Fairy Crystal

Beta Read By - XxNaRutoUcHiHaxX, Agni_Ravan_Asura

This...child is unlike any of my previous customers. While most of them are from other worlds they are still humans, with the exception of Kirito who's some type of virtual lifeform, but at least he's human in appearance.

However, Serie is different, not only is she from a different species, but a very popular race known as the elves. There is sooo much por- ahem, sooo much lore about them.

They may be fictional in my world, or an extinct species, but they are very real in other worlds, Serie is living proof of this.

Before I began the questioning, I thought of something. "By the way, before we start. Do you have a preference of what food you want to eat?"

It's an important question because from what I've read about elves before, which is just a bunch of Manga, they are mostly vegetarian with the exception of hentai where they gobble up meat.

Serie looked thoughtful and then said. "It's been a long time since I've eaten a dish called fried wyvern pig."

A what..?

Why the fuck would anyone combine wyvern meat with pig meat? Or is it a crossbreed between a Wyvern and a pig? Or the name of the species? I have no fucking idea what that dish is.

Serie rested her chin on her right hand propped up her feet on the table and said. "If you have no idea what it is then you can cook anything you think is good, don't worry about my previous request, after all, there's hardly anyone who knows about that dish anymore. Not to mention most of its ingredients including the most important one, the wyvern pig are long gone. It's been several hundred years since I've seen one alive."

Aight, several hundred? So she's not a child then. Either she's just one of those types of women who just appear young or the elves of her world all just appear like this.

However what irritated me was that from the tone of her voice, she was expecting this kind of outcome, which irked me a bit, it was like she was looking down upon my establishment like it was just a normal restaurant.

Maybe if I didn't have access to the store, then I might give up and forget about it, but right now. I have the means to get what her desired dish is.

Opening up the system, I started to scroll through the system's store and searched for the dish she was looking for and was surprised to see that the dish was an EPIC rarity.

Aren't wyverns like, immature dragons or something? Why the hell is it only EPIC? Shouldn't this be legendary or something? Not to mention, it somehow isn't as expensive as the ( Century Soup ).

Just what type of soup is this???

Nevertheless, even if it is cheaper than the century soup, it is not something I can afford right now, and even if I could, I don't think ill make this free for her. Even though I did say that the meal is on the house. I don't think that I can do that with how expensive this dish is.

Letting out a resigned sigh. "It's not like I don't have it, however, I can't access it with my current fund."

Serie looked surprised at my revelation. "You possess the dish?"

"Yeah, it's just expensive-"

"I don't care, tell me the amount you need and I'll pay for it."

Serie cut off my words and looked serious as she realized that I could get her desired meal.

"Are you sure..? I mean-"

"I hate repeating myself, and yes. I don't care how much it is to you, I can afford it." While saying so, she took out a beautiful-looking crystal and placed it on the table.

"I heard that humans find this valuable, if you truly can get the dish I want, then I am willing to add more of these if it's not enough."

I took the beautiful crystal and the system showed me what exactly this thing is.

[ Fairy's Crystal ]

If the name didn't surprise me, the description of the item did.

According to the description, this crystal is the result of a deceased fairy after their mana is completely condensed.

While the start of the description was a bit weird, The benefits provided by the crystal were immense. It says that since the crystal itself contained a ridiculous amount of mana. It says that it could power an entire kingdom for many years without a problem.

As it could power plenty of magic-based items, I'm guessing that mana is like electricity and the people of that world use it to maintain things.

No wonder it was valuable, normally this thing is useless to me, because I don't know how to use magic and all. But thankfully I could convert it into cash, or store points.

1 point is 1 yen in equivalent.

It works like a bank but with no taxes. It's a win-win situation for me.

As I converted the ( Fairy Crystal ) it disappeared from my palm.

Serie leaned a bit forward, perhaps curious about how I did it, but she didn't say anything about it.

Then my eyes almost popped out of my bloody sockets as I saw the numerical value of the item after I converted it.

It was a billion!

To be exact it's 1,390,450,000.

She could buy that dish a hundred times over and there would still be some leftover money.

What the hell, I mean I expected it to be valuable but this is just a ridiculous amount of sum.

It's the highest amount of money that I held, although it's not mine. It's still an overwhelming experience.

"Is there a problem?"

Serie's words managed to snap me back from my earlier shock.

