Chapter 2 Misterious Voice

The strong wind howled against his face and body. After the radiance that dazzled his eyes disappeared and after opening his eyes, he saw a stretch of field and green grass growing in front of his eyes. Arnold looked around and everyone who was in the park was now there as well. Many of them looked panicked, including Jonah, Landus, Elina, and Sarah.

Arnold's heart was pounding, but somehow when he set foot in that strange place he felt an extraordinary peace. He felt that all the burdens he had on earth had been lifted completely. He felt as if he had been to that place before.

"I feel like I've been here before. But when?"

Arnold heard screams starting to buzz around him. However, he was still drowning in his own daydreams.

"Where are we now? Why are we here?" said one student who really looked panicked and broke Arnold's thoughts.

But no one could answer the question, "Hey you guys try to calm down first. Is anyone hurt?" Landus tried to calm everyone in the field.

They were all stunned by the meadow. Although there were rarely any trees near them, they didn't even feel the heat of the sun shining on them. However, the problem now was a sense of panic due to something sudden and inexplicable by common sense with all of them.

Vayne who has a sharp intuition suddenly approached Arnold, He said a few sentences that shocked everyone in the field, "Arnold, did you just see the light that came out of your book?. Do you know anything about what's going on here, Arnold?!"

Landus tried to calm Vayne "Hey don't be like this, take your hand off the collar, Arnold. If you do this kind of thing, everyone will panic even more"

Vayne complied with Landus' request. He removed his hand from Arnold's collar. But everyone was already getting flustered by Vayne's treatment of Arnold and prepared to wait for his answer.

"I'm sorry Vayne, but I also really don't know what happened," said Arnold with a body that began to weaken from hearing Vayne's threat just now and dozens of eyes that looked into his eyes with fear and anger.

He didn't know what to do either. He did feel guilty about what had happened to all of them. However, they also realized that Arnold was no longer carrying the book.

The book had disappeared from Arnold's grasp. In fact, since he felt the howl of the wind blowing through his face, it seemed that he was not holding the book anymore. However, some people are still hunting for an answer from Arnold. They trust Vayne more and think that Arnold is the root of the problem that made them enter this strange place.

Some people who still didn't accept tried to attack Arnold. But Landus, Vayne, and also Jonah got in the way and tried to calm them down. Arnold's body shook violently as he became the target of being blamed for the incident.

Then now it was Sarah's turn to break the silence, "Forget it all. Instead of blaming Arnold, we should find out what we are going to do now. We don't know where our next destination is and it's impossible if we have to walk aimlessly"

While they were still thinking about what to do next, suddenly everyone heard a rumbling sound that was rapidly approaching them. With a reflex, they turned in the direction of the voice.

From a distance, everyone saw hundreds of strange creatures they had never seen before. The creatures quickly came to Arnold and all the humans who were in the meadow. In contrast to the panic that engulfed everyone in the meadow, Arnold felt the opposite.

"Why do these creatures look so familiar to me? I feel like I've seen these creatures before," muttered Arnold quietly.

He didn't know what made him feel so calm. However, Arnold was sure that something had happened to him. Arnold remembered that he knew because the creature that was approaching him now was similar to what the Book of Pandaemonium he had read described. Arnold knew how to dodge their attacks and even knew how to defeat them.

These creatures were the Orc races. Their natures are destroyers and meat eaters. They ride some kind of wolf. But this wolf is different from wolves in general. According to the book, this wolf is commonly called a Wolfbeast. Wolfbeast is a wolf that has front legs like humans but is equipped with very sharp claws. Wolfbeast can run on two legs or four legs.

Mixed feelings enveloped everyone in the field. The shock and confusion from moving to a place they didn't know, mixed with the deep fear that there were monsters ready to ambush them all. In the midst of their fear.

Someone was seen taking a few steps forward from where he was standing and getting ready with his martial arts stance. He took several deep breaths but began to stare intently at the monsters after steadying his heart.

"I don't know why I'm doing this. However, if I don't defeat a few of them, they will kill us all," Joseph Landus mustered up all his courage. In fact, he did so with the least frightful screams of some of the people behind him.

Randolph's mind seemed also to move when he saw Landus move forward to kick some of the monsters. However, he still wasn't sure what to do with it. He realized that his current physique did not support him for now.

"I don't deny that he has martial arts and high self-confidence, but one person fighting hundreds of beasts like that is tantamount to suicide," Arnold muttered from inside.

From the deep despair of being in this situation, Arnold suddenly heard a clear whisper right in his ear. A voice that made even the hairs on his neck stand on end. But at the same time, when Arnold heard that voice, he felt like he got something that made his blood boil and made all his fears disappear.

"Hey, do you need my help?"

Arnold's eyes widened. He looked around for where the voice came from. However, he didn't see anyone as everyone was fixated on the orcs that were rapidly approaching them. Everyone felt that their lives were really in danger with the monsters that hunted humans down so ferociously.

"Wh... who is that??," Arnold stuttered.

"Khu..khu..khu… I am the only person who will be of service to you in this world. I will lead you to perfection and greatness."
