Rabbit Hole

It was dawn. Jing Sheng with his subordinates and Xue Ne left for the capital city.

'Why is this world so small? This doesn't make any sense... not to mention this is a falt world.... first I need to become rank 5 doing so im assure things will become clear for.'

Jing Sheng was in deep though because the end walls didn't really made any sense to him, as well as the population of this world was somewhat small too.

'I also have to find out what laws have changed in this world compared to mine, will my life time accumulation of previous life be any useful in this world? The essence of this world is gu' Jing Sheng got worried.

'There is an option to refine gu worms… with the laws of my world and this world combine I have an intuition that it will have a superb effect! If I am able to translate my knowledge into this world's… it will be a scene to be hold..... something new'

A rare smile purely created out of Jing Sheng's emotion appeared on his face.

'My knowledge is insufficient I don't even have ordinary attainment realm for any of the paths…I even picked the gu worms because of the provided description'

'I see this world from another angle than these people so that is kind of an advantage for me…but their angle of seeing it is also important'

saying so he gave a glimpse to Chin Hwa who was ridding on a hump wolf beside him.

Jing Sheng wanted her to cultivate the refinement path because he also valued the stand point of the residence of this so-called gu world.

He also wanted to see this world like they did. It would give him more innovational ideas.

Jing Sheng was in deep thought when Xue Ne gave the signal to stop. From a single thought from Jing Sheng Shenron stopped.

It was a massacre.

A pack of wolf was all slaughtered. But there were no signs of battel including gu worms.

"It is likely to be a territorial fight between the beasts…but there are no other species corpses except the wolfs" Xue Ne assessed.

Jing Sheng gave them a signal and they all scattered looking for clues.

"Here! I have found a myriad beast king wolf!!" Kojika shouted.

The rest of them came running.

"This is the only myriad beast king in this pack…and only a few hundred beast kings… not a single thousand beast king so this myriad beast wolf must had been the strongest of the pack" Xue Ne said but paused.

She noticed something strange.

"This myriad beast wolf had just given birth!!" Xue Be exclaimed with shock

"Yes, you are correct" Jing Sheng said with a calm voice "But where are the new born cubs? They ran? Or got killed too…..if they got killed it should be near the mother look for the corpses"

"Why do we need to look for them?" Xue Ne thought that this request was somewhat strange.

"Just do it, it is just an intuition..." Jing Sheng said with a smile. It was a habit of his if he didn't want to explain something or could not he would just answer with a smile because there was nothing else he could do except smiling.

But the smile was all Xue Ne needed because she trusted her master Xue Zhang not to mention it was an order from a rank 4.

They all scattered and search all around the corpses but didn't found the newborn.

"Over here" Jing Sheng shouted

"Look at these tracks what could have made them?" saying so he pointed at the wrecked ground with fully visible paw tracks made on hem.

The beast had that much strength that when it ran it created a carter in the ground with deep footprints.

Saying so Jing Sheng convinced them to follow the tracks.

He came up with a logic that 'this thing is a hidden threat if we don't get rid of it and it finds its way to a village it would be disastrous' but in his mind was lurking the thought of that pink fox.

Following the tracks, they arrived at a big tree.

It was about 90 meters tall. It was a desolute plant corpse but of course Jing Sheng had no concept of desolute plant or beasts.

According to the information provided to him in this world Rank 5 was the strongest, there were immortals but they were all 'legends' and nothing else.

Jing Sheng unmounted Shenron and willed it to stay. There was a rabbit hole dug beneath the tree and it was gigantic!

Xue Ne and rest of them all started walking in to the dark hole.

After walking for few breaths of time the light from the surface was getting dimer and dimer and it was getting dark.

They all activated rank 1 scarlet illumination gu and the darkness lifted and scarlet light took its place.

Jing Shen was rich so he even bought other gu worms for his subordinates like scarlet illumination gu.

They walked for hours and reached a dead end.

Jing Sheng's heart started beating fast because within the few meters was lying death. Snorting in peace with no care in the world.

A small timid pink fox which by no means looked harmless except a open wound with a metal scrap in it on its belly and eye. The fox was sleeping with its back on the ground and its four paws and belly up.

You would even want to pet it if you saw it.

But Jing Sheng knew that under all that cuteness lies nothing but death and despair.
