"Gotta say I thought it would taste worse because it wasn't human blood, but oddly enough the Gu doesn't discriminate." ~ 001 is doing two things by hunting, first is feeding his Gu, and second learning more about the wild plants of this world.

Suddenly twigs break behind him, twigs he had intentionally left behind so that no one could sneak up on him.

"Hey there! You're the new guy right?" ~ Lian Ren walks up to the corpse ~ "Yikes! That's a lot of blood! You must be new to this." ~ He then looks at 001's left arm, and one of his brows rises up ~ "Did you get injured?"

"Yup! Sadly that's life, you never know when something unexpected might happen." ~ 001 turned to Lian Ren and puts his arm behind his back ~ "But at least we can prepare for it." ~ A big grin shows on his face.

Lian Ren narrows his eyes. ~ "Well you're not wrong, but it's impossible to truly prepare for everything."

"Of Course! Thank you senior for your advice. . . Well if you don't mind, I will get back to hunting."

"Sure." ~ Lian Ren slowly turns around and walks away. ~ [I could have sworn I heard the sound of something being sucked]

With a deep frown and a quickly paling pace, 001 squats in front of the corpse and re-absorbs his blood.

"Well back to hunting!" ~ He didn't let it affect him for long and went back to hunting.

Xiong Mi Che raised an eyebrow ~ "Um, you said you hunted all these on your own?"

001 looked her in the eye, and she instantly corrected herself. ~ "5 Lightning Wolves, and a wild boar. 2 per a lightning wolf, and 3 per boar. Your payment is 13 primeval essence stones."

001 looked through a book. ~ "I heard the clan usually gives a large reward as a form of supporting newcomers?"

Mi Che gulped, "Of course, of course! How rude of me to forget, 2. . .3. . .4. . .10! 10 Primeval stones should do it!

"I believe I should also get a bonus for good handling, I returned them with most of their blood already drained"

001 had actually killed 3 boars and 13 Lightning Wolves, however, due to him being a rank-1 gu master, it would look quite suspicious if he had brought back that much with him.

"Th-then another 5 stones for handling?!"

Obviously, another 5 stones are too much.

As such 001 corrected her. ~ "Good handling can at best give another 10%, and depending on how poor the handling was done, you can make 0% to 99% of the original amount." ~ He then returned 3 primeval stones and a large piece of primeval stone.

The rules pertaining to a large bonus, were rather vague, if it was small, technically you could get double the mission as extra, and if large it was to be interpreted by the mission staff. And In a society mainly predicated on bloodline, nepotism was a big problem.

"Of course, you're absolutely right! I greatly apologize for my mistake!" ~ Mi Che took back the 3 primeval stones and a large piece of primeval stone.

Right when she was about to ask for the two Gu back, he was already gone. But instead of being angry, she slouched in her chair and let out a sigh of relief.

"You ok?" ~ Her partner Cas Hier was also on break when the 001 first came, but she had her break outside.

"Whatever you do Casy, don't anger that man!" ~ She was going to explain how that man had an aura about him but then she saw her boyfriend walking into the building ~ "Ex Tra you're here! Where have you been? I needed you!"

Ex Tra looked over Mi Che's shoulder at Cas Hier to ask what happened, but Cas Hier waved her hands signaling to just roll with it.
