Chapter 1

"Hey sis, I will be leaving for work now, you go to the kitchen and eat what I have prepared when you're hungry okay" Ariana said while her sister nodded at her

Her sister was the only family she had left, though she was half paralyzed and that made things harder for Ariana. She had to care for the well-being of both her and her sister, Merry.

She worked in a restaurant all day, her working time started at eight A.M and ended at Ten P.M.

She entered the restaurant and almost all the workers were already busy running around their business to set the place before customers arrived, but this time around her, it seemed like something wasn't right.

Ariana went to where her friend was working as a receptionist, who also was trying to set things up and arrange the place. 

"Hey Kelly," Ariana said

"Ariana, why are you just coming now?" Kelly asked, still concentrating on what she was doing.

"I had to sort out certain things at home, why is everybody cleaning everywhere as if the president of this country is coming?" Ariana asked looking around

"That's because the person more dangerous than the president of our darling country is coming" Kelly answered

" And who could that be?" Ariana asked, piquing interest.

" That I don't know, but right now I think you should go clean up your area to avoid problems from the heartless owner of this restaurant," Kelly said, urging her and Ariana nodded before leaving.

She was working in the VIP area of the restaurant. The restaurant wasn't the biggest one in New York but it was a place where bad boys come to flirt with girls and where some boys come for their business settlement. All in all, it wasn't a safe zone for young innocent people.

Ariana started cleaning up the place, she set the tables in order and began putting the flowers inside their vases and placing them on the tables when someone touched her and she sprained up

"Good morning madam" Ariana greeted

"Are you just coming in now?" Mrs Celine, who was the manager of the restaurant, asked.

" No ma'am, I was with Kelly, she was explaining things to me, she said we have an important visitor today," Ariana said, panicking.

" That's right, and the visitor will be attended to by you, today is going to be the first day he is coming here and a big day for us, please don't make things hard for me" Mrs Celine cautioned Ariana

" I won't ma'am, I will be careful" Ariana assured her, and Mrs. Celine left. Ariana heaved a heavy sigh of relief.

" Gosh, I hope I can be able to take care of this so-called Visitor, I don't want to lose my job" she muttered to herself and continued what she was doing

Everywhere was set, it was as if they were hosting a Christmas party, the VIP room was decorated with different kinds of ornaments, one would also say they were hosting a wedding inside the restaurant.

Everyone had finished what they were assigned to do and the visitor hadn't yet arrived. Ariana went to the store and played there for some time. She was tired and needed rest. She had told Kelly to inform her whenever the Visitor arrived, but now she needed to rest her mind.

Ariana had stayed in the store room for some time before Kelly barged in,

"Ariana, you're so dead, Mrs. Celine is looking for you and the visitor has arrived" Kelly Said

"I told you to tell me when he arrives, "Ariana said trembling in fear, she was going to lose her only source of income

" I didn't get to see him on time, go to the wine room and get the best wine, and head to the VIP room, when Mrs Celine sees you with the wine she won't get angry" Kelly suggested and Ariana left immediately running.

She headed to the wine room and got a red wine which was one of the best wines, she placed it in a tray and headed up to the VIP room, she thanked her stars that didn't meet Mrs Celine on the way. She knocked on the door but got no response. Since the door was open, she assumed the almighty guest was showering and decided to drop the wine by the bed stand. She slowly entered inside, almost not making a sound.

"Where is Ariana!"Mrs. Celine kept yelling downstairs

" Mrs. Celine, she is attending to the Visitor already," Kelly said coming out from where she had called Ariana

"Okay! Send some drinks to Ariana to serve him"Mrs Celine said

"Ariana has done that already ma'am," Kelly said and Mrs Celine nodded and left having nothing else to say.

Ariana walked inside the room and saw the figure but he was backing her, she couldn't see his face.

"Good day sir, your wine is here, should I pour it out for you" Ariana asked but the man in front of her didn't even turn back nor uttered any word

"Are you expecting anyone to join you?" She asked again

"I was but the person is already here, why would I wait again"She heard the husky voice of the man.

That voice sent a shiver down her spine, she didn't know why but she started trembling in fear

"There's no one in the room again" Ariana managed to say

" That's because you are the one am waiting for," The man said and turned, losing her balance Ariana fell her butt to the floor

"Za…Zain, what are you doing here" She stammered

"Are you surprised to see me here, you have grown up into a beautiful woman?" He said walking close to her

" Sta…Stay away from me, you bastard" Ariana said standing up

" What did you just call me? Ariana!!" Zane said and went closer to her, She moved back. The further she tried to go, the closer he got and didn't stop until she hit the wall with her back. There was no other place for her to run to. Today surely is her end. She wouldn't get to see her sister ever again, She wouldn't get to give her sister the life they ever wanted, She was going to die in the hands of this devil…
