Chapter-7

I lie in my bed and look at my phone when a notification popped up. It was an e-mail from someone.

I go t my desk and open up my laptop to read it.

Hey there, My name is Lugh Melgren and I believe that you are my student ambassador for the student exchange program. I have received your e-mail address from the school and I wanted to inform to you that I am looking forward to making your acquaintance and hope we have a great time this coming week.

I was literally speechless reading the e-mail. Who was this guy? His first name and last name sounds like he is from a freaking royal family. And the way he wrote the e-mail was like an invitation to a royal ball!

I don't know why but I immediately take a screen shot and send it to Emma.

Two minutes later she texts back with the same reaction as me

We ended up texting until I sent him an e-mail back.

Hello! It is nice knowing you and I too hope we have a great time together. My name is Julia Haywood and I would love to give you a tour tomorrow when we meet. I look forward to meet you:)

I hit send and quickly regret sending that e-mail. What if he thinks I'm not up to his standards? What if he doesn't like me? Ugh I hate feeling anxious like this.

I shut down my laptop and try to fall asleep.

I should be able to deal with this tomorrow. Right?

I ended up waking up early as I remembered that I had a bio assignment incomplete so I used my time doing that. I couldn't stop thinking about yesterday. About Austin. I still get butterflies whenever I think about him. I check my phone to a message from Austin;

Good Morning!

I can't stop thinking about you. I wanna see you later after your school ends.

Hope you have a nice day❤

I blush so hard and keep rereading the messages. I love the beginning of a relationship, how we are all over each other.

I realized that looking at his text for this long and fantasizing about him made me late and I couldn't finish my assignment. Just as I've done packing my bag, I head downstairs to grab something to eat before I leave for school.

I reach school just in time and wait near the building for Lugh, the exchange student. Not gonna lie but the impression he gave yesterday with the e-mail kind of makes me nervous.

I see a crowd near the gate so I walk towards it to check it out. Just as I make it there a really posh looking car goes off. I'm guessing that's what caught people's attention. I wonder whose it is. Since there were many people, I was walking backward to get away and just then I bump into someone and almost trip.

We both fell and that person fell on top of me. I was mad and just as I was about to push them off of me I see a name tag reading LUGH.

"Oh shit I'm so sorry. I really didn't see you there." He says

I just look at him for a second but that second lasted for a long time. He immediately gets off of me and held out a hand. I politely refuse it and get up on my own. The jocks nearby start making kissing noises and later leave.

"I really am sorry. I don't know my way around here and I guess I just-"

"It's alright Lugh, I understand" I say smiling at him

He looks confused and kinda creeped out. I then realized that he doesn't know that I figured out who he was.

"Oh I know your name cause well firstly because of your name tag and secondly cause I'm Julia, your student ambassador" I say trying to reassure him

He gives out a relieved sigh and held his hand out for me to shake it.

"Well then Julia It's nice to officially meet you."

"Yeah same here"

"I hope I didn't hurt you. What a nice first impression huh?"

"Yeah your first impressions are well how do I put it.....nerve wreaking?"

"Oh how so"

"Well first your e-mail which was so formal and I actually got a feeling that you were from a royal family not to forget you name also sounds like that" I say

He was quite for a while and that got me nervous. Did I offend him some way? Shit Shit. Why did I say that?

After few seconds he burst out laughing.

"I'm sorry but I am completely opposite than what you think." He says still laughing.

"It's true that my name is different and not that commonly used. It's an Irish name. My mom gave it to me; she says my name translates to Light. She's Irish and my dad is American so that makes me half Irish and half American. And I don't live in a palace if you are wondering." He says as he chuckles a bit.

"Wow I didn't know that. I feel like such an idiot for saying it out loud."

"Don't be. I like people who are honest about their thoughts."

I just stare at him. Our eyes were fixed on each other when the first period bell rings.

"Shit" I say out loud.

"Oh are we late?" He asks

I forgot that on Monday's we have bio as first period and I haven't finished my assignment! I was so screwed. I made a pact to myself to get my grades up and I already seem to fail at it. That's when I realized that I was supposed to give Lugh a tour of our school. That means I get to skip first period!

"Never mind I realized that I was supposed to give you a tour of our school and so I guess we are safe till then" I say to him

"Shall we begin?" He says

I spent almost 2 hours giving Lugh a complete tour of our school. We had to attend a small seminar about the whole exchange program. It was boring, I noticed that they were many other exchange students but they didn't seem to be that acquainted with their student ambassador. Unlike the other students, Lugh seems pretty friendly and has a wicked sense of humor; we got along pretty well despite our not-so-good first impressions.

He hasn't had a chance to meet Emma yet and she has been texting me nonstop about him. I can't believe that she asked me to take a selfie with him because there's no way I'm going to embarrass myself by saying, "Um Lugh, would you mind taking a quick selfie with me so that my best friend can see if you're hot or not."

After Lugh and I completed the tour, I showed him his locker and his timetable for the rest of the week. Fun fact, we have bio together. I told him to text me if he had any questions about anything.

He had to leave school early for a dentist appointment, so I walked him to the main entrance. We agreed to meet tomorrow morning at my locker and head of to class.

I was already exhausted but I still had 3 more hours to survive in classes. I was about to leave for my next class when Emma pops out of nowhere and gives me a scare.

"Jesus Emma, please don't ever do that again."

"Where is he?" she asks while looking around me

"Yeah about that he had to leave early. A dentist appointment he said."

"Whatttt. No I have been dying to meet him! I heard in the hallways that there was a really hot guy and I was guessing it was Lu-Le what was his name again?"

"Lugh." I say annoyed

"Yes him. What's he like?"

"Really fun actually. And get this we share the same wicked humor."

"Oh god. Now I'm having second thoughts about meeting him."

I roll my eyes at her.

"I'm late. Don't you have a class?"

"Nope. I've had enough boring classes for the day so I'll just go to the nurse room."

"Fine. Enjoy being around sick people." I say and leave.
