CHAPTER 12 SPIRIT

Garen excitedly left old bahil's house. The oldman thought him two spells, soul arrow and and thought transfer.

The soul arrow just like its name, it's formed from soul energy. The soul energy is then compressed to the form of an arrow and shot at the opponent. The soul arrow does not deal any physical damage. It affects the soul. Though the damage is not much due to the low amount of soul energy he has he can at most make his opponent have a painful headache. More powerful sorcerers can use it to injure their opponents mind.

Thought transfer is more interesting though. The thought transfer isn't actually as powerful as the name signifies. The user will release a strong emotion then with the help of soul energy transfer it to their opponent. The limitations are the spells don't always work and the emotions most be extremely strong to be successfully transfered. Unlike its name, the thought transfer can only transfer emotions not thought. Though old bahil said there is a far more powerful one that can influence others thinking.

Even though his two spells are not powerful, they are his first ever spells.

Though there were actually weak does, it should have taken an average of three days to learn both but surprisingly, (well only to him. Old bahil had known for sometime.) he his actually talented in sorcery and quickly learned them in just five hours.

A big smile was plastered on his face and he kept rubbing his hands together. He couldn't help but open his soul eye.

The whole world suddenky changed as he opened his soul eye. Floating lines of different colors shots through the air. Old bahil told him the soul eye does not only see the souls but also the mana flowing through the air.

The whole place was mostly filled with brown lines and green lines congregated together. There were quite alot of yellow lines overhead and the red ones were dispersed about and quite some blue.were mixed with the brown.

The colored lines were mana wavelength. The brown ones are the earth element, the green is life, yellow as wind, red for fire and blue for water. It all looked fascinating too him. There were quite some small number of indistinct colors he couldn't recognize.,

Garen couldn't help himself and took a peek the souls of the passerby. Different from how he thought souls will be. At the mentions of soul, he always assumed them to be human shaped, white and floating about. But different from his expectations, they are actually shaped like a ball.

To be precise, they were round shaped glowing ball. Each person has a ball and the ball was right inside their chest. Soon he discovered some difference in thier souls. Though all the soul were glowing, they actually glowed with different intensity and they were hair thin lines carved into the souls. If he hadn't looked very well he might have missed it.

The lines were all different from each other and he hadn't seen any one that was the same. He made a mental note to ask the oldman when next he goes over.

As soon as he reached his house, he closed his doors and sealed the windows with its wooden cover.

He wanted to try out the system again. Though he felt great pain when he tried it in the past, he couldn't deny that he actually ft more intelligent than before and he feels like laughing at the choices he thought were the correct ones before.

Like the one months ago, we're he had to dirty his hands and beat the four kids. There were tons of ways he could have taken care of them without having to dirty his own hands.

Garen was a bit surprised seeing the new spells he learned and the eye of soul he opened being shown in the system. Though his increased intelligence made him sure it wasn't a scam, but still he didn't expect it even include his sorcery.

Then he noticed another thing different from before. His spirit as increased by 0.3. His other stats were the same only his spirit was different from before. It as only been two days since he last saw his stats, he couldn't believe how his spirit just seem to increase.

Also he can't understand why it increased because even with his heightened intelligence, he doesn't know what the spirit stats stands for.

He made a conjecture his mind. Of a he did, only his sorcery training was different from his normal daily life. There didn't seem to be any other thing that could have influenced his stats. So the answer must lie within it.

Wanting to see if he was right or wrong, he focused on his spirit stats and soon his quest point begin to fall.

Quickly it fell rapidly and soon more than 200 Questpoint were deducted yet it didn't stop. It fell even more and soon crossed 250, 300, 400 and kept reducing.

Garen forehead was covered in sweat. Till now he hadn't earn a single quest point and they were already being deducted rapidly. He felt he shouldn't have been impulsive. He should have wait till he got more quest point before he tried it.

Finally, his Questpoint was reduced to 1542 and stoped. A FULL 500 POINTS. he thought looking dumbfounded. His eyes were opened wide like he wants to bore a whole through his quest point. 500point can increase five good stats. Just the concept of one of his stat being improved by five value or an overall increase in all his stats. He let out a sound of grief and wished to be stroke by lightning.

Even with his increased intelligence, he did something so stupid. He should be a bit more intelligent than an average adult, why then does he feel stupid. But he seems to have forgotten that even though he his more intelligent than an average person, an average adult as far more experience than him. With that experience under thier belt, they can still play around with someone like him, intelligent but next to zero life experiences.
