Rise of the Dragon Emperor

Hello there! I'm the author and this is my second attempt at making a novel. I have put in a lot of effort to make this novel as good as possible so that you can enjoy the novel which I have written. There will be minor mistakes within the novel, but I have tried my best to make the reading experience as best as possible. If you notice any errors or things that you do not like I will try to improve the problem as soon as possible. I hope that you enjoy my novel and continue to read it. I look forward to seeing all your comments and being able to interact with all of you :) Druak was an aspiring mage who wished to gain vast amounts of knowledge and had an incredibly amount of curiosity. Fate, however didn’t allow him to follow the path which he wished to follow. After a failed experiment Druak was sent into a coma for many years and lost his best chance to learn anything about magic. After living for 27 years Druak tragically died after being pushed off a cliff by a figure which was cloaked in black. Druak had lived a miserable life, each person he ever cared for or got close die before his eyes. Even his best friend was brutally killed in front of his eyes and Druak was powerless to stop it. 100 years after Druaks death a battle that shook the entire continent took place between a Lich king and four minor kingdoms. This battle resulted in the death of the Lich King. And the death of this Lich King seemed to set something into motion. Traveling all the way back in time Druak was once again alive, this time inside his 17-year-old body. He was finally given a second chance however, unbenounced to him he wasn’t the only one who was given a second chance. The cover of this novel does not belong to me so if the original owner wishes for me to take it down please let me know and I will be sure to change it.

Muddy Situation

As they walked through the forest the ice mage which accompanied Druak noticed something off about him.

"Hey are you alright, you look like you're about to pass out."

"I'm fine, don't worry about me."

"What are you on about, you've got blood dripping from all over your body and your face looks like you're about to die. Stop acting tough and treat your wounds properly."

Druak face was shocked, only his father ever had a go at him so he hadn't expected this from a person he only knew for a few hours.

Knowing that she was right Druak removed his shirt to treat the wound on his stomach.

The ice mage was shocked at what she saw, Druaks body was covered in scars. His body was still rather skinny with only a bit of definition so it only made the scars look worse.

'What the hell has he gone through. He's at the same age as me… right.'

Druak looked at his bloodied wound then looked at his companion and thought.'I'm gonna need help with this, I should probably ask her since there's no healers around.'

"What's with that weird expression you have, aren't you gonna help."

"Oh, uh. Yeah, I'll help. What do you need me to do." Her face had recovered from her shock and she walked over to give Druak a hand.

"I'm going to pull out the arrow. All you need to do is freeze the wound. Make sure you freeze all around it or it will get infected."

She nodded in response and got ready to freeze the wound.

"On my mark….. Now"

Gritting his teeth Druak pulled out the arrow, and before blood could seep out the ice mage froze all around the wound.

Wincing in pain Druak said."That was a little more ice than i was expecting, but at least you covered the wound, hahaha."

Punching Druak on the shoulder the ice mage shouted."Oi. If you're gonna complain I won't help you again."

Putting his arms up Druak says."Alright, alright. I surrender. I don't want to become more injured after I just covered up my wound.

Putting his shirt back on Druak asked."So how are you're wounds, got anything serious."

The ice mage nods no but Druak still tells her to treat her wounds since they have already started resting.

While cleaning her wounds Druak decided it would be best to make sure that their tracks were covered. Looking back he noticed drops of his blood that the nobles could follow.

'I need to hide our tracks to make sure they stay away from us… Especially with how wounded we are.'

Druak cleared the blood that he had dropped and created tracks in the opposite direction of where he planned to go. Once finished he made sure to use the trees to get back to prevent any tracks from being seen, this was rather easy as all of the trees were very close together.

Once Druak had returned the ice mage had managed to take care of her wounds and they both carried on their hunting.

While Druak and his companion were busy hunting the nobles were busy hunting something as well, the only difference was that they weren't hunting monsters.

The group of nobles was now much larger and one particular noble that was injured shouted. "Damn it. Those f**king peasants got in the way of our fun."

A much larger noble responded."And you let those pathetic mosquitoes do this much damage to you. Such weaklings barely class as nobles. Your lucky I know your brother or I'd beat the sh*t of you myself for disrespecting the noble class with your presions"

Grovelling on the ground the noble quickly says."Thank you for showing us mercy, you're truly a merciful noble."

"Stop grovelling and find those damn mosquitoes. We can't let any of those pathetic things within our great academy."

As the nobles were busy looking for Druak and his companion, Druak was using what time he had left to get as many points as possible.

"So do you think those nobles are going to find us."

Druak looked at the ice mage responding with a smile."Naa… I sent them on a little adventure, so we should be fine."

As she's laughing away the ice mage says."Kinda wanted to have another fight with them, but it will be funny to see those idiots expressions when we finish this test… Hope you sent them somewhere interesting."

"Oh don't worry, I'm sure they'll love where I sent them…. Let's get back to hunting, we still need to get enough points to secure our spot on this test."

The ice mage nods and they continue with their hunting.

After a few hours of hunting it was almost time for Druak and his companion to head back, they were just finishing off a small group of 1st stage monsters that had ambushed them.

The nobles weren't so lucky.

"What the hell is that thing. How did those two get past this thing."

The noble had been following the tracks that Druak had placed, which led to the hunting ground of a 3rd stage boar monster, which was covered in hide that even some 2nd and 3rd stage classes would struggle to damage.

"Those despicable peasants even went into the territory of those disgusting, mud covered, creatures."

The leader of the nobles pointed towards the peasants they brought and shouted." Oi. Peasants. Sacrifice your worthless lives for us so we can escape, and if you dare to run away I will kill you myself.

The commoners followed the orders, as they didn't want to die, but it made no difference as they were almost instantly impaled by the giant boar's tusks.

Blood spattered everywhere and the noble's first reaction was to throw the body of the peasant, which landed near him, away and shout." Disgusting!! How dare that peasants body come near me. It even got blood on me."

However the expression of the nobles soon changed from disgust to fear, as the boar now only had one target left, the nobles.

Running away like cowards, the noble's clothes began to become dirtied and were torn to pieces, but they managed to survive.

Covered in blood, dirt and sweat, the leading noble 'Albert Donray' yelled."F*ck those two peasants. They're dead when I find them." As he smacked the head of one of his followers, to vent his anger.
