Hunting

It has been two days since the battle with Giant Fire Scorpion.

Gu Teng has already made a full recovery thanks to the recovery potion.

With both of them fully ready to move on they decided to leave the desert tomorrow.

But in the meantime, to rack up more merit points, both decided to give a small visit to a pack of hyenas.

There was a total of 7 hyenas in this pack with 3 males and 4 females.

While 4 of them happened to be on the ground surrounded by their own blood.

They were ranked 1 body transformation realm layer 1 beast, but they had double the speed of a normal beast in their realm.

Not only that they also travel in a pack making them very difficult opponents to hunt.

The most trick part of dealing with the pack was when they would surround a person and attack from all directions if you didn't have a party.

To be able to hunt them you would either need a good team or strength way higher than their own.

" Shi Liang you take one on the left and I'll take the two on the right," said Gu Teng to Shi Liang

Looking at the two hyenas in front of him Gu Teng active his moment technique called the lighting flash technique. 

This moment technique gives the user an increase in speed and whenever it is active the user will release thunder around the body that can cause damage to the surrounding environment thus giving its name.

The lighting flash technique was ranked S but because of the laws of this world, the same technique is no different from an A rank.

Activating the lighting flash technique Gu Teng's body started to release yellow lighting that created a sizzling sound.

When it made contact with the sand on the ground, it immediately turned into glass because of how hot the lightning was.

A quarter of a second later a lighting flash could be seen where Gu Teng was previously standing; around it was lightning cracks traveling in all directions.

The next second Gu Teng appeared a few meters away from those two hyenas holding a spear with a red handle, red blood covered the blade.

Slowly both of those hyenas started to split in half as blood gushed out from their bodies turning the sand red from their blood.

THUD!!

Moving his head to the left he could see Shi Liang using her swords to swing right into the neck of the hyena, cutting it off clean. 

" Gu Teng this should be enough for today we already hunted beast worth 500 merit points each," said Shi Liang to Gu Teng while breathing heavily from fatigue.

" Shi Liang you can go back to rest; I can still rack up more merit points," said Gu Teng in an apologetic tone. 

Looking up at Gu Teng's apologetic face Shi Liang started to further get pissed off at Gu Teng for being stubborn.

Shi Liang didn't know if he was acting dense or if the recovery potion failed to heal his brain while it was at it.

" Look Gu Teng I know that placing in the top 10 means a lot to you but what if we get involved in a situation that could potentially kill us," said Shi Liang with a look of seriousness. 

" Shi Liang you must be thinking about the incident with that Giant Scorpion but now this is the third time I'm about to remind you, it was an accide" said Gu Teng before being interrupted.

"Help, s-someone please help" a voice from some distance away yelled out.
