CHAPTER 3: Dying again...almost.

"K-Kyle?!" Dumbledore muttered the boys' name just under his breath, however, the boy heard him clearly as that very instant he stopped drooling and looked in his direction.

Kyle who had thought that he would be the only person present in the library and was caught up daydreaming was scared shitless when he heard someone mutter his name. "F-fuck," Kyle mumbled as he saw Dumbledore staring back at him, his very first heist and he was caught by Dumbledore, just brilliant, and he was not even wearing a mask to at least hide his identity.

'The fuck am I supposed to do now?' Kyle thought. He could not just go and explain his circumstances now of all times, well he could and then escape using the time chamber with all the loot. But Kyle was not in the mood to chitchat, he had much more pressing matters at hand. As for Dumbledore telling anyone, anything related to him, Kyle was sure that such a thing would never happen. Kyle trusted the old man and that Dumbledore would be able to figure out everything on his own.

Before Dumbledore could utter another word, a blinding flash occurred, as his blinded vision recovered, he saw that the boy had disappeared, and something else, something that Dumbledore required a few moments to realize due to the absurdity of it.

… 'Merlin's chrysanthemum', Dumbledore thought out loud as his gaze scoured across the library in its entirety. The books…the fucking library books. "Ohhh… by Merlin's beard Pince is going kill me," he muttered. Despite being the headmaster, Dumbledore required the eccentric librarian's permission to enter the library, it was like a spoken and unspoken law that the library was Pince's domain and now, in his presence, the library had been emptied.

Something clicked in his mind…he rushed to the restricted section of the library, as he had expected the books in this section too were gone…but Dumbledore could not care any less. Approaching the wall at the end of the section, he waved his wand in front of the wall and a few seconds later the walls separated to give way to a secret corridor.

The old brick-walled corridor led to a room, in the middle of the room, there was a stone made elevated platform which was now empty. "Merlin's chrysanthemum, it's gone…well it isn't a bad thing, I planned to give it to them on their 11th birthday, let's see that whether being children of prophecy had any link to the book," the forever calm Dumbledore recovered from his panic. The tome was something he and a friend of his had found in an ancient ruin back in Paris. After a long time of failed experiments, Dumbledore still wasn't able to access the contents of the tome, so he instead had decided to guard the tome here in this warded, hidden room.

Wait, the room was warded, how did Kyle get the book?

The last few minutes had been truly a rollercoaster of emotions for Dumbledore, he had been overjoyed, shocked (ofc), in despair (due to Pince), and confused. Now that Dumbledore had somewhat calmed down, he realized that he had placed wards to stop an intruder from entering the room and stealing the ancient tome. "How did he remove the book?" Dumbledore questioned as he used magical sight on the room around him, however, he was once again left in bafflement, his magic sight that had never once failed him had actually detected no sign of magical activity.

Inside the time chamber.

Kyle who had absolutely no idea as to what his current actions would yield in the future was berating himself for this slip. He was lucky that it was Dumbledore that had caught him and none else. All he could do now was to prepare for the future and keep his contact with the outside world to the minimum.

Kyle came out of his house to see a huge pile of neatly placed books that he had stolen from Hogwarts library. These books were the path to power for him, it was time to first sort these books according to the subject list and their level of knowledge.

Time skip 1 week:

Kyle then spent a weeks' worth of time sorting the books properly, he sorted them according to the subject they referred to, namely; alchemy, ancient runes, arithmancy, astronomy, care of magical creatures, charms, curses, defense against the dark arts, divination, enchantments, formations, herbology, history of magic, magicians' anatomy, potions, and transfiguration.

While sorting all these books he found an ancient-looking tome, the pages were pale yellow in color showing that how ancient it really was, but the calligraphy was readable. The hardcover that protected the book had 'Primordial gods tome of magic core cultivation' written on it, and this quite surprised Kyle since never had any sort of cultivation been mentioned in the movies.

This last week had been quite hectic for Kyle, sorting hundreds of thousands of books was quite physically and mentally taxing for a malnourished boy of 7 years of age, and living alone here in this dimension was really boring. The excitement of having a time chamber for his personal use had died out in the first few hours he had spent here.

Kyle was quite intrigued by the title of the tome, a realization then stuck him, if, as the books' title suggested that the wizards had a magic core that needed to be cultivated, it would be better to first master the knowledge related to wizards' anatomy. After that, he could start with wards and charms.

Kyle reentered his house and sat down on the couch. He opened the tome that was placed on his lap and started reading.

'…W-w-wait!' Kyle thought, baffled as he could with minimal effort comprehend and retain the contents of the book. 'Unbelievable,' Kyle continued reading in order to test these new observations that he made.

Nearly 12 hours later, Kyle was done reading the tome. His comprehension abilities and his nearly eidetic memory left him presently surprised, but what he learned about wizards' anatomy shocked him much more. "Why didn't the movies refer to such an important matter?" Kyle questioned only for it to go unanswered.

Time skip 3 months:

The white-haired boy ran outside to grab the other books based on the wizards' anatomy. He spent the next 3 months inside the chamber reading all these books that numbered around 112.

