Rise of the Dragon Emperor

Hello there! I'm the author and this is my second attempt at making a novel. I have put in a lot of effort to make this novel as good as possible so that you can enjoy the novel which I have written. There will be minor mistakes within the novel, but I have tried my best to make the reading experience as best as possible. If you notice any errors or things that you do not like I will try to improve the problem as soon as possible. I hope that you enjoy my novel and continue to read it. I look forward to seeing all your comments and being able to interact with all of you :) Druak was an aspiring mage who wished to gain vast amounts of knowledge and had an incredibly amount of curiosity. Fate, however didn’t allow him to follow the path which he wished to follow. After a failed experiment Druak was sent into a coma for many years and lost his best chance to learn anything about magic. After living for 27 years Druak tragically died after being pushed off a cliff by a figure which was cloaked in black. Druak had lived a miserable life, each person he ever cared for or got close die before his eyes. Even his best friend was brutally killed in front of his eyes and Druak was powerless to stop it. 100 years after Druaks death a battle that shook the entire continent took place between a Lich king and four minor kingdoms. This battle resulted in the death of the Lich King. And the death of this Lich King seemed to set something into motion. Traveling all the way back in time Druak was once again alive, this time inside his 17-year-old body. He was finally given a second chance however, unbenounced to him he wasn’t the only one who was given a second chance. The cover of this novel does not belong to me so if the original owner wishes for me to take it down please let me know and I will be sure to change it.

Battle of two Ice Users

Druak was still stuck in ice and he only had a few seconds before he would be stabbed.

The voice of the girl approached Druak, yelling."This is what you get for making fun of my height!!!!"

'Wait, when did I make fun of her height. That's not important, I need to get out of this ice.'

The girl had closed into Druak at an incredible speed and she was just about to hit Druak with an ice dagger. Not wasting any time Druak cast a spell, forming a magic circle which appeared before him.

A massive burst of cold air and fog surrounded Druak, blurring the girl's sight of him.

This only lasted for a moment however, but when it was gone Druak was nowhere to be seen.

'Where'd that a**hole go. I can't find him anywhere.' As the girl tried to look around she began to lose her passions, yelling."Stop being a coward and show your…"

But before she could say anymore a cold chill fell down her back as she heard someone whisper."I'm right here."

Quickly turning around she saw the face of Druak, but before she could do anything else a blast of cold air smashed into her gut, sending her flying into a wall.

Instead of continuing the fight Druak stopped his magic and walked towards the girl before him, trying to reach out a hand to help her up. But before Druak even had a chance to respond she had already launched another attack at him, throwing an ice shaped dagger at him.

Druak was confused. It seemed as though the girl was barely fazed by that last attack, only having a small cut on her cheek.

Deciding there was nothing he could do to persuade her right now, he decided to take this opportunity to learn just how many abilities he had and what their limits were

The first thing he tests is what he is capable of creating.

The girl didn't give Druak much of a chance to think of anything too impressive as she was constantly launching small ice daggers. Using this as an opportunity, Druak tries to form an ice shield on his arm.

The two ice creations collided with one another, forming a cloud of ice shards.

As the ice cloud cleared Druak and his shield could be seen, it seemed only the girl's ice magic had broken and Druak's shield was still usable, despite the large gashes in it. The only problem was that Druak had a much larger shield in mind, so even though the shield blocked most of the blades some had managed to hit Druak.

'At least I know my limits now. But I still don't know enough about this magic of mine.' Druak thought, ignoring the gash in his arm.

The girl before Druak seemed annoyed at the strength of Druak's ice magic and decided to launch even more attacks at him

The fight had continued for quite some time, at the start there weren't many people around so Druak was fine with showing some of his skills, but now students began to flock around to watch.

After more people arrived Druak realising he was getting too much attention and quickly stopped fighting, hoping no one would recognise him if he left quickly.

Launching his ice fog spell, he sneaked past the crowd, trying to hide amongst them.

It seemed that he was successful, as no one followed him.

As he sneaked away he heard some of the students chatting amongst themselves and heard what they were talking about.

"Who was that."

"Must have been a noble since they were so strong, but why are they in the 11th group if they're that strong."

'Damn nobles. Why do they think only nobles can be strong. I guess it's a good thing though, it means they won't suspect me.'

After the fight ended Druak decided to hide in the crowd, waiting for an opportunity to approach the girl again. He needed someone with her strength, even if she seemed a bit too aggressive.

Slowly walking away Druak began to notice the cut on his arm was getting worse, blood constantly dripping wherever he went.

Due to the uniform not belonging to him Druak decided to tear a small piece of cloth from his clothes, which he stored in his new storage orb.

Wrapping his wound with the cloth seemed to stop the bleeding, so Druak left it and continued to observe the girl he had fought, in hopes of teaming up with her.

After the girl walked into the crowd and they saw that she wasn't a noble, most of the crowd had left with a disappointed expression on their face.

"They're just a peasant like us. It's not worth getting close to them."

Because of the way low class people were treated, even commoners looked down upon each other as most of them only considered nobles as important figures in society. This was one of the reasons why so many commoners would join wars, as they hoped to get a noble title from it.

This was also how nobles managed to stay in power, as they could remove the commoners they didn't like, saying it was a war casualty and not an assasination.

The only reason Druak knew about this was because in his past life he had tried to join the army but was almost assantated instantly, this and other reasons led him to be far more secluded than he wanted to be in his past life.

After waiting for some time Druak had finally found an opportunity to approach the girl once again, this time he planned to be far more careful with what he said, as he still didn't know what had made her angry before.

Walking towards her he took a deep breath and tapped her on the shoulder, as she did to him beforehand.

The voice of the girl was once again heard, this time much calmer."Is there something you…. It's you." Her rage had once again returned, almost instantly after she saw Druak's face.
