"You-y-you're one of t-them??" "One of who?" "You're a s-spy!" The fear in his face now mingled with indignation. "Don't play games with me! I k-know who you're with! I - I - I'm not scared of you!" "Look! I don't know where I am and I want to go home!" "Gurgof!!" He spat. "You have the audacity to come here after what your people did to us! To me!" His tone seethed with bitterness. "You will pay the price of their crime!" he screamed, before launching himself towards her.

Chapter 25 : Diamond Rain ('iamond rost)

Diana went to dress for the evening soiree feeling thoroughly deflated. What could they do? How would they find proof?

The excitement of Ciathai had worn off leaving lots of room for gloom. Diana dressed in a red off shoulder dress and tied a bow belt around her waist, leaving her hair in a pony tail. All that remained was a red hood and she could be setting off to the forest to meet her pointy-toothed grandma. She laughed at her reflection.

Being a friend of the royal siblings sure has its perks, Diana thought as she joined Silvanus and Aletheia in the Throne Room. Only the Vorantian government officials and their families had been invited for Terr'ane's feast but her friends had managed to wrangle her in.

The Throne Room had been decorated with hangings in the colours of the four houses and was crowned with a white crystal chandelier that spanned the length of the hall. It looked a lot like diamonds had been strewn across the velvety indigo sky.
