After pampering Simon with hugs to confirm that I would not leave him, we continued to eat dinner. Only when we were cleaning up, did I receive a notification from the system.

[Warning murderous intent has been sensed]

[Warning: multiple enemies have been sensed]

[Mission: Protect your home: Kill 0/25 demons]

(Demons that too soon, then shouldn't appear in the human continent for another three years) I thought, looking at the message

"Simon, grab your daggers and get ready for a fight," I said

Hearing my order, he was surprised for a second before grabbing his daggers and standing next to me. Taking my book and staff out of my inventory, I looked for a spell to deal with multiple people at once.

[Skill: Heretic Sight[Lv.50]: Outlines all enemies in a 30-meter radius in red can see through any object]

[Skill: Thorn Jail[Lv.50]: Any enemies within a 20-meter radius will be held down by thorn vines that drain 1% of health every second]

Activating both of the spells, I felt more than half my mana get sapped away. The next moment, I could see outlines of different demons surrounding the cabin. Since they were all within the 20-meter limit, I used thorn jail to hold them down.

With them held down, I used the skill of flesh control and made their bones stab their hearts, killing them instantly.

x25[You have killed a low-level demon scout]

x8[You have leveled up]

[Your bone control has increased]

"Alright, Simon, I was able to deal with them," I said with a sigh.

"How master hasn't moved from his spot?" Simon asked

"I'm just that strong; wait here for a second. I will check something," I said, walking to the door.

Walking outside, I gathered all the demon corpses in one pile. Using flesh control, I caused 15 of them to explode and absorb their flesh. As my mana recovered, I opened my book to a skill that caught my attention.

[Undead Follower[Lv.50]: Allows you to revive corpses into a follower that will do your bidding]

Activating the skill, the ten corpses began to combine into pairs, turning into five blobs of flesh. Soon, they began to take shape. They turned into humanoid creatures. It didn't have any skin exposing its muscles, and long claws and pikes on their forearms were made from hardened bone; it also had a tail with a bone spike at the end.

x5 Flesh Warrior[Lv.10]

"So it takes two corpses to make one. I'm guessing if I combine for corpses, they would be stronger?" I asked the system

[Correct. Also these monster can be placed in you inventory]

"Good to know; this will make it convenient," I said, ordering them in my inventory.

Walking back into the house, I was met by Simon hugging me.

"...What's wrong, Simon?" I asked

"I was just worried about the young master," Simon said, burying his head in my chest.

"Thank you for worrying, but I'm fine. Let's just go to bed," I said, petting him.

"...Uhm...Uhm y-young master,"

"Yes, Simon,"

"...Do...do you think I could sleep with you,"

Hearing his request, I was shocked for a second, but when I saw his blushed face and the nervousness in his eyes, I gave him a small smile.

"Sure, you can sleep with me," I replied

Hearing my answer, I saw the biggest smile on his face. I went to my room and changed out of my dark priest clothing. Laying on my bed, I looked at the nervous Simon standing at the door with a pillow.

"Well, are you going to sleep at the door," I said

Nervously, he walked over to the bed and lay next to me. With a small laugh, I closed my eyes and tried to sleep. Not even a few seconds later, I opened my eyes to see Simon lying like a stiff board on the edge of the bed.

Giving a small laugh, I pulled him closer and placed my arms around him.

"MMM-master, what are you doing?" Simon asked with a red face

"It's cold; this will keep us from getting sick," I lied.

After a few minutes of being nervous, I felt his tense body relax as he fell asleep. Giving him a small kiss on the forehead, I closed my eyes and went to sleep.

The next day...

Waking up the next day, we ate breakfast and then went back to the city to answer more questions. We accepted the quests of killing armored boars, cleaning stables, and cutting down wood and spent the day completing them.

For the next few days, we continued this routine of grinding quests until I finally was ranked up to D-rank, giving me access to go dungeons.

After getting our dungeon access cards, we walked to a nearby potion store, where we bought ten medium health and ten medium mana potions.

"Young master, do you plan to find other party members?" Simon asked as we walked home.

"No, I already have a solution for getting team members," I replied

"Really, what is it?" Simon asked surprise

"It's a surprise," I said with a wink.

After spending the rest of the day relaxing, we went to bed early. Waking up before the sun came up, we went to the D-rank orc dungeon. When we reached the entrance, we were glad to see that no one had entered yet.

"Master, are you ready?" Simon asked

"Yes, let's not waste any more time," I said before we walked into the dungeon.
