Yelena Succeeds

A little girl walked into a room full of people who were wearing expensive formal dresses. She ran through the crowd and seemed to be looking for someone that is when she heard the surprised and frightened voices of the people from a certain direction.

When she reached the place from where the Voices were coming she saw a head separated from the body on the ground and her father holding the sword. It was the head of the person she was looking for, her eyes wide open in shock and tears falling from the realisation that one of the people she loved had been killed, the vision of the girls starts to fade away in the darkness.

Yelena woke up in a hospital room from her dream and breathed heavily, she slowly opened her eyes and saw Ben sleeping near his bed on a chair. Yelena didn't feel too much strength in herself because she had lost too much blood last time. She sat cross-legged over her bed and started to channel light energy through her body, she could not control the flow but she could cover her entire body with it.

Slowly her Vitality was getting restored and her complexion got better. She touched her abdomen and there was a mark left even though the wound was closed, it was unsightly, as a woman she didn't prefer having such a mark but this was a sacrifice she had to make. She put her t-shirt back on herself and turned around to see that Ben was awake and had his hands over his eyes but he could still see from the gap between his fingers.

" I swear I only saw your back. I am sorry!" He apologised as he got up and bowed.

" Don't sweat it, tell me what happened," Yelena asked, she had been unconscious and didn't know what happened after she lost consciousness.

" Well, first you need to tell me about this." Ben showed video footage to her in which she was seen cutting her abdomen and also handing out the bag. " What were you trying to do miss Yelena?"

' But how? I ordered them to shut down the camera. They should have shut every CCTV camera.'

" It's not CCTV footage, it was something that my mini-robots captured." He answered. A black insect around the size of two inches hovered near Yelena.

' This guy, I underestimated him.' Yelena thought.

" Where is Conan? Does he know?" Yelena suspected that Ben had not told Conan anything about this, why else would he be the only one sitting here and telling her about it. Conan would have used a more aggressive approach or he would have left her to die if he knew this, this was what she thought.

" I haven't shown it to Conan yet, you also handed the bag to a man, I never thought that you had the people from the auction under your command. I don't understand that part at all, why would they follow your orders." Ben asked his doubt.

" Where is Conan?" She avoided the question asked by Ben and asked another of her own.

" He told me to take you to the hospital, it's been twelve hours since then. He might be searching for the stolen things." Ben answered, " Why did you steal the items?"

" You are not loyal to Conan as much as I thought, you didn't tell him, do you also desire something by hiding this?" Yelena chuckled.

" Don't question my loyalty as a friend, I can tell where the man you had handed the items to is, To Conan whenever I want. I want Conan to get whatever he wants among those items and as long as I am helping him he will get it somehow." Ben snapped." It's just that I thought of you as a friend as well, I thought the three of us would travel together."

" He declined, Even to you, right?" Yelena replied.

" So, Are you doing this so that he would take us with him? What was your plan?"

" I was going to make him owe me since I was a former guard captain, I was going to order one of my subordinates for a little help. I will send the items in his possession and inform Conan about it and then help him get those items so he would owe me. Before that, I would have asked him to take us with him."

" Isn't that a little stupid? As I remember he agreed to teach you and me the energy control. Don't you think that you would owe him for that?" Ben asked making a serious face, " We owe him more than one favour."

" Yes that is right but we need to at least start somewhere to build a relationship as allies," Yelena replied.

" I will keep this a secret, for now, I am telling Conan the location of the items. However, don't do this again in the future." Be warned.

" Hey, wait, don't you think you would also be able to convince him after I joined him in his travels."

" There is no need for that, I have come to understand Conan much better than you do. He had already decided to take us with him if we ever asked again, he is just playing it tough." Ben chuckled, and Yelena froze at these words, which she thought, whether what Ben was saying can be taken at the face value, it could just be an assumption on Ben's delusion.

" Either way miss Yelena succeeded right? I hope you will only act as a true friend from now on." Ben said those words with a smile and left.

Conan had searched every area nearby, and just then he received the message where the items were from Ben. He headed in that direction, with the hope of finally getting what he wanted he was excited about the future.

' With this, we will be one step closer?' Conan thought.

Just as Ben had informed him there was a man, waiting for someone to come with a bag. Conan confirmed the image of the man with what Ben had described him in the message and hid from where no one could see him. His dagger changed into an arrow and shot directly into the man's heart, killing him on the spot, after that it changed into a hook and quickly flew towards Conan with the bag.

He opened the bag and saw all four of the items and sighed, ' It's here, good.'
