy seeing you here."

A figure suddenly dropped from the trees, a playful smirk on her face as she stared into Luna's eyes, "I guess we're partners."

Luna smiled happily as her tail danced about, "I guess we are. Now we just gotta wait for Argo and Magna. By the way, you wouldn't happen to know where the ruins are, would you?"

Emerald grinned, "We're close to the ruins. I saw where it was and mapped out a route, now the only thing left is to decided whether we want to go there now or wait for Magna and Argo."

Both girls suddenly fell silent. Luna had absolutely no idea whether they should wait or not while Emerald seemed to not care either way.

After half a minute passed, Emerald sighed in annoyance as she started walking off, "Let's just go and wait for them at the temple…"

Luna perked up and ran after Emerald as she yelled, "Wait for me!~"

(POV - Ruby)

"YAHOO!!!" Screamed Ruby.

As the young reaper flew through the air, Ruby smiled as the wind brushed against her face and through her hair.

Suddenly, her eyes widened as she screamed, "NO!!! BIRDY NO!!!"

*PUFF*

"ACK!! WHY!?!"

Temporarily blinded by feathers, Ruby didn't notice the incoming tree. At the very last second before impact, Ruby gasped as she spun and activated her semblance.

Ruby became a blur surrounded in petals as she narrowly skimmed around the tree.

However, even after managing not to become a stain on a tree, Ruby kept her semblance active as she dashed through the treetops.

Jumped from tree to tree, Ruby ran forward as she mused to herself, 'Okay, Ruby. Think. First things first, I need a partner...'

'Let's see. There's Yang, Magna, Argo, Luna, Emerald and Jaune. It'd be great if I could team up with Yang, even if her puns make me want to slam my head against Crescent Rose.'

Seeing what seemed to be a Lancer nest, Ruby cautiously moved backwards before dropping to the forest floor. She didn't need a swarm of Lancers chasing her around.

As she continued to run forward, Ruby continued her musing, 'Phew… Anyway, Argo, Luna and Emerald already told me that they plan to team up with each other and track down Magna so that crosses them off the list.'

Suddenly, Ruby blushed, 'Magna… Oh man, I'd love to be his partner. Not only does he use a scythe like Crescent Rose but he's also the hero I aspire to be! He's just so awesome! And I know he can fight. I'm sure that Argo and the girls won't mind if I aim for him as well…'

'Then… there's Jaune. He seems… nice. He also looks like he'd have my back in a fight, so that's a plus. Oh, I wonder if he'll let me modify his weapon for him if we're teammates?'

As Ruby ran through more of the forest, she broke away from her mental musing as she muttered, "So it's either Yang, Magna or Jaune. Well, I just hope it's not that crabby ric-"

Before Ruby could finish her sentence, she came to a halt as she stared into the icy blue eyes across from her that seemed to want nothing to do with her.

Weiss looked at Ruby, no, GLARED at Ruby for what felt like an hour before sighing as she turned and walked away.

Ruby, having been snapped out of her shock, quickly ran after Weiss as she yelled, "Wait for me!!!"

(POV - Jaune)

Jaune sailed through the air, sword and shield in hand. He took into account the trees that he was quickly approaching, trying to devise the most cost-effective way of land.

Once he had a plan in mind, he shifted his shield to his side and took a deep breath. Channeling his aura slowly through his body, Jaune reached out his shield arm and grabbed a tree branch.

He winced, the pain from inertia coming to a sudden stop hitting him for a second before his aura worked to heal the damage.

Looking at the tree, Jaune sighed happily as he let go and made his way down, jumping from branch to branch.

Once his feet touched the ground, the blonde sighed as he muttered, "I freaking hate falling…"

After a minute, the damage done to his arm was healed and Jaune slowly started his trek across the forest.

Suddenly, a gunshot rang out as a headless baby nevermore crashed next to him. Jaune instantly leapt away as he got into his stance and glanced towards where he heard the gunshot.

