Bou Cheng stormed offin a fit as usual leaving me with yet another job to which was actually his responsibility but since his my boss I can't really do much about it ...Tch shameless bastard.(Sigh...) I wish I could just quit but this is what I get for not taking Mama's advise to take an additional course after college.
I'm Ye Chen an abused overworked employee at a tech company whose goal is to create the sickest MMORPGs out there.
Ever since I was like fourteen I was a hardcore gamer ,l mean I once played non-stop for like nineteen hours till my annoying mom shut off the counsel right when I was about pass this seriously hard event in the game .I didn't talk to her for weeks!
When I got to highschool and advanced to the 8th grade I started getting hooked to shonen manga and anime .My total favourite was ... you know it NARUTO. Damn Naruto was legit and sometimes I still skimp through Shippuden.... Boruto threw me completely off though !! Seriously the developers need to be checked!!
Anyway during my final year of highschool the faculty asked us what we wanna be . I .Didn't .Even . Hesitate....game developer that's what I wanted for sure or at least manga artist ... I ain't no stranger to a pencil believe me .
When I got to college I studied like crazy and finally graduated, needless to say my parents were proud but their elation took a nosedive when I broke the news to them about what I want to be . The old man made a rachet and lectured me for like HOUUURRSS!!! I was torture I tell you torture. My mom surprisingly told me to just do what felt best for me ,with a disappointed tone made me feel worse ....
Of course job offers don't just pop outta nowhere so I had to do a buncha side hassles for three years ... ya I said three and of course stay at my parents like a lazy bum as my Dad so elegantly put it even though I was technically working class.
Eventually the God whom I thought had forsaken me finally answers my prayer, 'bout time to ...geez what does he do all day if it took him that long to help me out . Come to think of it he reminds me of a certain jolly fat man who sits on his ass 364 days a year and FINALLY gets up that one day to do something useful... then gets started on his year long vacation the following day.
I received a letter from the company IG Play.co.My parents were so proud, my mom cause it meant I got a good job and my Dad cause I was finally leaving the house...figures.
When I stood at the front of the building I thought ' this is where my fantasy begins , I'm gonna create the hell outta those games' well that's what thought at the start until just one passed and it was enough to shatter my dreams to dust . Massive overtime , under and belated salaries , almost no holidays or leave and to top it off getting yell at by the abomination known as my Boss...

After finishing the work the B- man gave on toppa his he finally packed up his things making his way to his apartment which was several blocks away.Of course he wasn't financially stable enough to rent let alone BUY a car!!
After walking for a few hours Ye Chen glanced at a convenience store where he saw a bunch of delinquents playing games on their portable devices.
Random Kid- Dude the new IG portal counsel is sick , so lucky my mom got for my birthday been on it since I got .
Random Kid 2- Dude your so lucky , my parents say I can't get one till my grades get up...

Suddenly one of the spots Ye Chen and directs the attention of his friends to him
Random Kid 2- Dude check out the old dude seriously, looks depressing....

Ye Chen simply gritted his teeth tightened his grip on his brief case and continued on the route leading to his home .
Ye Chen- 'Those damn kids just livin off their parents and they look down on me ,Tch... and for the record I'm only 27 years old you bastards...'
The rest of his walk was spent reminiscing about the past when he didn't have to worry about stupid stuff life work ,taxes , health insurance and all that other crap ,when he would just be at his computer playing his favourite games but now with all his work he doesn't have time for them anymore...

Ye Chen suddenly heard screaming and saw a little girl standing paralyzed in the middle of the road and a huge truck was headed in her direction at high speeds.
Ye Chen- HEY WATCH OUUUTTT!!!
Without thinking he ran to the little girl and got her out of the way .When Ye Chen saw the truck was to close to dodge he didn't have his life flash before his eyes like he saw in Isekai anime no only one thought crossed his mind right before the truck hit....
