In history, the fastest to reach 10 layers in body tempering was recorded to be around 3 years while he took only 2 years normally a genius from a famous sect or family takes around 5 years to reach this realm.
Which is why this breakthrough made him quite famous which he didn't want to show but was helplessly unable to hide during his sparing as he needed a really good combat awareness and experience.

Although Yang Zhong was holding a huge sword every time Yang wen slash this burly man will strike back easily while making it seems like he was swinging a twig.
Yang wen took a deep breath his right foot took a step back while both of his hands held firmly at his sword once his right foot took a step forward he exhale and his sword came with a downward slash aimed at Yang Zhong.
Yang Zhon tried countering by sending a verticle slash but the sword from Yang wen didn't come downward instead Yang wen ducked sideways while bending down, he made a quick draw and did a horizontal slash aiming at his opponent's stomach.
"Ehhhh" Yang Zhong let out a surprised voice but he react quickly and easily deflected Yang wen horizontal slash with ease.
'Haaaaa im spent I"ll just sleep here for a while' Yang wen thought and fell after his final strike.
"I didn't expect that slash, it was quite an interesting technique, anyway this can be counted as my first loss, as I didn't use the same cultivation realm as you," Yang Zhong said calmly.
