Throwing a party because I was called to bar isn't an easy task for the faint hearted. It was the day of the event and here I was standing in the middle of my walk-in closet sweating bullets. And as Jane our housekeeper, slowly made her way around me fitting the black partly sheer button down with a silver trimming along my arm, I felt my palm sweating and it took everything in me not to wipe it against my pants. I paused, tried to think of something

Pleasant, but a subtle pinching sensation abrupt from behind and I winced instead.

"Are you okay?" Mimi asked, concerned filling her chestnut coloured eyes. I nod. "Yes, I am okay." I sent her a reassuring smile and she gladly mirrored before she went back to fitting the suit on me.

Looking ahead at the grand full length mirror in front of me, I couldn't help but wipe the smile off my face. Finally the day I've been dreading is here and i can't halt the sun ebbing it's gradual way behind the clouds slowly being replaced by the moon.

Everything hinges on what I do tonight, and once done it can never be undone. I can't think straight, this morning I put my phone in my left pocket instead of my right like I usually do, and I panicked when I couldn't find it.

I've been attending people's call to bar parties and elite parties and yet I don't think I've every been this nervous for any of them like I am for this one maybe it's because I'm going to be the center of attraction. Every blog is going to be reporting about this event and when I officially resume my duties at the empire foundation. This has to be perfect because everything I do is perfect; I mean I am Alex Claremont Dias anything I do is never less than perfect.

"All finished with your suit, Alex." Jane said, before stepping back and giving me a once over. "You like?"

Jane was one of the few persons I felt comfortable enough to let call me by my real name, but that's because she's practically family. I honestly can't recall a time without her in my life. She's been working with my family for years, and she's always just kinda been there for me, helping me with my schoolwork when my parents were too busy, fixing me dinner whenever they were out of town, and even consulting and listening to my own personal problems whenever I needed to talk. She even went out of her way to teach me French, her native language. It's a good tool to use when we need to talk about something privately in front of my parents.

I'm forever indebted to her and her services.

I wiggled around in the suit as I stepped forward, my full figure coming into view of the mirror, the black suit with silver trimming fitted me well. The silver buttons and white cuffing giving it great detailing, and for the first time today, I genuinely smiled. I turned around to Jane and said, "I love it. Thank you so much."

Jane clapped hands together in a joyous manner, before she soon started to gather her belongings. I was to busy staring at my own reflection in the mirror that I hadn't notice the door of my fitting room fly open.

"Wassup dickhead" Harry's loud voice filled the room, jane and I both turned to him earth a gawked expression.

"Garçon fou," crazy boy, Jane pointed her wrinkly finger at him with a scowl on her face. I tucked my lips to keep myself from laughing loud. "That's no way to greet someone."

Although jane was French she didn't have the typical French accent where sentences sounded monotonous and more often than than not the pronunciation of some words ends up being wrapped. Her foreign accent was a pleasure to listen to, thanks to her speech patterns and rhythms of her delivery. I would say that she did not always stress some words enough, but she was dedicate to making her speech sound better all the time that you couldn't help but forgiving her for that little shortcoming.

"Sorry" Harry threw his hands up in surrender before bowing down in a ninety-degree-angle with his hands over his heart in a playful manner. "What is up, your royal dickhead?" He spoke looking up at me, only to be caught off guard when Jane hit him upside the head with some fabric.

Harry let out a yelp and I bursted out into laughter. Jane shook her head at him as she made her way out of the room.

"She still hates me after all these years" he laughed, rubbing his head.

I shrugged my shoulders letting out a low chuckle. "As she should."

Harry rolled his eyes taking a seat on the vibrant leather chair not too far from where I stood. "Well sorry if that's how I want to greet my best friend."

"You know Jane isn't from here. She isn't used to way Americans do things." I reminded.

"She needs to get with the times. It's the twenty-first century you old bat, no one talks like it's the eighteen-hundreds anymore." Grey has a tendency to talk louder than necessary and I had to send him a knowing look to let him know that.

"Watch your tongue, alright? Jane has been with me since I was an infant. She's practically family. Besides, couldn't you learn to have manners every once in a while."

Harry waved me off before sinking deeper into chair letting his long limbs stretch across the floor. "Anyways, your dad told me to tell you to come see him in his office."

I blinked, my brows furrowing into a confused look. "He's still here? I thought he already left?"

"The man just told me to tell you to come see him in his office. I did my job." Harry's hand went up in a defense manner, and I couldn't help but roll my eyes at him
