After Zhou Li had turned in the tasks, he accepted the new tasks that were available. Zhou Li then did the mandatory tasks such as delivering a letter to someone and carrying the things asked by the NPC. The rewards of the quests not only included money but also some potions. After another hour of doing miscellaneous tasks, Zhou Li finally reached the village's reputation for level 1. He had also reached level 2 and got another twenty stat points.

From levels 1 to 3 would only be mostly miscellaneous tasks. Zhou Li thought it was good that the village's reputation was capped at level 5 instead of 10, unlike the cities. The only reason why Zhou Li was certain that he would be able to reach the village reputation max was not only because of his knowledge from his past life but it was also his cheat-like inspection skill that could see all the quests. He asked Chunhua to pull the quest panel up of the NPCs and would pre-farm when he saw the items that were needed. Even though he had a good memory, he wasn't certain that he could remember every single quest with his previous life knowledge. Zhou Li only reached reputation level 2 before reaching level 10 in his previous life so even if he remembers all the quests he had finished inside the village in his past life, he wouldn't be confident that he would reach max level reputation with the village before reaching level 10. But without his cheat inspection skill, he wouldn't know the secret quest and would try to do it so it could be called a double-edged sword.

Zhou Li then went into the forest again. There would be bonus experience gained if the opponent was higher leveled than the player and Zhou Li was gonna abuse this feature. Before, he would run when the wolf howled and would only take single fights but, now, he felt that he could at least fight a group of wolves. The reason was because of his stats, though the normal player wouldn't be this confident. The reason why Zhou Li was confident was because Sanctuary depended on the physical skills of the person in real life. Anything that was done physically inside Sanctuary, they could do it outside in real life as well but vice versa, the greater your physical abilities in real life, the better you could play in the game as well.

With the extra stats, Zhou Li felt the restraint on him lessen a bit as he felt like he was slower in the game. Though Zhou Li starting stats were 10 each, it would definitely be more than 10 if the max wasn't 10 for the physical quality.

After Zhou Li had found a wolf, he damaged it till it reached a stage where it would use its howl. The two attack skills of the wolves were bite and scratch. They had one more skill, howl, which they would use when they were on low health and call for back up. After the wolf had howled, it attacked Zhou Li again but Zhou Li parried its attack with his sword and then attacked it once more and killed it.

Zhou Li didn't have to wait long till 7 wolves arrived. When they arrived, Zhou Li dodged each of their attacks like he was playing tag with children. He would use the terrain as well as parry when he could and strike back while at it. When the wolves thought that Zhou Li was hiding behind a tree and tried to find him, they would be dumbfounded when he arrived behind them and killed them. In this way, he killed six of them and let the last one howl before killing it as well. He collected the drops and after he had finished collecting, another pack of wolves arrived. A pack of wolves would have numbers from 6 to 10. After an hour and a half, Zhou Li was still farming these wolves. Why he was farming these wolves was for their pelt. All of the leather worker's quest was just wolf pelts with each having greater numbers than the last one. To finish the quest, he would need to have exactly 935 wolf pelts. A wolf would drop pelts ranging from 3 to 7. He would have to kill at least 200 to 300 wolves to obtain that much.

As Zhou li was finishing the seventh batch of wolves, his instincts flared so he rolled away from where he was collecting the drops. When he looked back, he saw a wolf different from the normal wolves he was farming. The wolf had a red mane and an aura different from others in his pack. It was an alpha wolf. An alpha creature was a type of monster that was different from its species. It was faster and stronger and bigger than its own species and would often be the leader of a herd or pack if there was one. An alpha was rare and hard to find but when killed, the exp and drops would be generous.

Zhou Li now had to use the skill he received from the village chief after completing the second quest.

The reason why he was not using it till now was because he wanted to train a bit with the wolves but things were getting a bit serious. A normal creature that was an alpha could even rival a bronze-tier boss. When a monster was an alpha, it would have ten times more health than its species and would take less damage not only because of its defense that had been enhanced but also because of its alpha trait. The trait would often have 20 to 40 percent less damage. All the stats of alpha would be 3 times greater than normal. All the skills of an alpha would be the same as its species but the quality would change as the skill would have alpha in the name and would deal more damage and effects than normal.

Not only that, the alpha would often travel with its pack or herd as its leader so a player not only has to deal with the alpha, they would also have to deal with its pack as well. After the sneak attack of the alpha failed, the alpha howled and sent three wolves to attack Zhou Li at once. Zhou Li used the skill slash and instantly killed a wolf and dodged one and parried the other. After killing the three, The alpha sent all of his wolves which were numbering 15 at once and he also moved at that time. Zhou Li used the terrain to confuse the wolves as he parried and killed and kited. It was inevitable that he would receive injuries and after he had lost 20 percent of his health and killed 7 wolves, the alpha wolf attacked when Zhou Li was occupied with another one. It was futile as Zhou Li's focus had been on it this entire time. The only reason he had received injuries was because he had been focusing on the alpha at all times. Zhou Li rolled to avoid it and attacked it at the same time. Zhou Li came up from the ground as he chugged a health potion.

"About 30% less damage"

Zhou Li said as he used his skill on another wolf that tried to attack him after chugging the potion. After some time, the only two that were left on the battlefield were Zhou Li and the alpha. The alpha looked at Zhou Li with hatred for killing its herd. Zhou Li had to be careful as the bite skill of the wolves had dot damage which would last for 5 seconds and the alpha would definitely take at least 70 percent of his health with that skill alone.

Zhou Li had already studied the attack patterns of the wolves and the ones of the alpha were no different. As Zhou Li was lowering the health of the alpha,

"Master, you have only 15 minutes left to kill the alpha"

"It's enough time"

Chunhua had been silent during this time because Zhou Li had been focused on the fight. At other times, Zhou Li would talk with Chunhua but he had to take this fight seriously or else he would lose it. After knowing about the time, Zhou Li went a bit more aggressively during the attacks and got a critical strike when he hit the leg of the wolf and broke it. the leg went flying as blood and meat scattered everywhere. Zhou LI went in even more aggressively after that and after ten minutes, he had finished the fight. He then collected the drops of everything and after five minutes, his vision turned dark and when he opened his eyes, he was back in his room.
