Tough Battle

'Thud!!'

Within the freakishly large cave in Asakusa, a figure dropped to his knees on the cold floor, while blood burst out of his body like a mist.

Taking in deep breaths, he tried to calm himself, however the excruciating pain coming from the many incised wounds that run across from his face to his legs seemed to be laced with some sort of poison that made his skin burn as if acids had been poured onto it.

Glaring at the figure of the beautiful woman walking towards him Kenshin propped himself to his feet, grabbed his cudgel and let out a small smile, while his cursed energy flared.

"To think Id be able to meet a Rinnegan user at such a time, Hahahaha. After I assimilate your body, not only would I gain immortality, I'll become the strongest in the world!!"

Letting out a strange yet evil laugh, the woman's eyes greedily glared at Kenshin's Rinnegan as she daydreamed.

"My body? Hehehe good choice, but let's see if you have what it takes to put me down!"

"Twin Dragon of Sea and Earth!!!!"

Chuckling Kenshin twirled the cudgel gracefully, before he instantly summoned the twin shikigami, the two large dragons who materialized and stood on his side.

Without wasting any time, he took the lead, shattering the sound barrier with explosive speed, he immediately leapt into the sky, and summoned an avalanche of swords and spears behind him which shot towards the woman at immense speed.

"Humph! Not bad..."

Seeing his impressive physical feats, she coldly harrumphed and held up her fingers elegantly. The next moment, a sticky web materialized on her left, before her strings materialized on her right.

Waving her hand, she manipulated the sticky webs to plug out some of the weapons from the sky, before she used the strings to slice through the rest easily.

Kenshin on the other hand, began descending towards her with immense power, with his cudgel cocked back like a hammer, ready to blast her away, however right as the cudgel was about to brutally rip off her head, multiple webs spun from her back and formed a shield around her which instantly cancelled out the force from Kenshin's attack.

Without hesitation, she smiled and waved her hand, allowing the webs to instantly shoot out and tie up the body of the blue haired youth, instantly immobilizing him.

However that was exactly the kind of outcome he wanted. Right in that moment, the twin dragons made their moves.

The earth dragon slammed its claws on the ground heavily, generating a massive seismic force that shook the entire mountain range and instantly crashed towards the woman, while the sea dragon opened its mouth wide like a canon and shot out a beam of highly pressured water towards her.

*BOOMMMM!*

A massive shockwave erupted, that instantly destroyed the cave and everything within. The woman had not even been able to react to the attacks. Her body was hurled flying like a meteor into the forest outside.

However this was the moment Kenshin had been waiting for. Shattering the sticky webs around him with overwhelming strength, he grabbed the cudgel and chased after her at sonic speed, before he began unleashing hit after hit after hit onto the body of the poor woman. Not even minding that fact that her body was rather delicate. Every hit seemed to contain the power to completely rip through a building.

After landing the seventh blow onto her stunned figure, he finally unleashed another blow from his cudgel, one with nearly all of his strength.

*BANG!*

Her head instantly exploded at the point of collision, as a massive shockwave exploded forth, sending even him flying backwards, while ripping through multiple trees in the process.

After the dust died down, Kenshin arose from the rubble with a groan, before puking our blood from his mouth. Turning around towards the destroyed cave, he sighed and closed his eyes, offering a moment of silence for the deceased humans who had been trapped in the cave and tortured by the curses.

He wasn't your typical hero. However if he had the ability to save someone, he wouldn't hesitate to do so, just like his father had told him back then. Save the ones you can, to the best of your ability. He wasn't even sure he was going to emerge victorious and alive after the clash, to even think of going to save them.

However just as he stood with his back turned, and guard dropped, he immediately felt a sharp object rip through his back, as blood spurted out of his mouth.

Looking down, he could see a long blade that kept twitching within his body, as if it was alive. Turning around, he saw a grotesquely large figure of a spider with the head of a woman.

One of the appendages of the spider was currently sticking out of his abdomen, seemingly laced with venom.

"No one has been able to force me to use my true form for years!!! You're really strong! Spawn of the Hayato clan!!!"

*BANG!*

Speaking a voice akin to glass being dragged on a metallic surface, it screeched, before hurling Kenshin's body into the forest like a bag of trash.

As if that wasn't enough, it summoned multiple of its strings which immediately shot towards Kenshin and began mutilating his already mutilated body, causing blood to spurt out crazily.

'To thin an ordinary human would be able to withstand a slash from my string. Sorcerer or not, this is an impossible feat!'

Seeing her goal of trying to dice him up with her cutting strings fail, she thought to herself in disbelief.

Kenshin was far more durable that she had expected. More durable than anyone she had ever fought.

"Your durability even makes me want to assimilate you even more. Apart from Sukuna I haven't seen anyone demonstrate this level of physical ability and durability before, you know..."

Seeing Kenshin crawl to his feet, she let out a smile and readied herself to finish the fight.

"Cursed Technique: Devil's Wine!"

Summoning a large amount of cursed energy within its body, he mouth immediately widened to inhuman levels, and the next moment, a greenish viscous fluid like mercury began to accumulate.

As the attack accumulated and the ball of viscous fluid increased in size, she released the technique causing the ball of fluid to blast towards Kenshin at a high pressure, turning everything it touched into vapor instantly.

Mere inches away from his face, Kenshin's eyes instantly snapped open as he maneuvered around the beam of fluid, grabbed his cudgel and exploded forth with an even greater speed than before.

*BOOM!*

Reaching her in an instant, he hurled himself into the air, willed the cudgel to enlarge itself, and then brought the giant pillar down accompanied by 100 percent of his physical strength and cursed energy.

Reacting quickly, she instantly covered her body like a coccoon with her webs, wanting to shield herself from the incoming onslaught.

*BOOOOMMM!*

As if the terrain itself was shifting, everything was moved out of its initial place by the overwhelming force and shockwave from the attack, that nearly caused an earthquake.

Dropping to his knees, Kenshin puked our blood once more, feeling the venom deep into his internal organs. At this point even breathing became difficult, and he seemed to be losing consciousness.

It was even a miracle to be alive at this point after sustaining this level of wounds, and he knew it. Had it been any other sorcerer, the perso would've died from just the strings alone.

His body wanted to give up, however he couldn't stop now, he could see it, the damn cursed spirit was still alive, just heavily wounded and trying to recover. He had to end this immediately.

Summoning the cudgel once more he turned towards the cursed spirit and let out a small smile, before he willed the cudgel to expand once more.

"You think you've won?" The cursed spirit spoke and glared at Kenshin who was preparing another attack. The left side of its large frame had almost been crushed by the overwhelming force but it was healing itself fast.

Seeing Kenshin cock back his cudgel ready to attack, a fierce glint flashed through her eyes, before she closed them. The moment she opened them, a terrifying chill erupted which served as no deterrent to Kenshin whose cudgel was just a few meters away from her face.

Before Kenshin's attack could land, his body was swallowed up a terrifying darkness and disappeared immediately from sight.
