Lucky Old Cat
I've been reading this novel for months...calmly waiting for the next day's chapter though it's just 3 chaps per day...yet here it is...on webnovel..going premium...though it says it's gonna be dual hosted and get released on both site simultaniously...wth man...webnovel is trying everything to gain profits huh..well played webnovel..wellplayed..you too translator..F word to all those lies you told few weeks ago. Truly am dissapointed.
Coming off my last review, I have finally given up hope of the author in having any common sense at all. Positive thing is that the author has severely reduced his sl*tty portrayal of females in the story, apart from Sharlyn. Other than that, the author is blatantly not considering how the other players even get their Lvls so fast when they do not reach the capabilities of the members of Zero Wing. Take this for example. During the Crusade Quest, the core members of Zero Wing manage to occupy the Top 100 Ranking List of players. They were Lvl 22 and above, as stated by the author. The previous No.9 was Tyrant who was Lvl 21(was annoyed at how he even got Lvl 21 too). The author even stated that the 1 lvl diff in Lvl 21 and 22 were like heaven and earth. Any player would have to grind for long periods to get to Lvl 22. Yet only after a few days, there are players who already reached Lvl 24. Amazing farming rate, even better than Zero Wing or MC. Though you can say that most spent time trying to complete their Class Change Quest, it was at most 2 days. Yet those.Lvl 24 players, who in theory cannot even defeat Lvl 30 NPCs, which MC helped Zero Wing with their upgraded Equipment to defeat, somehow gained so much Exp in a short timeframe. All because the author wants to create an "underestimated protagonist" scene for the 5v5 Duel in the Arena. Better still, one of the players already has full FineGold Equipment and a DarkGold Weapon. MC doesnt even have full FineGold Equipment. At this point, to not have MC be too far ahead of the other players, he has to resort to plucking numbers out of the sky and use them as the player Lvls. All without consideration of how these players would even obtain such high Exp. Seriously, if you are looking for consistency in this story, especially if player Lvls are a must for you, be prepared for a lot of blood puking, because it is a sh*t show out there. I have no idea how many times I have raged over this matter. You can say that maybe Im too into the details of the story and need to chill out and enjoy it from a different perspective, but details are what make the story. Consistent details are the ones that make a good author distinguish from a bad one. I can already forgive the author for blatant plagiarism from different Animes such as SAO and Log Horizon. Even OnePunchMan (wait till the Big Dipper Training Centre part). Just be aware if you want to read this story.
Trash tier novel with short premium chapters. Half of each chapter is just redundant descriptions that slows the pace to a crawl and fills up the word count. The MC was a sub par player in a no name guild in his previous life and yet, somehow he becomes an OP god. Everyone he recruits are future gods but they constantly rely on MC to git gud. Every antagonist is so thin skinned and one dimensional. Any altercation with MC starts a war with a super duper guild. But super leet ultra instinct OP god MC always hidden card in his sleeve. So much trash. Dropped.
I'm writing this review on April 26, 2021. This book finished today. It's honestly been such a long time since I first started reading this book 3 years ago, and I wanted to write a review to help commemorate that period of time. Now, before I start my official review, I want to say this: This book is by no means a good book. It has a sleuth of issues, but it holds a special place in my heart as it introduced me to this genre, and although my life has changed so much over these 3 years, this book has been a constant I can always go back to. Now that that's out of the way, let me tell you about this book. The translation quality is admirable, although over the entire *2918* chapters, there are several issues. However, on a smaller level, the quality of translation can be considered excellent. 4 stars. The stability of updates is also excellent, with 3 chapters being released per day. HOWEVER, there was this period of time during which not a single chapter was uploaded for 6 months, which is why this Stability of Updates gets 4 stars. Story Development: During the first few "arcs," this was excellent. However, as the story went on the author would just introduce a million different things, and no sane human being could keep up with everything that had happened. The main concept of this book and the development is quite amazing, but the author eventually introduces too many things, and it just becomes the MC finding new things and then beating up people with it every few chapters. 3 stars. Character Design: Remember how I said that the author would introduce a million different things? Well he did the same thing with the characters. At the beginning, there was a smaller range of characters and they were all developed, but as the story progressed, the Author just kept on introducing characters to keep the story going, not the other way around. These characters would often just be punching bags for the MC or just people to "look in awe" at the MC, and would often lack any depth what so ever. The author also outright retconned several characters from the story on several different occasions when he eventually forgot about them. 2 stars. World Background: The idea itself and the scale of the world is amazing, but as I said earlier, the author just introduces too many things which both he and the reader forget about. 3 stars. Now I just wanted to add one more thing before I let you go on with your day. The ending is extremely rushed, and I feel like the author was just trying to get away from the book. Would anyone be kind enough to tell me if they feel the same way? Overall Rating: 3 stars. Had so much more potential, but went in the wrong direction. Still holds a special place in my heart though :)
Another good novel going premium huh. This is totaly not what it is when the translator said it's going to be released on both site. At least stay true to your words. Stopping the release in GT is what you can call as ****ed up as the SS in WN too much to handle for some of us who have many more novels in WN to invest to.
