Soul Marking

Next day after the Awakening.

Lucas and Luna stood in one of the training halls of the Villa. Amden stood facing the twins.

He had a very serious expression on his face.

Amden finally broke the silence and said, "Both of you are very special and will work for me in the future. But their is one thing I need the both of you to know."

Amden's voice sounded grim and heavy. Hearing Amden speak in such tone Lucas questioned, "What is it young master?"

Amden hesitated for a moment and said, "I will mark your souls."

Both Lucas and Luna got confused at this. They did not understand what Amden meant.

Amden explained further, "I will leave my own mark on your souls. It is a precaution against betrayal. You can basically say that I will be having a good enough control on your souls."

Before the twins could react or interrupt him, he continued, "Personally I trust the both of you. But I have my reasons to do something like this."

He continued further, "Also if you want you can leave freely. I promise that I will bring no harm to any of you even if you leave. With you talents many families and organizations would be willing to go to war to obtain both of you."

After finished speaking their was an intense silence for few moments.

It was Luna who stepped forwards, "You are correct young master. Their would be quite a few places willing to take us in."

She continued further in a determined voice, "But all this talent and genius label is because of you. I may have not even lived my life more than few months. Following you is our biggest determination and goal."

Although Lucas maintained silence be nodded his head in agreement with determination.

He would have paid and price to bring his sister back to safety.

And to the man who not only had saved her life but also provided them with a chance to get stronger and earn dignity he was ready to pledge it all.

"Very well", replied Amden with a small smile. Although this was what he had expected already, the reaction of the twins still made him happy.

Amden gestured and both of the brother and the sister sat cross legged in a meditative position.

Amden then started to draw some symbols in mid air using his mana. Although they appeared like a rune, they were different.

After drawing many numerous symbols he made a slit on his thumb and dropped two drops of blood on the symbol.

The drawn symbols were split into two parts and each one of it entered into the forehead of the twins.

Lucas and Luna felt a marking appear on their souls and an instantaneous connection with Amden.

Immediately afterwards Amden's face turned pale. He was on the verge of losing consciousness.

Lucas and Luna sprinted towards Amden and helped him to seat in a meditative position.

While in meditation Amden started to remember all what had transpired the previous night.

He was contemplating on all the things which had happened and was thinking about his future course of action.

Meanwhile similar to Cilia he also had his doubts regarding the twins. Although he was sure of their loyalty and could see the gratitude on their faces he still had a faint trance of doubt.

He didn't knew what would happen in future. And like any human would react, he maintained that faint doubt if the heart of twins would somehow change in the future.

It was at this moment as if sensing his feeling the cube glowed in his mindscape and a sudden pain assaulted his mind.

It was an intense pain and lasted for few moments.

When the pain subsided, their was an additional information in his mind. This information was not from the ancient god's memories but from the cube itself.

What he received was a soul cultivation method named 'Universal Soul Scripture.'

It had two parts. The first contained the method to raise his own soul strength while the second part contained the method to mark other souls which he used on Lucas and Luna.

After receiving the scripture Amden was bewildered. Was the cube a sentient which could read his thoughts?

Then he also thought about the pain. Previously whenever he had received any memory, be it his Mana Cultivation method or the memories of the ancient god he did not feel any pain.

He wondered that he felt the pain because he was not strong enough to automatically awaken the memory and the cube had to forcefully instill in his mind.

[Flashback end]

Amden used his newly acquired 'Universal Soul Scripture' to recover his soul power. Marking the two souls had taken a toll on his soul power which resulted in his weakened state.

After regaining his strength he checked for the soul mark. He could immediately feel the connection amd his control over the mark.

Using the connection he spoke directlyin their minds, "With this connection I can talk to you even if you are somewhere far. Just that its range is limited now. I can also transfer Scriptures and skills with this connection."

Amden then transferred the scriptures they would practice.

Lucas received 'The Darkness Dominance Scripture' as his strongest affinity was with dark.

Luna received 'The Extreme Frigid Yin Scripture' same as Amden's mother.

Luna would practice the 'Chaotic Mana Circulating Scripture' till she absorbs all the mana and then would shift to the new one.

Along with this he also gave them few battle techniques related to their elements.

Amden then called Cilia and requested her to train both of them.

Since they never had a proper training they needed to start learning from the basics. With this the training of Lucas and Luna started.
