Chapter 4: 5th stage of Body Tempering Realm

[Demon Beast Forest]

Lennox spent a few days hunting down demon beast of the 3rd Rank. But this time it was easier. With his abilities in place he caused fear to rise on the lower rank demon beast.

His body's requirements rose as well. For example. Before breaking through to the 5th Stage, he needs a lot of strong demon beast bloodline. But it wasn't so easy to get them.

When Lennon fought against a Sword Spiked Tiger of the 3rd Rank, it was really tough. His origional three swords were in the brink of breaking.

At this moment.

Pant pant pant.

Panting sounds swept. There was a young man on top of a deceased demon beast panting heavily. His body had very little scars on it and small streaks of blood was seen. The demon beast was completely dead.

It was a 3rd Rank Demon Beast, the Sword Spiked Tiger. But this one had five swords on it's back. It was a mid-rank demon beast.

On the ground, there two swords completely riddled with cracks. "I almost died on this one he said." This tiger seem to be more intelligent and experienced than the others.

When he met it, it had turned around as if it was about to flee like all the other beasts that Lennon had killed. But he was dupped.

The tiger had turned around and used two of it's sword Spikes to launch long range attacks. That was how Lennon almost died.

He was grazed by this swords and made a counter attack. His swords broke like glass when they faced this tiger's swords. After all the swords broke, Lennon ran to get the two swords that the tiger attacked him with. This time, he was lucky. These swords were strong enough to defend against the other spikes.

The battle was fierce and deadly. The Sword Spiked Tiger died after being impaled with its who old sword Spikes. This battle had exhausted Lennon a lot.

Not after killing this demon beast, he took a rest for a few hours, before devouring it's blood.

His face twisted in pain when he absorbed this blood. Even though it's beastly nature was gone, it was a lot stronger than the other beast blood he refined. So he felt pain coming from his muscles being unable to bare it.

But that didn't mean, it was impossible to absorb it. He just had to do it slowly. He needed to control his [Devour Ability]. Lennon stopped absorbing for a moment and waited for the muscles to adapt before continuing. This time however, he took things very slow. His small black vortex became even smaller like a wind vortex as he absorbed the beast blood. After absorbing the beast blood for the first time, now his muscles were more adapted to that blood. The muscles strengthened a lot as they devoured the blood.

The [Absolute Purification ability was not just purifying the beast blood of it's beastly and demonic nature, but it was getting rid of all it's impurities and leaving a pure untainted blood to be absorbed by the body.

This is beneficial for Lennon, because, the outer the blood that he uses, the easier the cultivation when he enters other higher realms of cultivation.

At this moment.

Boom. An explosion rang out. Lennon's muscles reached a newer a higher level than before. He had broken through to the 5th stage of Body Tempering Realm. After absorbing so many demon beast, he now was truly in the muscle Refinement Realm. As long as he refined more, he will undoubtedly reach a new height.

As soon as the body broke through , the small black ball also grew. Lennon was surprised by this. " Could it be that my [Devour Ability] grows with me." He thought. " Or is it that if I keep using it more often, it will grow with me as well." He felt like that was the answer.

Bang. His fist landed on the skull of the deceased demon beast.

Crack Crack crack.

Spider web-like cracks appeared on the skull under the furry skin. Lennon felt happiness in his heart. His strength improved. Now, he pulled out the swords on the dead corpse. These sword were strong enough to help him hunt down a few more beasts.

This time, Lennon didn't devour the bone marrow, instead, he left the bones on a tree and ate the muscles.

He left to continue his hunt. What he didn't even realize was that, the beast he just killed was a descendant of a sacred beast called, the Infinite Saber Tiger. It could launch long distance attacks so powerful that even archers would run for their lives.

He didn't know anything, but he just absorbed that bloodline and strengthened his body. If he gets children, his children will also be born with this bloodline. That is so why cultivators in this world can have beast bloodline.

Who would say a demon beast mated with another one and gave birth to a human?. Demon beasts are much superior to humans in many terms other than wisdom, so the only way a human can have beast bloodline is by refining it after obtaining it somewhere or by being born from a human and beast. With the superiority in bloodline, the beast bloodline would become dormant and cause the child to be born like a half human, half beast with the ability to use their bloodline power.

Now that Lennon got this bloodline, he can give it to his descendents or use it for himself. But this bloodline was too thin for him to use.

He continued to hunt for many more days and got more beasts. But these beasts had a weaker quality of blood. Lennon was disappointed. " I have to find a stronger beast." He said. He felt like something was going to happen, so he had to be ready fo whatever was coming for himself.

Devouring all the Beasts and eating their meat, he felt gratified to be living around his food. To people in the outside world, he would be called a monster.

Who would look at the Demon Beast Forest as a feast for themselves. The Demon beast forest has a lot of beasts and monsterous beast's live deeper inside the forest.

The outside world was peaceful. Occasionally, over the past years low Rank Demon beasts would rampage and attack the villages and areas near the demon beast forest. This was something that everyone had expected to happen this year too. But no beast came out.

No one knew that these demon beasts had met their match.

A monster in the making.
