Signs of Problem

With displeasure, James asked, "What do you want Edgar?" It was clear that James was definitely not happy with Edgar showing up in front of him. James felt anger in his heart grow. Trying to stay calm, James did not give Edgar time to reply as he said, "I don't really care anyway. Just make sure that you don't ruin the patrolling."

Edgar was taken aback by this as his smirking face changed as it started to darken. With an angry reply Edgar said, "That is my line, trash. Make sure that you are not in my way." With those words, Edgar angrily turned around together with his gang of knights.

Looking at them, James could barely call them knights. They looked more like glorified tugs in his eye. If it were not for their families' influences, these soldiers wouldn't be able to enter knighthood. James saw how unfair the world was. If you had influence, it did not matter if you were good or not, you would get what you want. Deep in his heart, James hated the system that he lived in. However as a knight from a weak family, he could not do much against it.

Looking at Francis, he said, "Well, we don't have much time left to prove ourselves. Even though I am not yet fully healed, I still hope that we will face a demonic hybrid attack soon. With that we might increase our renown and influence ones more. Also the rewards we get would indeed be better."

Hearing that James already ignored Edgar and his tugs, Francis also decided to do this. He nodded at James and agreed with what they have to do. With that, both knights prepared to head off to the wall, ones the rest of the patrol team arrived.

As group left for the wall, James and Francis had several encounters where Edgar and gang would not leave them alone. Yet as a commanding officer was close by, Edgar could not do much by taunting them. Moreover James and Francis decided that ignoring them would be the saver way of handling this. The only thing that James was worried about was that Edgar would deliberately search for them on top of the wall.

Arriving at the wall, the group was divided into several smaller patrol teams. Edgar had his gang with him so they already formed up a large enough groups. As for James, he was naturally teamed up with Francis and two other soldiers, making it a total of 4 men group.

Trying to avoid Edgar and his group, James decided to head to the other side to start their patrol. He hoped that he would not meet Edgar on top of the wall. Yet this was something rather unlikely to happen. With that in mind, James decided to appeal to the two other soldiers that were together with them on patrolling duty. If he would be successful, he could rival Edgar's power when they faced each other.

"To improve our teamwork, I guess that it is smart to know a bit about each other. So I am James Witterton." James walked forward as he spoke up. Pointing at Francis, he said "And he is Francis Bridges. We are both from The King's City. So what about you guys?"