After reading them all, his question about this knowledge not being mentioned in the movies got answered, but new questions now arose. His conclusion was that with time the knowledge of old times, when magicians were respected as gods on earth, was lost. As to why it was lost, and why magicians fell from their former glory, these questions waited to be answered.

The modern books did not mention anything noteworthy, anything that could help wizards with core maturation, nope, not at all.

However, the tome consistently shook Kyle's common sense related to the wizarding world. It informed him that there were 10 stages of core maturation. Kyle summoned his interface and checked for his maturation level.

Interface:

Name: Kyle James Potter

Age: 6-years and 11-months old

Gender: Male

Magic-core stage: 1st stage completion (Foundation realm completion)

Core Attribute: Primal chaos

Abilities, bloodlines, and skills: Hyperbolic Time chamber (description: No time, number of people or number of entries restrictions, unlimited space, internal conditions such as temperature, pressure, gravity, etc can be changed according to will. A beautiful cozy home has been added with an unlimited supply of electricity, water, clothing, food (made by Saiba Jouchiro), etc. The chamber acts as your personal dimension and cannot be intruded into, the user would age according to the time-lapse outside, lastly, you can enter the chamber from your current location and exit it at any point within 1,000 miles.)

"1st stage completion, huh," Kyle muttered above his breath. He was in the 1st stage, which his interface and the tome called the foundation realm. Above this 1st stage were 2nd stage condensation, 3rd stage stabilization, 4th stage maturation, 5th stage expansion, 6th stage transition, 7th stage ascension, 8th stage demigodhood, 9th stage godhood, and 10th stage Omni.

Each of these stages was divided into 3 smaller realms called initial, completion, and perfection. He was in the completion of the 1st stage. Kyle now wondered that how would he fare against a peer of his, the Hogwarts staff, and Dumbledore in terms of core cultivation level.

He learned that before reaching 2nd maturation a wizard could not without any emotional outburst do magic, or as the modern-day wizards called it 'accidental magic.' It next discussed a wizard's potential and how without cultivation techniques the potential was wasted with each advancement in core maturation. Basically, it all meant that without cultivation techniques a wizard's advancement would halt during early core stages unless it was a wizard with monstrous potential which though would also halt the advancements, but at comparatively later stages.

So, either it meant that Dumbledore was using a cultivation technique and had a normal potential or he was not using one of the techniques but was born with a godly potential. As Kyle had gotten this tome from Hogwarts it was highly probable that the former scenario was true. The next thing he learned was to start using a cultivation technique, one needed to start it before reaching completion of the 2nd stage. Once a wizard has reached the mentioned stage, he cannot use any type of cultivation technique.

This meant none of the old coots could practice these cultivation techniques. Fortunately, for Kyle, he did not need to find one, a cultivation technique was imprinted on the last pages of the tome. Kyle had already imprinted and comprehended the formula, now he only needed to start meditation to initiate the process.

As for Harry, Kyle had too much time on his hand, and to contact his brother, Kyle first needed intermediate mastery over charms and an advanced mastery over wards. Once he meets him, he will give the technique to Harry. With Harry cultivating, Kyle would be somewhat assured of his brother's wellbeing.

Kyle sat down cross-legged onto the floor, he closed his eyes and started to focus on his magic, fortunately, he was alone in this dimension, which meant no distractions. Kyle concentrated on his magic flow; his magic was right now in the form of light blue wisps that were moving around in his body without any definite direction. He moved his search from his entire body to his naval region, the place where that feeling had originated from 3 months ago when he was trapped in his grave.

The tome had suggested that the magic core location may vary from one wizard to another. As he inspected his naval region, he detected not one, but multiple sesame seed-sized orbs. This puzzled the 7-year-old boy. He counted them and found them to be 8 in number, there was a 9th orb, much larger in size, it was the size of a marble. Among these 9 orbs, only 2 were emitting light in the darkness inside him, the rest were grey in color. One glowed with a similar light blue color, it was connected to the light blue wisps of magic.

The second one, the one that was many times larger than the others was glowing in white color, a region of white, the size of a ping pong ball surrounded the orb. All these orbs gave him a sense of intimacy. He could move them as he willed, he moved the grey orbs towards each other, on contact they showed no reaction of any sort.

He kept on experimenting; Kyle got curious as to what reaction will the 2 glowing orbs on collision show. He moved the sesame sized orb near the marble-sized orb, as soon as the blue wisps came into contact with the region of whiteness enveloping the white orb, Kyle's body jolted, he coughed up blood, as blood flowed out of his other orifices. His skin cracked as Kyle cried in pain, his head felt like it was being split apart, his entire body felt weak, sore, painful, and numb.

He tried to get up, only to groan in pain and slump down onto the floor. Despite all the pain, Kyle tried to peek into his body's internal condition and the 9 orbs. Some of his organs had ruptured, while the others had somewhat shifted from their original position.

'This is it,' he thought, his breathing was getting weaker, he felt extremely tired and had an urge to sleep, and in spite of willing himself to remain awake, Kyle was slowly drifting to the world of darkness.
