Chapter-4

"What kind of weapon do you want"

Zhou Li took out a scroll from his pockets and gave it to the old man, who opened it. The old man had his eyes wide for a while before closing his eyes and nodding as if figuring out something. He then closed the scroll and put it in his pockets.

"How much will it cost for all of it"

"1900 ICS"

He gave the old man a card. The old man had a surprised expression on his face before taking the black gold card which was trimmed with red.

"In how many days can it be ready"

"It will take some time because of the specifications"

"All of the weapons will be finished in a week"

"A week, that's very fast can you be sure of the quality as well"

"Yes"

"Then that's okay"

"I will come a week later to collect all the weapons"

He then went out of the shop. Inside the shop, the old man looked at the closed door for a while before leaving to guide his son in his blacksmithing.

Zhou Li then went to a clothing shop. He needed some shady clothes when he needs to do some shady stuff. He then went out of the night market. The night market also functions also at the day though the name night market but it is more crowded at night.

Before getting to the car garage, he took a turn at an alleyway since he sensed that some idiots were trailing him.

Three figures went into the alleyway he has just turned. They all had black robes covering them from head to toe. Zhou Li was up above them, on the roof of a building.

"Where is he? Where did he go?"

The middle one who seemed like the leader of the group asked.

"There is no reason to wait," He said and jumped down. He broke his fall by landing on the middle figure and used his leg to kick the left one. The one who got kicked hit the wall of the building and made a dent in the wall as he got unconscious. The one who broke Zhou Li's fall was smashed to the ground as he felt some of his bones break and threw up blood.

'Blech'(Throwing up blood noise)

The one on the right tried to hit him but Zhou Li caught his arm and broke it.

"Ahhhh"

He curled up like a ball and held his broken arm with his other one as he had tears rolling down his face.

Zhou Li held the one who broke his fall and threw him to the wall with only a little bit of his strength since he didn't want to make him unconscious as well. He needed answers. He would not have mattered with questioning if they were some street punk but they were not.

"Why were you three following me?"

Zhou Li said as he removed the robe that was covering his face. The man had an average face but his eyes were dropping as if he has not had slept for days. He had blood all over his mouth and his robe was dyed red because of the thrown-up blood. He had a pained expression on his face.

"Just kill me"

"I need answers"

Zhou Li stomped on his leg and broke it. The man tried to yell because of the pain but his mouth was blocked by a hand. Though they were in an alleyway and the streets were fairly empty, it would be bad if someone noticed.

"Stop, stop please I will talk"

"It's because sir bought from the old man John's store."

"Hooh"

"Who ordered you to keep old man John from getting customers?"

He was hesitating so Zhou Li held his foot up on his other leg.

"No, no, please stop, I will tell"

"A higher up from the Chen family ordered us to"

"Who exactly?"

"We don't know either, one of the subordinates of the higher up told us to do it"

Zhou Li then went for his car and drove off to a mall.

Inside the car, he looked at the little drawer and opened it. He found a pair of sunglasses.

"Weren't these the ones I lost a few months ago?"

"Well, a little style wouldn't hurt"

He put on the sunglasses and drove like a boss. If the car windows were not see-through, the nearby pedestrian girls would have screamed out their lungs if they had seen a glimpse of him, with the sunglasses, which made him look even cooler than before.

He soon arrived in front of the mall and stationed his car in the parking spot and then went out. Even though he parked his car away from the main entrance of the mall to not attract attention, it still attracted some as his car was too expensive coupled with his handsomeness, it was like a boon to the hearts of girls both young and old alike. As he kept moving, a girl stopped in front of him and asked him his number, using all the skills she had in her mind to attract him.

"Sorry, I already have a girlfriend"

"It's fine, it can just be a one-nighter if you want"

She tried to move her hair behind her ear but as she blinked. The moment she opened his eyes, he was no longer there.

Inside the mall, Zhou Li was moving with his white jacket to hide his head, a mask to hide his face and of course, he was still wearing his sunglasses. He went to a Game shop and bought a Vr headset. He wanted to buy one with nutrient solutions but he didn't want to take such a thing home.

He was finished with his shopping so he left the mall but on his way back, he saw a cafe. He went to the shop. The shop wasn't high-end but it had a pleasant and relaxing feeling, The tables were neatly arranged and very clean. He went to the counter to see various kinds of pastries.

"One cheesecake and a cup of coffee please, aunty"

The woman who was behind the counter who seemed like she was in her mid-forties turned around and smiled as she said

"It will arrive in a few minutes, young man"

Though he knew her in his past life, it wasn't like she would know him so he just acted neutral. He became a little surprised when he saw that she was smiling.

Then he sat in one of the seats and removed his mask and hoodie as he looked at the scenery around him.

"Bring back memories"

This was the cafe he always come to relax in his past life.