"No, no, not at all. It's just overwhelming to see how valuable that crystal is, actually with its value you can have hundreds of the dishes you wanted and there would still be some money left." I told her honestly, just in case she had a lie-detecting spell. Also, I wouldn't lie about something like this, I prefer not to scam my customers.

But from the looks of it, she couldn't care less and told me. "I don't care about the money, it's something unnecessary to me, after a decade and a dozen more, money will always change. It isn't anything of value to me. You can have the rest of it, so can you give me the fried wyvern pig?"

I was about to say something about it, however, it was stuck in my throat as Serie was looking at me with a gaze that sent shivers down my spine. I did remember that she hates repeating herself after a while I relented. "Alright, if that is what you wish."

Oh right, I completely forgot about one thing.

*SMACK*

"KYAA?"

"FEET OFF THE TABLE!"

"Grmhmh..!"

Making some sort of gremlin noise, Serie lowered her feet from the table and started caressing them. The lion, the witch, and the audacity of this bitch, FEET on the TABLE in MY RESTAURANT?

"...interesting."

She murmured something, that I didn't catch, but as a chef, I couldn't care less right now. I too, want to see the dish of another world.

And so, I immediately bought the dish. Although it was a shame that I wasn't able to cook it myself, maybe I'll try it next time.

After purchasing the fried wyvern pig, a dish appeared on the counter. It was placed in a massive bowl. The aroma and the texture of the delicacy were appetizing.

I took it and served it to her, though after looking at the size of the dish and the size of her body, it made me wonder if she could even finish it by herself. After all, this bowl is way too much for a single person.

But it wasn't the time to ask such a question, because it would ruin the mood, especially when she looked this excited upon seeing the dish.

"Here's your meal," I said as I placed it on her table.

I saw her smiling, and I couldn't take my eyes off that smile. There was just something so mesmerizing about it.

'Beautiful.'

I shook my head and thought. 'Nope, let's not think about it, I should avoid having affection for someone I just met. There's no way I'd have a chance, because she's way older than me, to her I'm probably just a toddler.'

Aside from the depressing thoughts I was having, I was looking forward to seeing her reaction.

-Serie POV-

What a strange place she stumbled upon, when Serie first discovered this building she thought some powerful entity was the culprit of such a thing, after all the amount of mana she felt when this building or perhaps restaurant appeared right next to her home was…divine.

The mana in the air was so dense that even Serie felt that she was about to suffocate when she first felt it. It was a staggering amount of mana that could wipe out all the life on her planet entirely, it was a scary thought.

At first, she thought that it was the work of demons, but she ceased the thought as it was impossible for demons to do such ridiculous things without her noticing.

To gather this much dense mana in a short period, was something only possible for a powerful entity akin to a god.

Serie excluded the so-called Goddess Of Creation because she knew that person personally as someone from the mythical age. The goddess of creation isn't a divine being, but an elf like her. Humans thought of her as a goddess at that time because of the magic she used.

Her name was Vivian, and she was Serie's teacher, but her name was long forgotten throughout history, however, her title remained, Serie is the only person in this world who probably remembers her master's name.

Anyway, she investigated the 'building' for a while, looking for something that could endanger the world, but after looking for a while she figured out that there was nothing dangerous about the building aside from its vital protective enhancement mechanism to protect the building and whatever was inside it.

Well maybe calling it a mere enhancement was a bit of a stretch, there is no way for anyone or anything could harm the building or any people that would be inside the very building.

With that in mind, she didn't hesitate to go inside the place as she was confident of her safety, whoever was inside the building wouldn't be able to harm her and the same thing applies to her.

And what she saw inside definitely wasn't what she was expecting, a restaurant of all things?

How intriguing.

A/N: The next chapter is still going to be her POV, and some of you may already realize that she's going to be part of the main character's relationship since I've already decided so.

This is going to be a harem since I'm the author and I feel like being in a Multiversal type fanfiction without harem is weird.

Also, the maximum number of females that would be in the MC's harem is 7.

Having more than that doesn't make sense and is too much for my taste.

Also, each one of the girls that will be part of his harem won't suddenly drop their panties, made a 360 personality change by just having a single conversion or falling in love from the first sight of things.

I will write about their ever-growing affection with every interaction, so it would take quite some time before there would be romance as this story is mostly dedicated to the restaurant.

There would also be conflicts, but only in the future, for now, I'd focus more on the characters that will be added as a customer.

Support me on P@.treon, even if it's just for a month I'd be really grateful.
