Ok…
Calming my nerves hearing the news while I talk to Ozpin inside the library with Koromaru inside whimpering as I adjust to the news, I have learned about this.
There was news about my friends being gone and not only that the news of Huntsman/Huntresses in training gone missing along with veterans happening all over Remnant while I stay down processing everything.
I… don't know how to feel about this…
Breathe in Jack then breathe out…
"Shhh…."
"Whew…."
Taking the time to process all of this I next try to calm my actions listening that a group with Team RWBY that they met with are already investigating the case of what's happening around here.
Calming my own nerves and emotions while sitting across from Ozpin I began to talk to him after I got all the info, I received of what was happening, "Ok… I… I think I'm good after hearing the news. And this kidnapping is happening throughout of Remnant Headmaster?"
Only nodded in agreement giving me a solemn tone in his voice reassuring me of my comrades being safe, "I know you are going through a lot right now Jack. But I can reassure you that the one responsible for capturing your team should be safe. There is no news of corpses or dead bodies but that means the captor wants people with powerful semblances alive."
Frowning at this small piece of news hearing that at least I know my teammates are alive led to another question, "If that's the case then the next question would be who would need such amount of people with powerful semblances? I highly doubt that they… wait no…"
Holding my chin thinking of this there would be no doubt a rebellion happening or a really powerful person with the captives that have powerful semblances to break them out but… what if the captors had the means to detain them no matter how powerful they were…
"Arf!"
Koro soon sat on top of my lap laying happily while I scold, my dog for sneaking around in my shadow, "As for you Koro you have been a bad doggo. You shouldn't sneak off from our private home bad Koromaru."
"Woof…"
I see Koromaru whimpering a bit at this while I scratch behind the ear while Ozpin began to talk to me about what I should do, "I see you have gained a new friend Jack. But onto important manners at hand what would you do now know this info?"
Gritting my teeth at this the hell I already know the answer.
Give the motherfucker who had the balls to take my team and those innocent people an early grave!

Seeing the quest, I froze on the spot seeing in more detail what all of this would mean and trying to figure out more about what the hell is going wrong in this Remnant.
Because the mission I was given isn't at all easy…

Description: An unknown invader has come to Remnant a long time ago hiding somewhere in the deepest parts hidden away trying to enslave all with its mental influence and spawns. This invader has been kidnapping people with powerful semblances and your friends to forcibly join under its will to amass an army. Defend Remnant from this unknown space invader…
Objective: Team up with Team RWBY, and the Trinity version of Remnant to kill or capture the true mastermind enslaving the Huntsman/Huntresses for its own ploy creating its own army ending Remnant.
Rewards: 100,000 Lien, Stat Points +30, and 1000 EXP.
Please choose the following rewards:

-Cursed Chest Box
Failure: Death of Remnant or enslavement of all of Remnant.

Shit.
Things went from having an easy fun day to saving the fucking world scenario…
And does the Justice League version of Remnant exists in this world?
Then my best guess is they should be with Team RWBY with how Ozpin mentions key names involving the Trinity that my Quest mentioning them along with the Justice League then they could refer to them.
Batman. Superman. Wonder Woman.
But if they are Remnant versions of them and judging how Ozpin called them students then that means they are at least 17 years old not prime in their adults and not mature to handle this threat.
Shit, I don't know how the plot goes for this one because it was in the comic version of this… sadly though that was a long time ago so I'm not exactly aware of what's going to happen…
"Are you alright mister Nights?"
Hearing this and calming myself down a bit I began to hear Ozpin talk to me with some concern before shrugging it off and talking to him again, "Sorry sir it's just a lot to take in. But… if Team RWBY and their friends are finding a cause then the least I can do is the same. Maybe I can find out where and what happened to my Teammates."
Ozpin nods at me with a slight smile on his face as he spoke to me in a serious tone, "I see mister Nights. Then your fellow friends took three places to leave the area. Schnee Dust Company Headquarters in Vale. Faunus Quarters. Waterfront."
Listening to Ozpin listening to the three possible locations placing a hand under my chin before speaking what I have in mind, "Hmm... I'll observe in secret for the time being. If these people are going after people with strong Semblances then there is a strong possibility that when Team RWBY and friends get their targets to come along then the possibility of them being ambushed is higher right?"
Ozpin listening to my words thought for a bit before he nods at this talking to me of the possibility being possible, "Hmm… if what you say is true then perhaps you will need to assist them when they are in trouble. A trump card when they get cornered like that if it's possible then they could be endangered."
Nodding my head in agreement I began to sit up then created two clones for Ozpin to have as backup in case things get dicey.
*Poof*

