Rise of The Baba Yaga ( A Highschool DXD fanfic )

Baba Yaga, the Boogeyman, an entity that haunts the dark forest, and devours children offered by its worshipers in exchange for riches and other earthly pleasures. It was a false Deity, an evil God. But unlike most Gods, Baba Yaga cannot exist in the physical world, it needs a host. This will let it interact with the physical world and allow it to devour the offerings its worshipers offer to it. For Centuries, countless children were sacrificed to allow The Baba Yaga to walk on this world. But for the first time, the sacrifice failed. The cursed child slaughtered everyone near him, and it left him with his memories erased. The cursed child woke up, in an abandoned cabin in the woods surrounded by rotten corpses, knowing only his name. " Cyka blyat! What is this bullshit! " The cursed child now named Nikolai Volkov cussed at the situation he is in. What happens next was unknown to him, but he guessed it was going to be alright. It was good being optimistic. Chapter 1

" Cyka blyat! What's this bullshit! " a voice groaned as the most painful headache was felt as if his skull was slowly being split in half and was also being pulled apart.

" Blyat! Where am I? " everything seemed blurry in his vision, a ray of sunlight that had come from a hole in the roof landed on his face and another wave of pain assaulted his cranium.

" BLYAT!!! PIZDEC!!! "

Not really a good way to begin a story to be honest, but when you get a headache big as his, and not to mention that God-awful stench of rotten flesh, you would not resist the urge to cuss.

It took some time for the headache to go away, but that awful stench persisted. He groggily got up from the wooden floor and shook his head.

As his vision slowly became clear, he stepped on something. He squinted his eyes to see what he actually stepped on. It was a hand, belonging to a dead woman.

The room he was in was littered with dead bodies already beginning to rot with flies and maggots feasting on them.

He had to suppress the urge to puke at the sight. At least fifty corpses were lying on the wooden floor dressed in black robes.

He scanned his surroundings, seeing corpses around him, but there was a lone corpse sitting on a chair made of bones that definitely belonged to a human. Its skin was dried up and greyed, its eye sockets were hollow a very appalling sight for sure.

" Where the blyat am I? " He asked himself, but moments later, he realised.

" Wait! Who am I? WHO AM I?!!! " He didn't know who he was, nothing absolutely nothing. Try as much as he could, everything was blank.

" Wait! Nikolai... Nikolai! I'm Nikolai Volkov! Russian and fifteen years old! " He sighed in relief, even if he know nothing besides his name, it was better than nothing.

His excitement was cut short when he saw the rotten corpses around him. He saw a door and decided to leave this room for now. He opened the door and it revealed to him stairs. He climbed it and it led him to the ground floor. " So I was at the basement. "

The ground floor had a very peaceful vibe to it. It had five rooms, a kitchen, a combined bathroom and washroom, a bedroom and a living room. It was not so well furnished, but it was not bad. At least better than the basement.

He then went outside, the location of this Cabin seemed to be in the middle of a forest in the middle of nowhere. Well, at least there was a potato farm and a well, he was not going to die of starvation or dehydration for a while.

He looked at the sky, it was probably afternoon at that time. With nothing much to do, he went back inside and immediately the stench of rotten corpses greeted him again and he urge himself not to puke.

The stench had to go away, so he had to get rid of the corpses. It was easier said than done, fifty corpses was a big number, and just dragging five of them outside the cabin, he aged twenty years faster as he massaged his aching back. " Blyat! my back! "

[ Four hours later ]

It was hard work, it took four hours to drag everyone outside into a pile. He was feeling like he was an old grandpa with severe back problems. But at least the work was done... well only the first part, it was time for the second and last part.

He was not going to bury them, dig fifty holes? hell no! So he choose the second option, cremation.

As they burned to ash, he took the water from the well and decided to clean the basement. It looked like he was staying here for a day or two and with no knowledge of this area, it was not logical for him to leave this place. There could be dangerous creatures that could roam this forest and let's not forget food and water.

This place had enough sustenance for him to last for a while, and he was going to make use of that to the max.

Darkness had already arrived, with only a lamp to illuminate the cabin, he began to prepare his supper. It was nothing special, just boiled potatoes with salt.

After the satisfying meal, he decided to plan his future actions. Getting out of this forest was going to take a while. Before the sun had set, he decided to climb the tallest tree and see where he was and to his disappointment, as far as his eyes could there were miles upon miles of forest cover. It's gonna take days to walk to the horizon and he would still not escape the forest.

Well, that planning could wait but he was going to sleep now, leaving tomorrow's problem for tomorrow.

He blew the lamp and adjusted to the fairly comfortable bed.

[ DEVOUR!!! ]

Nikolai jumped out of bed and grabbed a knife that he kept near him.

" Who said that? Show yourself! " He demanded as he carefully lit the lamp. The light illuminated the room but no one was with him in the room.

' DEVOUR!!! ' That creepy voice echoed, like a deep demonic voice, that put him on high alert.

This kept repeating and echoing and it began to bring a painful headache to Nikolai.

" BLYAT! " He cussed as he squeezed his temple to lessen the pain.

Something was wrong, but he doesn't know what exactly. But with one look at his right hand, he realised what exactly was wrong.

His hand was covered by a dark mist that was enveloping the knife he was holding.

[ DEVOURED!!! ]

The knife was gone as if the dark mist had eaten it, the creepy voice then came back.

[ DIGESTING TIME: 5 MINUTES ]

He was bewildered at the development, he was so confused, and everything was not making sense. ' Just what is going on? '

CRASH!!!

The bedroom window was shattered, by an arrow. He peeked through the window and saw something that could only exist in horror movies.

" ZOMBIES!!! "

Six zombies in rusted and rotten armour were trodding slowly towards the cabin armed with swords, shields and other weapons.

" Blyat "

Blyat it is, with the danger approaching him, he had two options, run away... or fight.

He took the second option, he wasn't afraid of six moving corpses, he burned fifty of them this afternoon and will do it again.

Like hell, he's running away.