Standing before him was the same redhead that burst into tears when she saw Magna, her green eyes giving him an apologetic look.

"Uh…" Said Jaune, "You're names… Pyrrha, right? I'm Jaune and I guess we're partners."

Pyrrha smiled, "Nice to meet you, partner."

(POV - Yang)

*BANG*

*BANG*

*BANG*

"WOOHOO!!!"

In the air above the forest, a bombastic blonde with a shining personality was zooming through the sky.

Yang, using the recoil from her shotgun gauntlets, flew like a bird while doing tricks and flips. It was a miracle that the aviators she was wearing didn't fall off.

As Yang zoomed towards a tree, she didn't even tree and avoid it as she gave a fierce smile before cocking her fist back.

Her aura burst to life as her hand blurred, her eyes behind glowing in a crimson light behind her glasses as she roared, "GOUSAI REPPA!!!"

In an instant, the tree exploded around her fist, shattering into thousands of tiny shards of wood.

With her punch consuming all the momentum behind her flight, Yang fell to the ground.

Once she landed, Yang pouted as she dusted her clothes off, "Oh c'mon, I still wanted to fly for a bit more."

Flexing her hands a bit, Yang's face showed off a rare gentle smile as she remembered her training. Specifically, her training with Magna.

Through the use of underhanded tactics (She kept bothering him until he broke), Yang managed to convince (coerce) Magna to teach her some martial arts.

And to their utter amazement, Yang instantly fell in love with the martial arts style that Kagamiin Kyōka used.

She worked hard for months and eventually managed to combine both her father's brawler style and Kyōka martial arts.

The result? Yang was a complete monster to fight against. Though she still tended to run into battle head first, Kyōka's style managed to help fix some of the openings she leaves while fighting.

Anyway, Yang slowly walked through the forest with her arms around the back of her head, taking in all the sights around her while softly whistling a tune.

Suddenly, a rustling sound caught her attention as she perked up. Yang jogged over to where the sound was coming from and stuck her head inside the shrubbery and said, "Ruby?"

Almost instantly, Yang recoiled backwards as she giggled, "Nope. You're definitely not Ruby."

Following behind her was a Ursa. Yang was a little disappointed that it was only an Ursa major but her disappointment quickly lessened when another two more Ursa appeared from the side.

"For me?" Mocked Yang, pressing her hands to her chest as she continued, "Oh, you shouldn't have."

Before either Ursa could react, the earth beneath Yang shattered as she plunged an aura infused fist through one of the Ursa.

Smirking, Yang ripped her fist out of the dead grimm, ignoring the black dust on her gauntlet. Using her clean hand, she pulled her aviators off and stored them inside her storage bracelet.

The two Ursa remaining, having processed what just happened, roared as they charged. They pair furiously swiped at Yang yet the blonde easily slipped in between their attacks while taunting them.

Then, when both Ursa overextended their swings, Yang moved infront of the closest Ursa and attacked.

Her fist, clad in aura, struck the Ursa's stomach as a small shockwave burst out from its body. The Ursa let out a pained roar, it's body lurching forward as Yang shifted back.

With a wide grin on her face, Yang reared her fist back before letting loose a blazing uppercut, tearing the Ursa's head clean off.

Yang took a second to watch the head fly, whistling to herself as she said, "Wow, I really must be… AHEAD of everyone else."

While she was laughing to herself about her joke, the other Ursa lunged forward, it's arms ready to lash out in a fierce blitz.

Well, it would've lunged forward but a figured leapt out from the shadows and sped towards the Ursa, beheading the grimm in stylish yet efficient manner.

Yang looked over to the figure and pouted, "I could've done that…"

The figure, a girl wearing a black and white combat clothes built for mobility and a black bow, rolled her eyes.

"I'm Yang by the way. Yang Xiao-long. Nice to meet you." Said Yang, stretching her arm out while her other arm saluted.

The girl softly shook Yang's hand as she replied, "Blake Belladonna."