What can I even say? This story was a guilty pleasure for sure. You know it's bad but keep reading anyway. I'm saddened the ending was so rushed too but I hope it gets a sequel somewhere down the line. So many plot points were just abandoned that I just want to cry for caring in the first place. The archangel quest where he needed to kill undead or something. The ash blade. The black dragon sword never got to tier 6. There were supposed to be like 2 other people on the same level as the scholar. A new adventurer team was teased but never properly introduced. Just a lot of things never get resolved. I don't think he even technically finished the quest to gather the 7 treasures or whatever, at least he didn't finish the original purpose of the quest. you can just tell the author got tired of the story and wanted to move on. after that year-long break he had, the story picked up in pace tremendously like he was just trying to get it over with. sad but understandable.
The only thing i hate about the novel was that his main adversary guild that cause him to drunk himself to death has been cut-off from the early stage of the story and, as the story goes on, there's no follow up rather it had been replaced by various random antagonists that pops-up one after the another.
In the previous recent interview that the Author conduct with his fans in China,he said that : "In this game you can be [a Main Tank, Level 200, Tier 6, Saint Legacy Class]..... , and if the person you are facing is Li QiYe that is level 0 with a starter Trash rank weapon, he still can 1-hit kill you.." All your power in real life is gonna be applied in this game and ignore all enemy attributes, even if you completely silenced.. the Author also said to all his readers, especially in WN: F*ck you! this is my f*cking novel, I can bullsh*t what the f*ck I want!... Eat Sh*t! 😂😂😂😂
Story is fine, around 3.5/5, I'm just giving bad review to show that their new premium system is crap. I'm fine if it was cheaper, but that much for short chapter full of filler and repeated explanations is totally not worth it. You could finish most chapters in less than 5 minutes, only to find out that not even 5 minutes had passed in the story.
This novel is horrendous for 2 main reasons 1 all characters aside from mc will start a war over an insult meaning most characters have no personality or maturity towards them making it seem like the mc is the only good guy which creates repetitive war styles repetitive problems and so on at the beginning it's seems good as it is a rather new concept but the author uses the same personalities and it kills the figurative flavour that I enjoy in books. through out the story and screws up the strength system of the game causing the same fights to happen over and over with no new spunk 2 he continues to explain the ******st things by writing essays even when he already wrote 5 essays about it in previous chapters there are no new concepts or ideas within the novel he just recycles old concepts while using literally 5 pages on recycled info that was said again and again and again it lacks it's individuality and entertainment I am extremely disappointed by the lack of imagination put into this book which had so much potential. Sadly this has become a failed novel in my own opinion
I just dropped it. Its too painful to read, REPETITIVE AF. This includes a LOT of fvking PLOT HOLES that might as well give you cancer and Wtf wrong with some of the background characters hatin on the MC like he did something to them. This is just one of those Chinese clichés bullsh*t and to add it up a Mindless author who just wants to milk money out of the repetitive sh*t.
I will NEVER give this a higher rating reason being I'm 130 chapters in today and NOW it's asking me for stones when they're CLEARLY well over 900 chapters to this novel what is this BS? I demand an explanation I'd understand if you required stones at around 500 or so chapters in but a measly 130 that is BS of the highest order.
