CHAPTER 35 SHOCK
The undead were beaten black and blue, and they could only join suppress the void creatures with numbers. The Oldman's face was ashen. He didn't expect the void creatures that opened a dead zone in whiteriver would be so plenty and strong. He had hit a metal board this time.
"ROAR" the boy's creatures raised their heads and let out a heart chattering, and the undead retaliated with their own roar.
The oldman stood in the air, watching as his undead were being beaten and torn apart. He let out a roar, and let out a chant in soul language. A large white transparent apparition rushed out from the Oldman's wooden staff.
The giant soul looked around the area. At the sight of the void beast, it let out a soundless roar and crashed against one of the void creatures. The apparition was fearless and dauntless. The eyeball void creature's tentacles were ripped apart. The eyeball's pupil enlarged greatly, and a dark red light shun out from its high, and pierced a hole in the apparition.
A hole was punched through the apparition's chest, and it let out an angry roar, and pounded the eyeball with his fist. The eyeball cried out, and was flattened by the apparition's large fist.
The void creatures saw the addition of a strong being among their enemies, four of the void creatures joined hands together, and rushed at the apparition.
One of the void creature that looks like an horse. Its body was covered in scales, there were three horns were on its head and they formed a triangle. This devilish horse power up it's horn, and a dark beam shot at the white apparition.
A large eagle with a human face, spreads it's wing, and dove than at the apparition. It brought down it's claw and want to tear apart the apparition's head.
Another void creature, with an humanoid form rushed at the apparition, and swinged it's massive fist at the apparition.
The apparition didn't retreat a single step, and clashed with all three of them. The apparition's intelligence must have been destroyed, since it only acted like a mindless beast and fought with its tooth and nails. Though it was strong, it was being suppressed by the three void beast.
The dark broken world trembled greatly, and the crack in space extended even more. The two sides trembled, and try to steady themselves.
At Garen's side, the creature's leader, drew it's finger back and looked at the direction of the old man. There was an eye contact with the old man and spark blossomed in the air.
The oldman suddenly squinted his eye. He geld his chest suddenly, and spurt out a mouthful of blood. The old man wobbled in the air, and crashed down hard on the ground.
"Roar." the largest void creature let out a roar, and some words that are inconceivable to garen. The remaining 16 void creatures left alive took to the sky, and flew out from a large hole in the sky.
The largest of them all stood in the air for a while and looked at Garen. He turned back and left through the hole a while later. Suddenly, the darkness recede, and the scene of apocalypse disappeared.
Garen looked around, and found himself in a deserted side of the city. The white divine road, divine statue, and mythical looking murals were long gone. It must have been hallucinating Garen thought.
"cough....cough..." Garen heard someone coughing beside him, and he looked towards the area. It was the oldman that had suddenly appeared. The oldman was used his staff to support himself slowly. Warm blood trickled slowly from his slightly opened mouth, and his chest heaved heavily.
"are you OK?" Garen asked the oldman. A look of concern was evident on his face; after all, the old man seem to have rushed there to save him.
The oldman looked at the boy for some second, and let out a small laugh. "am OK. But you boy must be special. For you to attract such powerful void beings to yourself, something must be going on." the old man spit out more blood as he coughed out loud. Garen rushed towards his side, and looked to see if the oldman is fine. It wouldn't be nice if he just drop dead before him.
"that should be a void king. Why would a void king suddenly appear in the main plane for no reason. Fuck... The bastard is really heavy handed." the Oldman seem slightly at loss at why the void king would suddenly appear.
Taking more look at the boy, the oldman had a suprised look on his face. He seem to have seen something he didn't expect. "you are actually a sorcerer, the soul energy aura you emit is so weak and unpronounced. You aren't even as useful as an apprentice. How stupid is your teacher to have taught you like this."
Garen blushed in shame. Even though he knows he his weak compared to most sorcerers, he still have a bit of pride at being a sorcerer. But all of that pride had been destroyed by the Oldman's word.
"I have only started my sorcery training for 4months now." Garen gave an explanation for his weakness compared to others.
The oldmane let out a loud laugh. He seem to have just heard the funniest joke in the world. "only four month? I can feel a strong spirit aura from you, so you must be talented. But using only four month? Are you rushing to morgus embrace. Who is that your teacher? Tell me. I want to know ago that stupid man is?"
Garen couldn't argue with the man, after all, the man is far stronger than him. He could only accept the abuse on him and his master. " my master is Draniel.' Garen said his master true name. After all, he isn't sure if his master's fake name is known by others. Though he doubt the name would be known. After all, what is the use of using a well known fake name.
The oldman looked dumbfounded at hearing that name. He looked like he had just seen a ghost. "Draniel! That old bastard Draniel!" the oldman exclaimed out loudly. He just couldn't seem to Believe the name he just heard.
