Jason finds himself at his desk as his 'girlfriend' snores loudly on the bed, in the middle of the night. Obviously, he isn't stupid enough to right anything down, no plans, and no future knowledge.
If anyone gets their hands on that, he's screwed, and he inwardly prays the other versions of him aren't stupid enough to do so, but he does generate his plans within his mind.
'What to do... I can't be smarter than Rick, but I can be stronger... There isn't a lot that can give Rick a run for his money though, in fact, I'm confident, nothing can. With enough planning or just 10 minutes he can turn a situation right around' Jason sighs, beginning to go over any things that he remembers that can give him unrivaled power.
'Maybe I can become a Knight of the Sun? I will be literally unkillable then, but I don't feel like chopping off my dick... I cant even get to the sun, or stand there before getting turned to ash.'
'Maybe I can join the Galactic Federation... nah, that would be near impossible from Earth, the Earth I, at the moment, cannot leave. Plus, way too much restrictions to my movement.'
Jason quickly goes over many, many options, making sure not to discard them completely as plans, but instead to include them in the grander plan towards power.
And... eventually he lands on one final goal to work towards.
'Rhett Caan. Power so vast he can, heavy emphasis on "can", give Rick a run for his money in the right scenarios. Pretty much my best bet without advanced intelligence.'
Jason plans to somehow reach the Meta Reality, and steal Rhett Caan's power of retconning. Which he believes is possible with his level of intelligence, after all, Jason is smart, and could probably figure out space travel, teleportation and other such things.
"I need to be quick though. I know for a fact there are many me's with the same goal, and there is only 1 Rhett Caan, each with their own plan on how to do so."
He also knows for a fact the other versions of him, the second they get Rhett Caan's power, they would erase every version of Jason from existence just incase.
'After all, I would do that'.
'But first, I need to get off Earth, and reach Mars, there I can raid either the military base there, or Rick's base...' He obviously decides on the military base. Rick's base would vaporize him the second he steps foot in it.
'Then I should be able to travel much further with a better ship and weapons, and then I should be able to reach an alien world, where advanced technology can just be bought. Then I'll go from there'.

"Morning, Jason," Angel, greets him with a tired smile as she prepares for work. Her job at a local market doesn't start until nine, but she likes to get in early. "You're up early, or... did you even sleep?"
"Just wrapping up some stuff," Jason replies, forcing a smile. "Big project deadline coming up."
Angel nods, understandingly, though she looks concerned. "Don't drop dead. Remember, you promised we'd spend some time together this weekend." She grabs her bag and a jacket, flicking his forehead before giving him a quick peck on the cheek. Leaving the apartment.
"Of course," he calls after her, though his mind is already racing back to his tasks. Still kind of weird out at being loved so much by a person he could genuinely care less about.
Diving back into his work, he pulls up his current software project—a complex codebase that he, or rather, this version of him, had been developing. It's a web application, something to do with data analytics.
As he sifts through the code, he realizes that while his actual knowledge doesn't perfectly align with this version's skills, his foundational understanding of programming is enough to let him blunder through.
For the rest of the morning, Jason balances his time between his software duties and clandestine research on materials and parts he will need for his spacecraft. He of course, looks for a nearby library to heavily brush up on every corner of science.
Without readily access to the true expanse of physics, biology, and everything else, as is limited by Earth, he knows he will need to invent everything himself.
He also knows he needs funds—substantial amounts—to purchase or fabricate the necessary components for his journey.
By the time noon rolls around, Jason has mapped out a dual approach to solve his financial dilemma. The first involves leveraging his software skills in a more lucrative way. Freelancing and taking on high-paying, short-term projects could be a viable path. He starts scouting for freelance gigs, focusing on those that pay well and align with his current skill set.
The second approach is riskier—day trading. With his analytical mind, Jason figures he could use some of his savings to trade stocks or cryptocurrencies. It's volatile, but it could potentially accelerate his earnings far quicker than any coding job.
Cracking his knuckles, he prepares to pretty much gamble some money.
