It’s too late…

Time flew fast. Five years has gone by since that fateful day.

Aya now lives separately from her parents and have a successful career as one of the highest paying supermodel, veteran actress and cardiologist. While Maya succeed their family's business empire.

Two people who live a totally different lives. Their paths shouldn't have crossed at all, but fate was a bitch sometimes.

It all started one spring day when the flowers were in full bloom and warm winds were blowing. Aya met Wang Fan, who was also the fiancé of Maya.

It was an accidental meeting with no meaning aside from meeting a long lost childhood friend for Aya. But that day, the long deep feelings hidden inside Wang Fan started to re-awaken.

Since that day, Wang Fan can only think of Aya. And do things for Aya. And before Aya became aware of it he had already integrated himself in her daily life.

Slow at sensing that something's not right, Aya decided to have a final talk with Wang Fan at a prestigious Café near her workplace at one of their business buildings. Not wanting anyone to misunderstand their interactions, she decided to do it and end whatever it is Wang Fan's up to openly.

"Wang Fan, I think you should stop coming here... wherever I am. I know you meant well. It's been a long time. You were sorry and I accepted it. Yes, we have a lot of catching up to do... as friends. After all, we were close friends since we were little."

"But Fan, you are in a relationship with Maya since then, and, I don't want Maya to misunderstand us. Besides you're not just her boyfriend but her fiancé. You know how jealous she can be, right? So Wang Fan, you should be spending more time with her. Not me. Alright?"

"Aya but I lo-"

"Please Fan!" Aya cut Wang Fan's confession.

Yes. She finally notice his intentions but it was too late. They can never be together. It has been too long.

They had missed their chance before, but a missed a chance is still a missed a chance. She may have accepted and forgave him but it doesn't mean she'd forgotten the betrayal.

Aya was an optimistic and tolerant person to the point that she was often naive but time can change those things, especially after what she'd experienced, the Aya now is no longer the same naive girl that would easily go along. She was naive before but she was never stupid.

"It's too late…"

"Aya, you don't mean it! I know you still love me!" Wang Fan can't believe she rejected him! The Aya he knows would never reject him face to face!

Wasn't it the reason why she broke up with him through a stupid mail and avoided meeting him all this years because she can't forget about him?! He forgot the fact that he cheated on her and betrayed her all this years with Maya. He didn't even know that she 'knew' of that night.

Seeing Wang Fan's pathetic attempt at denial Aya thought, 'What have I liked about this guy again? I guess I was too childish and naive then. I was blinded and turned deaf because of his supposed sincere and sweet gestures, actions and sweet-talking!'

Sighing while she subconsciously pressed a finger on the space between her brows, 'I never thought I'd feel of thanking Maya someday but now…' Sighing again she thought, 'I guess… They deserves each other.'

"Aya —"

Seeing that Wang Fan was turning desperate she decisively left him after telling him off, while smiling confidently she left him with her farewell words, "I don't want anyone to misunderstand so don't contact me for any reason. Especially… for personal reasons."

"What we had was over a long time ago. I know ended it through a a simple mail but it wasn't because I was deluding myself of love."

"I simply doesn't want to see you after what happened that day. It wasn't because I was deeply in love with you and can't come to terms with it. Honestly, it might be the opposite."

"What we had... It ended before it even began, so let's just say it never happened. Wang Fan you should be contented."

"You and Maya suit each other. I'm happy for the both of you. May you have your well-deserved conjugation."

As those words sinks in through Wang Fan's mind… and heart, he felt an indescribable pain. He felt his heart was tearing to pieces.

He never realized it before, but he, Wang Fan have always been in love with Aya. It was her that makes his heart beat excitedly and it was also her who can cause him so much pain. Yes. He betrayed her. Cheated on her with her twin. But it wasn't because he was in love with Maya. He never was.

That day… Maya met him and told him Aya couldn't come because their parents left an important documents and needed it urgently and wanted Aya to come and bring those documents herself.

She told him Aya couldn't deliver those documents through carrier service because there were confidential things attached to it and their father only trust Aya regarding such documents so Maya was told to meet him instead.

It happened many times before and Wang Fan also knows how much the twin's father prefers and trusted Aya with their business so he only made a few calls to Aya to confirm, but since all his call were unanswered he took it as is and was instead thankful towards Maya.

He decided to hangout with Maya right then and there. They had a lot of fun and the date he prepared for Aya was being enjoyed by Maya instead.

He didn't even notice when their actions became too intimate and more than the usual subtle flirting.

Yes. He flirted with the two. Infact, he was attracted to the both girls.

Just imagine… Two faces with similar features but different auras and disposition. And so, he wavered.

As time passed by and evening came, with the aide of alcohol he did something he regretted.

He thought Aya wouldn't know because Maya assured him so, but before morning came he received a break up mail form Aya with a simple 'Let's break up and not meet each other again.'

She didn't state and outright rejected all his attempts to communicate with her. He was was hurting, indignant and full of disbelief.

He thought he was being played with by Aya because there was no way she would know about him and Maya. The twin's relationship wasn't close so, he was that confident he would never be found out.

Completely unaware that he was 'caught in the act' he decided to get back at her 'betrayal' with the help of Maya. And before he knows it, five years had gone by, and now, he was Maya's fiancé.

"Is it really too late?" Whispered Wang Fan but Aya had already left. The only things left for Wang Fan was regret and pain.

Unbeknownst to them, at a secluded corner in the café sat an elegant woman in a business suit. This woman was none other than Di Maya.

She followed her fiancé here out of her suspicions towards his actions this past few months. And she was right.

'He was here to meet that woman!' As those thoughts were running through her mind she heard their following conversations and her twin's rejection at the end.

One would think that she would be at ease after witnessing her twin's straightforward rejection of her man, but Di Maya is different from other women.

The moment she heard her and saw the indifference in her twin sister's eyes, she felt extremely mad! She felt like she lost to her again! Although there was really no competition in Aya's mind but it was the opposite for Maya.

Maya was always competing with Aya with everything. But no matter how hard she tried or how much sh schemed against her Aya always above her. Maya hated it. Even when Aya gave in to her or tolerates that only makes her hate her more and more. She felt like she was being pitied! She doesn't need charity!

'Why was she always better than me? Why does she always gets what and who I want?! I hate her… I hate her. I hate her!'

Maya thought she wouldn't get her chance but Wang Fan came into their lives.

It was a love at first sight for Maya but she can see that he wasn't attractive to her at first.

In fact, he was in love with Aya while her dense sister was completely unaware. So Maya schemed even more, plan everything to sabotage them.

'Wang Fan is MINE!' And so when she had the chance she took actions fast and Wang Fan totally fell right where she wants him to be.

But after five years nothing has changed.

Just one look at Aya and all the years she spent seducing and servicing Wang Fan goes down the drain! 'That witch!'

Maya couldn't hold it in anymore! She felt like she's going to be crazy if Aya still has a breath in her.

"No! I don't want to be the second best or an extra again! Father hasn't given up Aya. He still wants to entrust everything to that bitch!"

"And now Wang Fan's gonna leave me for her! I can see it in his eyes! He will. NO! No. I have to stop them. Right. Aya! Aya's just got to die!!! Hahaha!!!"
