chapter 18 refining

After sufficient preparation I succeeded in refining a new Gu. I was only able to refine this Gu thanks to the qi soil. Once I turned it all into qi dao water I was able to make qi wine with it thanks to wine Gu.

Using that qi wine as the main ingredient I created this small Gu. It was a gold octopus the size of a hand, it had only one tentacle that was constantly changing to different forms. Sometimes it was other animals parts, other times it was items like a sword or barrel It seemed completely random.

This Gu was a key support Gu not only for me but for many other immortals. In the past their was an immortal inheritance that was made public. Normally other immortals would take over it especially if it was in a clans territory but one of the prerequisites for this inheritance was to be a mortal.

At the time I was rank 4 and was no longer in my clan. So I was given the chance of obtaining the inheritance. Their was only one test to obtain the inheritance, but that one task was even Incredibly difficult for immortals let alone mortals.

The test was to refine this rank 1 Gu all the way to an immortal level Gu. The inheritance lasted over a year, thanks to my dedication I was eventually able to refine the Gu to rank 5. I knew though that I'd be unable to even try to refine it to rank 6.

So once I was given the rank 6 recipe by the blessland spirit I willingly left. Eventually a disciple of a refinement immortal obtained the inheritance.

Although I didn't get the inheritance I did gain the recipe of a Gu all the way to rank 6 and so did several others.

This Gu was technically of the the qi path but it is able to support all paths, even my undeveloped food path. It's name is qi shape Gu, able to take any shape and act as a vessel for just about any thing.

Thousands of killer moves were made thanks to this Gu, mortal and immortal. It simply was a top tier supporting gu, and it would have been used more if it wasn't thanks to its popularity that it's food became scarcer and scarcer. Making it less useable for many later on.

Qi shape's food was qi water and although there was a good amount of it. Thanks to qi shape Gu people began hoarding it especially immortals. So that they can either use it themselves or sell it for a high profit, but thanks to insatiable Drinkers inheritance liquid Gu could always provide me with any dao water including qi water. So this Gu became a key support Gu for me in many ways.

As I was thinking about my next set of plans a servant came to knock on my door.

Servant[ master Crim your parents have gathered the rewards you have asked for. They are in the backyard pen.]

Oh? The animals I asked for.... perfect. All the Gu I have are useful, but only steep tea gu was one of my core Gu. In my last life I only truly had four core Gu in my food path.

These core Gu will make my cultivation journey much smother, and unlike most other Gu I have several different killer moves for them and now that I have qi shape Gu even more so.

With that the servant took his leave, now before I use those materials I have to make one more Gu. Going to my closet I took two large vases and opened them up

Inside one vase was a lynx, chicken, frog, and a rat. The other vase had water and inside were some small fish, clams, and squids.

The animals were all hunted by jackal and I, right now their all sedated by some poison. As for the others I bought them, now to refine one of my core Gu.

Using qi shape Gu I created a cauldron and began my refinement. Adding in some herbs and primeval essence stones, and slowly adding in the animal's stomachs.

Slowly but surely a Gu began taking form. Normally refining Gu takes talent, experience, and luck, but this is one of my core Gu. Not only have I refined it several times, but I have even vastly changed its recipe. To increase its success rate and even simplifying it.

Theirs no way I could fail, with one last push I solidified the Gu. Succeeding in the refinement, the Gu was a small black fish with white eyes and several small white dots all over its body. It swam in the air as it went to my stomach forming a tattoo of it

Instantly any hunger I had disappeared and I felt incredibly full. As if I had eaten a full course meal and left nothing behind. Uhhhhh what a horrible feeling, I must rest now. I spent too much time refining my mentality is not at its peak. I can not refine more Gu unless I want to fail at it.

The next day I woke up everything was the same except for one thing, I was not at all hungry. Normally when one wakes up their at least a bit hungry, but I am not one bit hungry, and that's because of the Gu I made last night.

Now that some of my primeval essence has been restored, I can finally use it in my killer move. Activating my primeval sea essence I used qi shape Gu to form a hand, then I activated my new Gu and the color of the hand turned pink. Then I took out qi shape Gu from my aperture and finally used grip gu having the pink hand grab towards qi shape Gu, but instead of grabbing and destroying the Gu like one would think. It had grabbed something in the Gu, and it pulled out a pink colored aurora

I then stopped activating the Gu and it all disappeared. Damm that killer move took about 30% of my primeval essence, but it's worth it. The new Gu I made last night is called small appetite Gu.

It ability can lower the hunger of one living being. If used on the same rank Gu it can lower its food requirements by 15%. This is the true essence of food path to eat and feed.

As for its food it can be considered odd, it creates a unique environment in my body that feeds it. However a negative effect of using it is that it drastically reduces my hunger. Thus I'd have to literally force my self to eat or I'd starve, but this Gu has a counter part. I'll refine that Gu and one other first with the animals I asked for

As for the killer move I just used its called Tear Off Appetite. Able to lessen the food requirements of a Gu by 25% of the same rank.
