War Part Six

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING CHAPTER HAS BLOOD AND GORE.

I put enough distance between Ryder and I so I can check on Syn. I sent Crimson after her and gave him an order to get her back to the castle where it was safe. I smile seeing him fly over the wall with her and turn back to Ryder. I raise my blood blade just in time to block his blow.

I grit my teeth and push back with my power. This was starting to get annoying.. I activate the rest of my runes and feel the ground under us begin to shake as the power pours through me. Ryder grits his teeth and steps further back trying to step away from my growing power.

"I've had enough playing Ryder.. Come, let's end this." I say splitting my blood blade into dual blades. I spin them around in my hands and give him a dark, promising smile. He returns it with his own and pulls more of the dark power to him. "Yes, let's end this.." Ryder says in return.

I shift in front of him and bring my blades down and out causing Ryder to grunt in shock as he tries to block the blow. I headbutt him in the face and I smile when I hear the satisfying crunch. I shift behind him and kick him causing him to stumble forward.

As he stumbles he twist and brings his blade up trying to catch me off guard. I lean back with a grin and watch as the blade flies by my face. I feel my eyes lighting up with the building power and knee him in the chest. He spits out a mouth full of blood and stumbles back holding his chest. I smile when I see his broken nose.

"What's wrong Ryder? I thought you sold your soul and all that.." I say in a mocking tone. "You might want to look into getting a refund." Ryder glares at me and wipes his nose as he slowly straightens. He lifts his left hand and I watch as dark, cold power shoots up from the ground and into him.

I watch as his nose quickly fixes itself and he regains his dark smile. "Oh I wouldn't be so quick to judge Rune.. I'm just warming up." Ryder says as he rolls his shoulders. I begin activating the runes I quickly marked around us on the ground and watch with satisfaction as Ryder's smile quickly disappears when he realizes what I'm doing.

"Really? Me too." I say with a smile and watch as the ground around us gives off a bright golden light effectively cutting Ryder off from his dark power. Golden chains lift from the runes and wrap around Ryder's arms and legs. He struggles against them as I slowly walk to him.

"Did you really think you were strong enough to go against me? I was born long before you were Ryder, you know this and yet you still provoke me." I say slowly making my way to him. His black eyes look wild as he fights against the golden chains and looks to me with growing fear.

"Even if you sell your soul a thousand times it still wouldn't be enough.." I say and release a comand to the golden chains. The chains then pull causing him to drop his sword and fight to keep his arms and legs. "You should have never touched her.. you shouldn't have even looked at her!" I yell and watch the strain on his face grow.

I wrap another chain around his neck but I'm careful not to let him choke... no, I want him to suffer. I suddenly feel something at the edge of my formation and look over to find his minions trying to break in to help him. I give a cold laugh and suddenly everything that touches the egdes instantly goes up in flames.

Hearing the cries of pain only adds to my blood lust. I turn back to Ryder and decide it's time to bring this to an end.. I wanted him and his men gone. I lift a finger and watch as his right arm is ripped from his body covering us both in his blood. He screams out in pain as I flick another finger and watch without blinking as his left leg is ripped off.

He stagers but the remaining chains help hold him in place. I lift up my hand and look at the blood covering it with a frown. "Even your blood has turned black.. You've broken so many ancient laws Ryder.. even if you had not touched Syn.. It would only be a matter of time before you were killed for your crimes." He lifts his face and snarls at me.

I lift my hand to his face and release a binding rune. I watch as it burns itself into his face and he screams in pain. He's become something more than just fae.. and I don't want him ever returning. I don't want him to ever have another chance at hurting Syn. With this mark I can rest in peace knowing that when I kill him, he'll stay dead.

I wave my hand and watch as his remaining arm and leg are ripped away. My runes are keeping him alive and awake so he can feel every moment of this. He falls back gasping in pain and I walk over him straddling his mangled body. I tilt my head to the side watching him without an once of pity.

"I will send you to hell and hell is where you'll stay." I say lifting my hand and pooling all my power into it. His black eye's watch me and he gives me a dark look. I bring my hand down and strike his chest releasing my power in one powerful blow.

Ryder screams again as I watch my power flow through him in streaks of golden light. His black eyes begin to smoke as it fights against my power but I know it won't win. His body starts to break down bit by bit and the wind begins to carry the black, feather light peices away.

He stops fighting it and begins to laugh. The laugh sounds insane as he throws his head back. I frown at the fae wondering what he finds so funny. His head suddenly snaps back to me and his laughter dies but the creepy smile remains on his bloody face as he says "If hell is where I'll stay then I'll just drag her to hell with me.." What remains of him quickly disapears as I'm left with a cold dark feeling. His words.. they had better be just words.. Or I will follow her to hell and drag her out.

I try my best to shake the feeling off and release the circle around me. It was time to end all this. I look around at the battle taking place and I'm pleased to see most of Ryder's men dead or dying. It seems that when I killed Ryder all his evil creatures went with him. I take a step but stop and look back to the place where Ryder died. He better stay dead.. DEAD dead.