Leaving two clones Ozpin looked surprised by this as he smiles lightly at my Semblance ability and potential, "I see you managed to learn more and fuse Semblances Jack. I thank you for the extra help and this little fella to help guard Beacon."
"Arf!"
Koromaru barked in agreement while I get down patting his head and smiling at my little pup's actions, "Ok. Koro be sure to stay next to Ozpin and keep Beacon Academy safe. Bite some asses while you do it?"
"Woof! Arf!"
Barking and wagging his tail happily I began to leave Beacon Academy with Ozpin giving me the heads up of what's to come, "I pray for your safety young Nights. The fate of Remnant now depends on you and your friend's hands. And I'll be sure to keep the company of your doubles and Hunter Dog Koro in safe hands."
Hearing that I waved giving the Headmaster a thumbs up not at all scared of what was to come now I had the highest chance of being targeted as well but I can have my <Shadow Clones> at the ready to help me.
But with everything now on a higher scale and stakes at hand, I can't play the nice guy now… it's too much to be lazy now considering what I'm up against now and even then I don't know who would do this…
Glancing at my hands they are trembling again like that time with the Vale Docks…
The presence of foreboding of what's to come…

I can't just immediately assume the worst yet nor let my fear dictate my actions.
Clenching the shaking hand in fear and resolving my nerves breathing in and out trying to calm my shaking fist there are more important things to do.
I know there is a lot to do and I can't play around for the time being I need to keep things to the shadows and start by going to look around the Faunus Quarters first… if in doubt then follow the protag out.
That's where I will find the most trouble or trouble following them.
But the others could just be in danger and need help in the SDC Vale HQ and the Waterfront…

Using my <Shadow Clone> skill two more clones of me popped up we all nodded in agreement with all of us speaking what we have in mind, "When in doubt send the shadow clones out."
Like that my other clones began to take out their own Bullheads to head towards their locations while I have mine to consider which is heading towards the Faunus Quarters in Vale where Ozpin said Ruby and Bruce would be there.
Better get going to find out where to find the first lead possibly identifying who the invader is then find out how to kill it.
Hopefully, it won't be too much of an issue but considering I saw the Quest say something about the Justice League then I might assume an end-of-the-world-class scenario.
Sigh…
Why me…
At least on the upside I can at least copy the DC counterparts, and skills and add them to my own arsenal so there is that hopefully worth consideration.
Better get going I spent enough time thinking.

~Third POV~
Above Beacon Academy with Jack beginning to leave a green soul orb glances below talking to herself, "I see... even when I slumber a threat larger than the world of Remnant is not ready to face has finally come out of hiding..."
Soon the green soul glances down seeing her champion Jack leave only making her sigh at her at the scene but also happy at the same time and talking to herself, "My Apostle a new challenge awaiting you... I know you are weak my Gamer but sometimes the struggles of the weak can show what Humanity's Potential can do. Something that defies expectations."
Stopping herself soon Gaia could only give Jack her best wishes as her soul begins to flicker out as the exhaustion takes her, "I have seen it with these Gamers defying the odds and this alien God will be no different. Please, my Guardian... you cannot fail. Prove to me you can beat the odds..."
*Creak*
Gaia's soul began to crack out as she finally leaves her final words in the wind, "... even if the world is against you prove that you have the courage to stand up against the rising challenge... Show me your Gamer Path."
