Interrogation

Sensing how he was staring at her body again, Su Xin Yu felt a bit shy. But she had to uphold her image. She cleared her throat and flapped the corner of her gown, "Don't think much of it. How did I get out?"

Oh, so now she was going to take the report? But then, she was the boss of the dungeons to begin with, it was her right to know. "Just before fainting, you had told me to keep following the tunnel and I would come out. So, I took you with me…" Li Ming Hao scratched his head in a silly manner. Wasn't this guy supposed to be the cold almighty son of the Dean? What was he acting so familiar and cute for? Su Xin Yu could really not figure this guy out. Was he the arrogant type or the cheerful type?

"I mean how did you close the door?" She was looking for the whole story. Whole story!!! Was this guy dumb or what?

"Oh! I had found the lever right in the ground. There was a loose tile and a lever to close it." Li Ming Hao answered her question again. He felt like he was undergoing an interrogation right now.

"I see. Good job finding it." She had not thought that her ancestors would do something like this, nor had she encountered it before. Her previous people always managed to surprise her. And this guy more so, it was his first adventure like this 'apparently' and he found the key to that door. Beginner's luck?

"But what about your wounds? Why would Dr. Long not do the dressing up herself?" he asked her, an anger very apparent in his voice once again.

"Umm… she might be busy. I mean it's not really much to be honest," Su Xin Yu shrugged it off easily. It was not like she had anything personal to do with Dr. Long. She was not only handling the clinic, she was also taking a few safety classes here, including training the students in CPR etc.

"Busy? What would she be busy with? I don't see any other students? Let me talk to her," he stormed out of the room in a rage.

Su Xin Yu sensed the unsteady emotions in the guy, he was really upset. When he had first asked her the same question, she had not thought much about how incensed he had reacted. But why was he getting angry over Dr. Long's treatment towards her?

She chased after him, "Wait young master Li! I said it's not her fault!"

He was going to fire her most probably! She cost her her job, damnit. She should have chosen her words more carefully.

Li Ming Hao didn't stop and barged into Dr. Long's room.

"Dr. Long!" he glared at her angrily.

"Young master Li! It's been so long, I thought you would come meet me first. I had no idea you had already…," Dr. Long was very excited seeing Li Ming Hao. It had been two years since he left for his college studies abroad. Before that, they used to have fun at his place. He was quite a playboy but he made sure he would have relationship with only one girl at a time. Her relationship with him lasted the longest. Thus, she had always thought that she had a special place in his heart. There was a difference of almost five years between them, but he was the one who could make her feel like a young maiden, every single time.

Thwack! A few glass bottles and a stethoscope were seen falling on the floor, martyred due to someone's fit..

"Young master…" Dr. Long trembled, clutching her heart, she was really startled. This was a bit extreme, even for himself. He could not raise his hand on a girl, so he chose to display his fury like this. Who was this guy? Was he really her young master Li?

"When I had brought her in here, did it not mean that she is my guest? How dare you neglect your duties, especially towards a person I personally brought in for treatment? Do we pay you for this kind of work ethics?" he crossed his arms and spoke calmly and steadily. It would have been better if he had yelled at her. But now, he was plain scary.

"I… I am sorry young master, I thought you just stumbled upon her." Dr. Long had never seen him like this. All her precious memories with the guy in front of her broke one frame at a time.

"And so? It doesn't matter how you treat her?" The girl had saved his life twice! How could he let any other person treat his savior like this? He was so infuriated about it. And when he felt resentment towards someone like this, scarier he became. This Dr. Long let him down, really did.

"Young master Li! Wait up! I was the one who didn't want to get…" Su Xin Yu tried catching up with him as fast as possible, even forgetting her own wounds. She was limping for some reason, perhaps she had been in bed for too long. When she entered the office though, she was speechless.

"…"

"Listen Li Ming Hao, this is no way to treat your employee. Did you even ask her what was wrong? She might have had bad morning or something. She's very diligent and I can vouch for her," Su Xin Yu facepalmed. This guy was not a kid, what was up with his attitude? Did he have some anger management issues or something?

He turned his head around, his brows furrowed on interruption. She saw a killing intent in his eyes. He would have really killed her!

"Just because she's saying so," he turned around and left.

"Don't think just because you saved me I'll let you go. That guy is mine, don't eye him, do you understand?" Dr. long clenched her hands while still trembling.

So it was about this? She rolled her eyes again. Weren't people misunderstanding too much, what did he do that people were accusing her for no rhyme or reason?

"I never saved you for yourself, I just felt bad that you would be in trouble because of me," Su Xin Yu said coldly. As friendly as she was to her, they had a professional working relationship. It didn't mean that this doctor could say anything to her just because she was an elder. She did not command any respect if she could not respect her.

"Hmph! Cocky bitch!" Dr. Long murmured under her breath.

Thwack! This time it was Su Xin Yu. She threw away the remaining medicine bottles on her table.

"I've been quite tolerant since the morning. If you don't want to cooperate, I can call him back," she pointed to the retreating figure of Li Ming Hao and warned the doctor. Once she was satisfied that the doctor got her message, she left the room.
