CHAPTER 28

Turin's eye were wide opened as he saw the blue light pierced towards his neck. Turin watched on as light moved closer. His forehead was filled with perspiration. Even though it hasn't reached him, he already feels as if his neck as been cut off from his neck.

Turin let out a loud roar, and in the little window left before the light reached him, he threw his body sideways.

Though he did his best to dodge, he couldn't escape it completely. The blue light speed suddenly increased, and pierced through turin's left shoulder.

Turin let out a cry of pain and anger, he slashed his scimitar as a way to retaliate, but the feedback was the sound of metal hitting metal.

Suddenly, at the once empty space in front of turin, a man suddenly materialised. The man was dressed in a tight fitting cloth. The mole at the side if his mouth twitched a bit, and he squint his already small eyes.

A glowing dagger in his hand, The middle aged man had a raised eyebrows, seemingly suprised at his sure killing move didn't lead to the death of turin. This man is carsu. The bandit barnuld commissioned to kill Turin.

The bandit all around let out a gasp of fright. They all couldn't understand how a full grown man just appear out of no where. Garen stood at his position. He wasn't all suprised at carsu sudden appearance. With the aid of his soul eye, he had already caught sight of the man's soul even when he couldn't see body. It must be with the help of a strange technique or artifact tat helped him achieve it.

"Hahahahahaa....." turin threw his head backwards and let out a loud laugh. "how stupid of me.... You must have joined hand with that bastard to take me out long ago..... Hahahahahaa carsu I won't let you off." though his shoulder was bleeding, and the flesh mangled, turin shrugged it off and grasped his scimitar tightly.

His eyes shun with hatred at carsu, Andre drowned out everything around him and focused all his attention on carsu.

Carsu's body began to disappear slowly from his leg. He had a smile smirk on his lips and he seems ready to play Turin to death.

Turin was more focused than he had ever been. He spread his leg, and sought a good balance. His scimitar hand was at the back and his almost useless left hand propped lightly in front of him.

The battle was locked in a stalemate. Carsu couldn't finish Turin off in a single strike, but neither could Turin get sight of carsu and retaliate. Though deep down, turin knew he had lost. Barnuld himself hadn't made any move. Should the both of them join hands, he has doomed. But this would not discourage him. Now that he seem to have lost everything, he would have his most satisfying fight of his life he thought.

Suddenly, a blue light sped at him from the back, but different from before, turin was ready for it. He slahed a the light, at his scimitar parried the blow, and not wanting to let his enemy go, he twirled his scimitar with the help of the rebound from hitting the dagger, as slashed at the empty space this back.

'clang' another sound rang out again, but turin wasn't discouraged at his blows being parried. He smashed his left leg towards the same space, and also slashed again with his scimitar.

'whoosh' his blade cut through empty space, but his leg connected to flesh. Carsu reappeared, as turin leg smashed into his own. He let out a small groan, and moved backwards.

Turin not wanting to give his enemy a breathing space, he rushed forward and readied to rain more blows on his enemy.

Carsu stopped abruptly, and swinged his dagger sideways.

Turin didn't expect such a thing, as responded slowly. Before he could raise his scimitar and Parry the attack, the blue light elongated, at caught him in his chest.

The attack drew blood, but it was only a flesh wound. But it was more than that for carsu. He found the reprieve he sought, and his body disappeared once again.

Turin breath more heavily. If he did not quickly finish carsu off, the man would keep on adding small wounds to his body which would later lead to his end as a result of losing too much blood.

He regretted having meeting with those bastard at night. Had he gone in the morning, he wouldn't have been suppressed this much. Though the glowing light from his enemy was particularly striking at night, the light is just too fast and could elongate. It is hard to escape from it. Also the ability to disappear on further enhanced at night. Had it been in the morning, he might have catched carsu. But the darkness obscured his view and made it even easier for his enemy to appear and disappear.

Though he his at disadvantage, he felt there is nothing he could do about it. He can't possibly change the night to day right? All he could do was give it all his best. If he scored a lucky hit on his enemy, his enemy advantage would drastically reduce.

Once again, the blue light appeared again, this time, right in front of him. The light rushed quickly towards his neck, but the broad side of his scimitar received it. He heard a small groan at his front, and he went for it. Turin slide forward, and gathered everything he had in him, not caring how exhausted he will later be, he swinged his scimitar bottom-up.

The tight fitting cloth carsu wore was useless in mitigating the attack. The scimitar, tore through his flesh from the left side of his waist to his right chest. Blood spilled out in great quantity, and carsu's chest was torn open.

The once condescending smile one the man's face disappeared in seconds, and replacing it was a roar of pain and madness. "BASTARD...DIE.... DIE... DIE.... AHAHAHAHA" carsu seem to have run mad and he let out frightening scream. The dagger in his hand pulsed greatly, and the blue light shun far more brightly than before.

Turin knew that the dagger most be accumulating more power, but there was nothing he could do. That last attack took everything he had out of him. As he could only look on as dagger gather more power.

Garen felt sorry for both of them. This would have been turin's chance to end the fight, but he is only and exhausted horse now. As for carsu, too bad the dagger's fukl strength can be used any how. If he had accumulated power earlier, the light would be too striking in this dark and would have made him a sitting duck, but now that he have the chance, that wound on him can be life threatening.

The dagger light has increased to the size of an helmet, and both carsu and Turin roared out loud.