(POV - Argo)

Flames roared out from Argo's arms and legs, canceling out her forward momentum and slowly lowering her to the ground.

Like how Luna learned to surround herself in her semblance with pillars of ice shooting into the sky, Argo learned how to expel flames like a flamethrower.

Sadly, it took alot of concentration from Argo and it consumed a steady stream of her aura.

By the time she reached the ground, her breathing was a little rough and her aura reserves were around half.

Wiping the sweat from her brow, Argo sniffed the air and nodded to herself when she realised that there weren't any grimm near her.

"I'm safe for the time being and there isn't anyone close by as well. Now, I just gotta wait for Magna to fly by so I could chase him down and partner up with him." Murmured Argo while she stretched her limbs.

Seeing that she had some time to kill, Argo found a large stone that was being bathed in sunlight and made herself comfortable.

The warmth from both the sun and the heated rock made her sigh in content as she patiently waited.

Though, don't let her relaxed demeanor fool you. Her heightened sense of hearing and smell were on high alert, ready to locate the first sigh of people or grimm alike.

After a few minutes, the sounds of people screaming through he air above her stopped, signifying that the last of the students should have been launched into the forest.

However, she didn't hear nor smell anything remotely similar to Magna. With her tail swishing about in agitation, Argo narrowed her eyes before taking off back towards the cliff leading to the school.

Suddenly, Argo felt a shiver up her spine as her fur bristled. She quickly dove to the side as she narrowly avoided a barrage of irradiated feathers.

Glaring ahead of her, Argo warily eyed the flock of glowing green baby Nevermores. There were at least 27 of them, way more than any known flock recorded which sat at a measly 5.

Argo's ears flattened against her head as she scowled, 'These look like those mutated grimm Magna told us about. I wonder what makes these grimm diff-'

Her eyes widened as she hastily leapt back, aura infused in her legs, as the flock darted through the air where she once stood.

A growl escaped her lips as Argo slashed her hand towards the flock, releasing a wave of fiery aura.

However, even though the flock could have dodged, they just stood there and let the fire wash over them.

"Oh yeah! Suck on that!" Roared Argo.

Just as she finished gloating, a huge gust of wind exploded from inside the flames. Once the wind died down, Argo stared on with wide eyes as she saw that the flock was practically unscathed.

What's worse was the fact that the flock looked at her with mockery in their eyes as they cawed in what seemed like laughter.

Anger rose up from inside Argo as she screamed while angrily slashing at the flock, sending wave after wave of flames at them.

But the flock merely looked at her with what seemed to be disdain as they shrugged off the flames.

They flew around Argo at blinding speeds, creating a small vacuum tunnel as they barraged her with their feathers.

And as if that wasn't enough, the feathers got sucked up into the tunnel, turning it into a storm of blades.

"AAAHHHHHH!!!" Screamed Argo, pain riddling her body as her aura whittled away.

As the storm slowed to a stop, Argo was panting while her body shook in pain. Her aura did its best to heal her and defend her but she was still injured.

However, her eyes still showed the will to fight as growled. Suddenly, her hair started glowing like sunlight as light trailed from her crimson pupils.

Flames, far hotter than before, covered her arms and legs, forming beast-like appendages over her limbs.

With large claws made from flames and flaming wolf-like legs, Argo went down on one knee before launching forward, blurring as the ground beneath her turned into slag.

A red light tore through the flock as some of the mutated baby Nevermores fell to the ground, screeching and flailing about.

Argo, who was a few meters away, shook as she fell to one knee, panting while sweat poured down her body.

'D-damn it!.. Even after using Solar, I only managed to cripple a few of them!..' Argo thought to herself, her teeth gritting together as she stumbled about.

Just as she was about to fall, the ground shook as something fell between Argo and the flock.

Argo panicked and tried to get up, only to completely calm down as a familiar and prideful voice spoke out, each word laced with intense feelings of anger.

"How DARE you!?!"

Suddenly, the sun rose for a second time.
