Chapter 9

Aria woke up to faintly familiar scent of cologne and the softness of her sheets pressed against her body. She opened her eyes and saw the familiar celling of her bedroom. She was utterly confused on how she arrived home. The last thing that she remembered was falling asleep on his shoulder. Then she found a note from Asher on her beside table . Written on the note was a morning greeting and a smiley face. She covered her flushed face as the memories flow back in her mind. She then ran her fingers through her hair to calm herself. That's when she noticed she was wearing a jacket. Asher's jacket to be exact.

He forgot to get his jacket. It smells faintly of sandalwood mixed with a slightly citrus scent.

She grabs her phone and sent him a message. Then began Making breakfast and feeding Snow.

Aria: You left your jacket at my house.

A few minutes later her phone rang. He just replied.

Asher: You fell asleep wearing it. I didn't want to wake you up.

She smiled at his reply then realized something.

Aria : Then how did I get home?

She anxiously drank her coffee while waiting for his reply.

Asher: I carried you home. As I said I didn't want to wake you up so I just let you be. You looked so cute and peaceful.

She choked on her coffee as she read his reply.

I just want to crawl in a hole and die.

She took a deep breath to calm herself from the embarrassment. Then she quickly ate her breakfast and sat at her desk to finish her assignments. Her hands landed on the notebook her teacher gave to her. She opened it and saw the first few pages where she had written her dreams. Then her phone rang. Surprised, she accidentally hit her hip and made the notebooks topple over and fall to the floor. She was clutching her side when she noticed something shimmer. A letter and a locket had fallen out of the notebook she was given. The notebook was closed with seal and the locket was heart shaped with an emerald in the middle. She placed the letter back inside the notebook and opened the locket. Once she opened it, a soft comforting and vaguely familiar tune flooded her room. There was a picture on one side. It was a girl about her age with blonde and the most striking green eyes.

There was a male beside her. Upon seeing the picture her vision became blurry. Tears began pouring from her eyes and she blacked out. Unaware of her phone ringing.
