It's considered taking advantage of a loophole so you need to be worthy of it or die in the tribulation.

Time felt so slow for him as he kept absorbing the more metal Qi and after a long time which felt like a year, Inside his Dantian metal roots slowly took shape and after a long time the roots took form and he felt the metal Qi inside his Dantian.

He inhaled and exhale deeply for a few moments and check his Dantian again making sure everything was alright.

"Zhou jing are you there?" said yang wen

"Yes young master, do you need something?" said the maid politely.

"How long have I been inside my room?" he continues

"Did anything of significance happen inside the family while I was closed-door?"

"You stayed inside for 1 month 19 days 8 hours," said Zhou jing as she continue.

That was quite the detail Yang wen thought.

"As for the family situation, there's nothing of significance that happened, ummm ah right Young master kong passed the 5th trial placing 2nd among the current younger generations while nobody can replace your 1st place in the pagoda and many younger generations challenged you because of it," said Zhou jing.
