War Part Five

I turn to look for Rune and feel my world spin. I lift my hand up to my spinning head and try my best to stop the spinning but it doesn't help. I slightly shake my head and feel Fig nearly lose his grip. "Are you okay?" I ask holding Fig up.

"Everything is spinning.." Fig says holding my hand. I frown and wonder why him and I are both dizzy. I pick him up and slip him into the front of my dress and say "I know this isn't ideal but I need to put you in here so I don't lose you." He grunts but agrees.

I grit my teeth and steady myself the best I can. When I catch sight of Rune and Ryder I take off running. I dodge in-between the mass groups of fae fighting to the death and try my best not to think about what I see and step on from time to time. I'm pretty sure that was someone's head... Don't think about it, don't think about it..

I finally get clear and take off at full speed. I'm half way to Rune when something hits me from behind and I'm suddenly lifted up by my shoulders. My stomach flips at the speed. I twist around to find a large and fierce dragon carrying me.

I look back down and find my world spinning again. Though I don't know if it's from my head or the height we're at. I look back up to the dragon and find it looking back at me. For a second I thought it might have wanted to eat me but I quickly dismiss the idea.

I see quite a few dark fae riding dragons so I assume they're on our side... Why had it picked me up? "Umm... nice dragon... Can you please put me down?" I say with a forced smile. The dragon snorts and lifts me higher turning towards the castle.

"No, no, no! Wrong way! I need to go back the other way!" I yell but the dragon seems to be completely ignoring me now. I think about struggling but I don't want to end up as a pancake. Every time I try to use my powers I'm hit with another dizzy spell.

So I decide to try again "You stupid overgrown, flying lizard!!! Put me down!!" I yell and I suddenly find myself falling. I try to use my powers only to find myself becoming dizzier and a splitting headache hits me. I flip around a few time before I level out and look down at the fast approaching ground. Well... I guess he gave me exactly what I asked for..

My stomach was doing summersaults and I would totally be screaming if I wasn't holding my breath. As I get so close, I can see all the gory details of the battle I'm suddenly snatched up again. My stomach flips again at the speed and I'm pretty sure I'd be throwing up if I had anything in my stomach...

I look back up at the dragon with a glare and find the thing smirking! Smirking! My glare intensifies but I keep my mouth shut. I was a quick learner.. No need to piss the big dragon off again. As soon as he puts me down I'll just make my way back. My stomach starts to flip again as it suddenly dives down behind the castle wall.

I squeeze my eyes shut as the ground below comes rushing up to me at a neck breaking speed. The dragon suddenly drops me right above the ground and I come to a rolling stop. I flip myself over and on my back panting. "Are you okay?" I ask reaching for Fig and he weakly pops his head out and nods.

I frown and look him over. I don't feel well but that's because of everything that's happened lately.. Was he connected to my power? Didn't he say something about that when we first met? What does that mean for him? Would I hurt him if I keep using my powers? My frown grows as he closes his eyes and lies down on my chest. "Fig?" I ask in concern and my heart drops when he doesn't answer.
